Mountains of Kuren w/ Pass of Kuren

Mistrandar looked angry at this, "But why? If we are to succeed we need to fight together. Do you have any way of contacting him?"

"Damn him!" shouted James, suddenly vibrant again. "If there is to be any possibility of success, we have to all be on the same page! All forces should have been coordinated under a single commander, not spread out between individual cells with none subordinate to the other! How many other forces are there? Are there any others?"

"I'm not sure how many Mordus brought with him. Other than his and yours, the only other troops nearby are in Ataya, to my knowledge."

"Lord Lathaon!" Mistrandar's voice was pleading. "Time is short. Can't you contact him with a spell sphere?"

"I could attempt to, but I have no idea where he is, remember?" Lathaon said. "The mountains of Kuren are a large area to search with a single eye."

"I understand", Mistrandar nodded. "Well, we'll have to do on our own then."

Turning to Lathaon, James asked, "How many men did you bring with you?"

"Sixteen in total. There are two other mages, and twelve archers. Enough to fulfil my goals, if all goes to plan, but not enough to win the battle for you."

"Of course not," said James. "I just like to know what exactly is on our side. Is there anything else to discuss? Because if not we should get to sleep...we have an important fight ahead of us."

"Yes. I would like to know when you think I should attack. When the enemy army comes into sight, when they charge, or when they reach your lines? Or on a signal?"

"You should not attack until Drathmor's forces have reached my lines and they are completely engaged," said James. "That way they will not be on guard for your forces."

((Drathmor's army is, roughly, 1,100,000 in size. This has been split into three different armies, and you face an army that is 250,000 strong.))

Moarbrek sat atop his steed, looking at the enemy camp. It was still a small distance away, but the Lich Lord was tired of waiting. Now, Weissland would feel the wrath of the Defiled Kingdom.

He turned to a Disciple. "Have the horde begin their advance. In no more than an hour, I want to see the blood of these wretches spilt upon the earth."

The Disciple relayed the command and the vast army moved as one towards the Weissland camp.

Distantly, Moarbrek heard a call. His eyes looked to the sky and his mood darkened. "Ruin."

((I hope you guys realise that this is the start of the attack. You've got about an hour before I reach you.))

-----

High above the armies of evil, a lone rider sat atop a mighty dragon. This dragon was magnifficent and massive. Truly, the rider was a man of great strength. He sat atop his mount wrapped in a thick cloak, yet he seemed to be able to communicate with the beast. By merely placing his hand upon its back, he commanded the dragon to drop to the camp.

The landing was abrupt and filled many with fear; soldiers grabbed weapons or ran for their lives as a mighty dragon dropped into the middle of their camp. As the beast reared backwards, the rider called out across the camp.

"Where is Lathaon?"

"It really is amazing; she killed Kelan Wealer, not that I am complaining, but then the order welcomed her as their new leader. It makes one wonder if I were to ram a blade down her throat, would the monks then follow my commands?" - Mordain Thaendil.

The charge was about to begin, and Vardakh sat atop his demonic steed alongside Moarbrek.

"We move now?" he asked.

HIC, I demand that you bludgeon yourself with a rock until your mental status returns to the level of a rapist who calls back to apologise! Your use of elaborate language and words is making me uneasy. Although, I am somewhat relieved to see that your punctuation remains shit-based.

As the frightened soldiers were calmed down by the officers and grouped together, weary of the dragon and its rider.

Mistrandar stepped forth, "Who wants to see the Lord of Weissland?". He was covered by a blue aura, easily showing his magical protection. Mistrandar took no chances.

Nathaniel dreamed, deep in a sleep brought on by his fatigue. Still, even in his sleep he gripped the hilt of his sword, and within the scabbard it glowed, bright then dull, almost throbbing with a life of its own, as if it was a heartbeat.

In his dreams he saw the sky, at first he shielded his eyes from the brightness of the sun, but gradually he realised it was not the sun. The sky itself was on fire, crackling and flaming, and worst of all, he could hear the very air screaming. Then the sound changed, from a high pitched, neverending wail, to a multitude of cries, and sounds. Slowly he turned on the spot, looking around him. He heard the sound of sword and spear and shield and breaking bone and the splash of blood on rock. The wet, slapping thumps and thwacks of sword or mace on flesh. And he saw it all, a swirling melee of combat all around him. They seemed oblivious to him, as he stood there looking on. Hundreds of soldiers of Weissland, and foul creatures and things which should not be fought around him. No, thought, not hundreds, thousands, thousands of thousands and more beyond. Beyond reach, beyond sight, like ants swarming in the hive. Everyone, everywhere, war was all that was left.

He stood there, his sword in his hand, looking at what he could see. Then he raised his hands, one clutching the side of his head, the other holding the flat of the crossbar against his temple. All he could do was shout "Has the whole world gone mad?"

Nathaniel woke with a start, the sword still in its scabbard, nothing near him, not even the spirit. He would get no more sleep tonight.

Moarbrek turned slowly towards Vardakh. "Yes, demon. Have your soldiers began their advance."

"I am Ruin, one of the seven Dragon Lords. I have come to speak with the Archmage. Now, where is he?" said the rider.

Vardakh's pale humanoid features seemed to glow sickeningly in delight. Grimmacing, he revealed a set of demon-like razor sharp fangs that were horribly miscoloured. Vardakh urded gis mount on as he placed on his helmet.

Now, the image was complete. The black plate armour was threateningly pointed. Symmetrical in all aspects, the Demon Lord's sword hung at his left hip whilst the Sword of Mkel was sheathed on Vardakh's back, in the reach of his spindly fingers. The horned helmet shone in the fell light as Vardakh punched the air in triumph.

"Charge forth, servents of Drathmor!"

((Ruin is not what you would call... subtle. However, that is my fault for not paying attention to detail, and so I apologise.))
