Nathaniel replied "These are dark times. It is up to us to bring back the light."

Nathaniel looked up into the sky, watching the clouds slowly drift. He took a moment, unclenching his jaw and spoke "When do we move on?"

"As soon as possible. However it is being decided on the meeting," Mistrandar said. "Boralays is down there."

Nathaniel said "Good, good. I think that covers everything I wanted to discuss. I will take my leave my lords." He bowed slightly before turning sharply on his heel and heading away from the centre of the camp towards his own tent in the south-western area of the camp.

((How far is this camp from Ataya?))
"Stand against me if you must, for of course you will. Conflict is just another part of this flawed reality. You need to cling to your concepts and purposes, your feeble honour and glory. None of it serves any purpose in the end. And the end draws close." - Krodalis Thaendil.

"It really is amazing; she killed Kelan Wealer, not that I am complaining, but then the order welcomed her as their new leader. It makes one wonder if I were to ram a blade down her throat, would the monks then follow my commands?" - Mordain Thaendil.

Urden'Hel moved at the head of the army. Kazmar'Ach was further behind. The army had passed Adae, and a small force had been dispatched under the command of a single necromancer to ensure that the city was lifeless, and then to burn it to the ground.

Now, the vast army of the Dark Lord was nearing the river.

Amalrith returned to his tent once more. To meditate, harnessing his mind before once more trying to make contact with Hans Drairan.

Andros followed him inside and sat in front of him, watching the elf close his eyes and his face become calm. The fingers of Amalrith twitched as the magical momentum of Amalrith built up. But he was not alone, suddenly he opened his eyes.

"What are you doing?" he said in a surprised voice to Andros. He had noticed the magical energy built up around the other mage as well.

"I'm just feeling. Riding, mounting the magical weaves flowing from you Amalrith," Andros said with a smile.

"What do you mean?" Amalrith voice staggered.. "You manage to make contact with mine...? Ride on them?"

Andros' smile widenend, his teeth and pointy nose giving him almost a scary look was it not for the fatherly glow in his eyes. "You know... I could even steer them if I wanted too."

Amalrith looked at Andros in awe, but slowly the amazement turned into distrust. Then Andros broke into a laughter. "Have no fear Amalrith, do you think Borsun is the only one amongst us who can joke by now? Please, let me simple mediate with you. Ride on the magical weaves, side by side."

Amalrith slowly nodded, though he closed his eyes first after Andros had closed his.

Entering the tent, Nathaniel put his musette bag down on the simple cot and leant his oaken staff against the fabric of the tent. The mage opened the bag and pulled a fresh robe from it. It was black, a rich fabric with patterning along the edges of the sleaves and hem. It had a hood as part of the robe, requiring no seperate cloak. Unfastening the belt buckle at his waist, he changed from the light blue robes covered in blood, mud and dust into the clean black robe.

After replacing his belt, Nathaniel noticed the scarring on his forearms. The black robe was short-sleaved, unlike the light blue robe. He flexed his right arm instinctively, looking at the flesh for a moment. It mattered not.

Mordus stirred uneasily on his bedroll. The firewine was playing tricks on his mind, and he could not turn anywhere in his dreams without being haunted by the dead. He perspired greatly as he turned and thrashed in search of appeasement, but to no avail.

He awoke in the deepth of the night, rid of his usual senses. Only a few hours had passed since he had spoken to Kaylyn he surmised wearily.

He flung his blanket asside in irritation, aware of his induced clumsiness. The glare of the fire caught his eye before his could linger on anything and set him wondering. Someone must have fed it.

He flinched a movement at the sound of something; just someone entering their tent.

Wait a minute, he thought. That mage. What was his name again...? Natha - It mattered not.

Even through his hazy state Mordus could sense a hint of the ethereal around the man, passingly. Well, he thought. That would make for more interesting conversation than most.

"Perhaps you would care to join me." He said louldy enough to be heard through the canvas.

Nathaniel heard the voice from a nearby tent, it was familiar but he did not place it at first. He turned and left his tent, rubbing his arm idly. He said "Lord Mordus?" Nathaniel saw the fire outside of the other tent, and walking near he could feel its warmth.

Peloron reentered the tent and said, "Lord Aldron, the two warriors are waiting for you. They wish to speak with you about...Ariakas?"

Aldron shrugged. "We are almost done." Returning his attention to the other generals, Aldron said, "So we make for Asulien, then, with all due haste, and send word to the Dwarves."

"Yes, Milord," came hte consensus.

"Very well," said Aldron, and he stepped away from the table and said to Peloron as the generals dispersed, "Send them in." Peloron left the tent. As James made ready to leave, Aldron grabbed him by the arm. "I want you to stay for this."

James arched his eyebrow. "Milord?"

"Just do it, James."

James nodded. "Alright, Milord..."

A moment later, Peloron returned with the two Warriors of Mjolnir in his wake. "Milords," said Peloron with a respectful nod, and he stepped aside.

"Hrmmm," He grumbled as he got up to sit on a crate, firewine still burning a hole in his gut.

"I hear through the Seekers, but I am deaf in regards to the Mages of the Tower. Unease is stirring, what have you heard from them?"

Nathaniel nodded "There is unease, there is concern. Mostly the mages are annoyed that Raquil could not be evacuated."

Mordus nodded wearily.

"Many more may yet be lost before we can make a stand. As cruel as it may sound to you, Raquil is a small price to pay for the added time its destruction has yielded." He sighed.

"It is said that management of the many is like management of the few. Always they fail to add that the difference lies in empathy, or lack of it within the former. Such is the price you pay for the greater good."

He looked too and fro, scanning the ground for something, stood up, and opened the crate he had been sitting on. It was almost full of bottles like the one he had discarded earlier. He picked one out and reseated himself whilst opening it.

"Can I tempt you with some of the finest poison in Weissland?" He said and took a swig of the firewine.

Both Justin and Bana hailed Lord Aldron with a bow, Bana's slightly more stiff.

"My lord," Justin began. "I will make this short. We come from Ordail, after coming there with the army of the White Realm. We were sent as messengers to bring news that you will have the aid of the army of Hound and the White Realm soon by your side. Also, on our way here we passed the army under leadership of Narandar, the remnants of the army led by Rios in the White Realm. They will be here in one day."

From the west came a tight formation of heavily armoured warriors. The leader was at the front, a giant in bulk and sheer muscle. Their weapons were enormous hammers, made to smash bone and crush tough hide.

Xander looked around him at the Cerylian banner which the man beside him held up proudly. He and the Undead Hunters would soon reach the army.

Nathaniel sniffed the air as Mordus drank. He said "Firewine! I've not had firewine in a decade."
