((Oh crap, not Moarbrek again. Better run faster. ))Nathaniel continued walking as quickly as he could. The rest of the group was moving as well, with a couple of scouts ahead of the main group. As he walked, a sudden wave of doubt came over Nathaniel Drakkon, something was wrong. But for the time being he could not discern what the problem was. He hurried on, but laid his left hand to rest on the hilt of his sword, not to draw, as it was the wrong hand, just for a slight feeling of safety. |

((Well since James has already set up camp and you travels faster than him I think you could arrive in his camp whenever you want to. Although I think it would make more sense if that was played out in the Kuren-topic since the pass is so narrow for a army camp. But nevermind that since the pass might be wider in the north end)) |

((Well, Rudder said they camped just outside the pass. So technically they are between the pass and Kuren itself.)) |

((Vardakh went on his own accord. This symbolises his growing detatchment from the Defiled Kingdom and more precisely, Drathmor.)) Vardakh and his companion looked at each other as their mounts pounded at the air around them. Below, they could see the vague figures of people; moving quickly along the Kuren Pass. "They are on the move. I shall return to the Great Wall and inform The Dark Lord of this," said Vardakh, as he yanked on the chains around the neck of the drake. With a blood-stilling cream, the drake looped in the air and flew to the Great Wall. |

Nathaniel walked on, feeling the gravelly ground crunch and scape beneath his sturdy leather boots. He heard the footsteps of the others, the sound of birds in the air, the falling of loose pebbles from above, a multitude of sounds. Gradually he focussed on nothing but the sound of his own heartbeat, pushing the distracting noises away. It was an old technique, helping to centre him and conserve energy. With just a nudge of magical power it would keep him walking even though his body was exhausted. At least for a while longer, long enough perhaps, to reach Kuren, Nathaniel thought. |

(Yes I know its been a while but I've been stoned, drunk and shroomed off my face for the better part of two weeks. At least the roof has stopped melting... Ok so if I understand the situation correctly; Loter and Gorfang are about halfway through the pass with the Great Wall survivors; AlexH is glareing evily and Rud is with a force right outside the pass on the Kuren side. Yes? Ok if thats the case i'll subvert the time flow a little and place my scouting force (which would have left Ataya shortly after me) just ahead of Rud's force. Ok?) --Enters from Kuren-- Mordus drove Draicha up the pass, skimming the top of the thinning tree-line and lifting up as it gave way to the bare, cold bones of the mountains themselfs. As he entered the pass proper - which was surprisingly straight considering its location - he spied movement in the distance, and frowned. Surely the undead could not have reached the pass already. He pulled her to a halt by the reins and she reared up to slow herself before hovering to the ground. Still saddled he delved into one of the many saddlebags attached to her harness, unbuckled one and retrieved an oblong leather tube - a spyglass. He was even more unsettled when he realised what the moving figures were. There couldn't possibly be survivors his mind gabbled. He'd seen to that. |

((Sounds good to me :), especially that the roof has stopped melting, nice to hear that )) The survivours reached a point in the pass where they gained a good view of Weissland. Loter pointed north. "There's Kuren," he said, "what's left of it at least." Then he was about to walk on again, but then he stopped, because as the sun slowly rose from the east the light showed him more of what lay before them. "That is an army camp." |

Nathaniel stepped up beside him. He said "Yes, it is. Come on, we've got to find out who they are. We can only hope they are from Weissland." |

Soon, as the early morning turned brighter, there could be little doubt that at least the camp looked liked it belonged to Weissland. Some of the men even meant that they could spot the banners of Castoden, Halsel and Ataya. Still, Loter said they needed to be careful. "Even though they might be our allies, they might not think the same about us. Their scouts will find us soon enough as we approach, but they might believe that there were no survivors and therefore consider us enemies. So tread with care now." |

Nathaniel agreed "You are right Loter. For all they know the defences were overrun without hope of retreat from the Great Wall." He walked on, carefully now, cautious both for threats from behind, and misidentification from ahead. |

[[Entering from Great Wall]] Vardakh's drake was flying through the thin line of afternoon cloud. Below he could see the Dark One's host. Vardakh enjoyed the thought of the feast to come. |

*RPing as Moarbrek* --Enters from Great Wall-- Moarbrek marched with the vast army towards the Pass of Kuren. It would take little time to reach the Pass itself; and once there, Moarbrek knew he had only to slay the enemies of his Master. The battle would be quick. Weissland would fall. |

The host was gathering its pace through the pass. Its relentless march would see them catch the Weisslanders in no time. Vardakh saw Moarbrek at the helm of the host, and commanded his drake to dive to meet Drathmor's second-in-command. |

Moarbrek turned towards Vardakh as the demon descended from the skies. "What is it, Vardakh?" |

Suddenly the voice was stopped by a voice crying out between the rocky outcrops of the cliffside. "Halt, who goes there?" "It is I, Loter Arthious of Weissland," Loter responded. A single man appeared and walked slowly and carefully towarsd the group, with a hand on his sword. Finally, a few meters ahead of them he stopped, removed his hand and smiled. Then he walked forward, looked at the face of Loter before bowing to him and greeting the others. "It's good to see you sir, we thought there were none survivours." "My good friend," Loter said, "We don't have much time. Who is the general of the army here?" "That is Lord Castoden sir." "Please take us to him." |
