The Lich Lord continued on, moving faster now. His dark powers were whispering to him; the living were near. Weissland forces were ready to be slain. Moarbrek grinned darkly. |

"Stand against me if you must, for of course you will. Conflict is just another part of this flawed reality. You need to cling to your concepts and purposes, your feeble honour and glory. None of it serves any purpose in the end. And the end draws close." - Krodalis Thaendil. "It really is amazing; she killed Kelan Wealer, not that I am complaining, but then the order welcomed her as their new leader. It makes one wonder if I were to ram a blade down her throat, would the monks then follow my commands?" - Mordain Thaendil. One of the Last Guardians. Suck it. | |

Vardakh continued his stealthily advance. The night was bitterly cold, and a whip-like wind howled and cracked through the pass of Kuren. A low, dense fog clung to the ground, covering the rubble-strewn ground and giving it an eery appearance. The Dark Lord of Omens spoke to himself quietly, under his breath. His angular facial features rarely gave any sign of emotion, but the mental battle inside Vardakh was a pain far beyond any physical harm one could endure. "The Defiled Kingdom no long is your home, Vardakh. You are an outcast" the voice inside his head said. The voice was clear and chilling, yet somewhat familiar. "Do no blaspheme! My place is at the side of the Dark One," Vardakh answered, replying out loud to his confused mind. Inside, his thoughts mericlessly pounded his skull; ricocheting back and forth about his twisted mind. The voice laughed heartily. "Vardakh, your time has come. Soon, it shall begin." |

James nodded. "So the Wall was easily overtaken? How did they breach it so easily?" |

"They were like the giants of the fairy-tales, only that they looked like just like the rest of the undead creatures. Towering constructions made up by bone, but formed like mankind," Loter said. |

"More terrifying to see it than believe it my lord," Loter said. "Wielding tremendous weapons. We did not manage to truly harm it at all I'm afraid. The mages at the Great Wall were killed by a quick attack made up of daemons before that. The leader of those is certainly the most deadly warrior I have ever seen." |

Nathaniel scoffed at that remark "Ha! No more deadly than a berserk creature. That demon might have strength, but no brain to back it up. Moarbrek is the deadly one, the one we should be worried about." |

Loter turned sharply to Nathaniel, "No brain? You met this one also face to face. And even Moarbrek?" Loter turned to James quickly then, explaining "Nathaniel here has been among the enemies as a prisoner so he might give you far more information that most people may." |

Nathaniel looked at both Loter and Castoden and said "Moarbrek is a serious threat. He is a very skilled swordsman. He quickly and soundly proved that my skill with a blade is like that of a child compared to him. He is intelligent and overwhelmingly powerful in the use of necromancy. I believe the only reason I survived my short duel with him was that he under-estimated me and more than a little bit of luck on my part. And my sword." |

The walls of the Pass shook as the massive army moved on, their coming heralded by the thunderous roar of hundreds of thousands of feet marching onward. Moarbrek still led the army from atop his skeletal warhorse. Xalis'Kan, the Angel of Death, dropped from the skies to hover beside him. "Lord Moarbrek, I have scouted ahead. The Weisslanders have established a large military camp." said the Disciple. "We will crush them, in the name of the Master." came Moarbrek's heartless reply. ((When will you guys be ready for the battle? And also, I need a description of where your military base has been set up and what its surroundings are.)) |

((We'll be ready in the morning, so basically as soon as our convo is done, we go to sleep, and then get back up.
The camp is at the mouth of the pass, so pretty much it is wide open with a few scattered trees and rocks.))James nodded. He himself was a very skilled swordsman, some even touted him as one of the greatest, but he knew that to overestimate his own ability was a dangerous thing, and to underestimate an enemy was as well. "Thank you both," said James. "Darnil, get these men some tents." Turning back to Loter and Nathaniel, James asked, "We go into battle in the morning; will you fight with us? Or shall you continue back to Ataya and northward from there to join the rest of the army?" |

Loter smiled to James, "You are here Lord Castoden, and a few moments ago I saw Lord Thaendil himself drop from the sky mounted on an eagle. Surely I won't miss the chance of fighting beneath both of your banners at the same time. We'll make our stand here." ((Jonno, should maybe land in the camp now?)) |

The eagle landed, bringing up a cloud of dust. As it settled, the archmage dismounted, staff in hand. He was just outside the camp, where there was enough space for the huge creatures. |

The spirit was whispering constantly to Nathaniel now, it took a considerable effort to shut her out and concentrate on what others were saying. He finally said "Lord Castoden. If there is nothing else you command of me, perhaps I should retire? I will need to rest to recover my energy to cast spells when battle is joined." |

Lathaon walked to the army camp and asked the soldiers to bring him to James Castoden. Some were surprised at the archmage's unexpected appearance in the Pass. Indeed, not many knew of his plans. The bottom of his white robes were tarnished by dirt by the time he reached the tent. The soldiers all knew the significance of the robes - they knew he would be part of the battle. |

Loter nodded to both Nathaniel and James, "Same case with me. I think I need to get as much rest as I can before battle commence." ------------------------------------------------------ Mistrandar Alicant dismounted from his own eagle and followed in the wake of Lathaon. |

"Of course," said James. "We shall be rising before dawn, so get as much sleep as possible." As the two men were lead off by Darnil, James saw an elf in white robes walking towards him and immediately bowed to the man. "Archmage," said James. |
