Vardakh, with both his weapons drawn, surged forward. In a single slash of martial discipline, he brought the two weapons down in unison. Aattacking the Shield Wall with such brute force, the Sword of Mkel tore through the shields of two Weissland soldiers before the shortsword made light work of their armour. |

*RPing as Xalis'Kan* The Fallen Angel continued his brutal attack, tearing the Weissland soldiers aside with his scythe and blowing them away with his powerful black fire magic. After slaying another small number of soldiers, he rose into the air once more. Another ball of fire consumed his hand before being launched at the defenders. More fell; he could not be stopped. ----- *RPing as Ruin* Still the dragon tore through the enemy, but then Ruin saw something, something powerful and evil. The Demon Lord, Vardakh, was hacking his way through the Weissland lines. "Pathetic." said Ruin passively. He reared his dragon, circling in the air, before his mount dropped down, moving straight for the demon. As he neared his foe, Ruin leapt from the back of his steed. The mighty dragon kept going, using her claws and teeth to destroy a number of the enemy surrounding the demon. Ruin stood clad in a suit of brilliant bronze armour; a plate chest piece, gauntlets and boots covered him, with golden chain mail covering everything else. He was completely encased beneath his armour, his body hidden from sight. His helmet was tall; two dragon teeth were fixed to the top, acting as horns. Only two slits provided sight for him. Finally, he wore a heavy, dark brown cloak, the hood covering his helmet bar the horns. "You, demon, have existed for far too long. Come now, and taste your doom." Ruin drew his sword; it was magnifficent. The hilt was gold and inscribed with strange patterns. The blade was long and untarnished, spotless and perfect. Ruin raised his weapon before him, waiting for the demon to attack. |

Mordus saw only chaos as he made Draicha dive and rake the undead tranks with her claws, loosing an occasional bolt of magic at the vast horde. Morbidly, more undead were always quick to follow. Above the merciles combat eagles soared amongst two other creatures. One was immense even by draconic standards, the other all too familiar. Mordus pulled the drake up and gained altitude fast, comming up at the winged figure from beneath. |

Xalis'Kan was too slow to notice the approach of the beast from beneath; a tearing jaw smashed into him, sending him hurtling through the air before falling towards the ground. The Fallen Angel steadied himself after a moment, but had to move quickly to avoid a second attack from the drake and its rider. Xalis'Kan knew this mortal. "You..." Pulling his hand back, he conjured more fire. A dark volley was hurled at the drake, though the beast narrowly dodged the attack. Xalis'Kan flew straight for the drake, raising his scythe, ready to strike the rider. |

Mordus hardened under the shiver of cold vengance which crept up his spine and forced its way to every extremity. He pulled Draicha into a hover after knocking the thing backwards a second time. It came at him with unforseen speed and ferocity, scythe arm raised to cut short his vengance. He had to swerve sharply to one side to avoid the weapon, but as the dark blur of his enemy passed he felt a sharp sting across his forehead. He cursed louldy as he felt blood trickle from the gash and pulled the drake round to dive. He spat an incantation and conjoured a black spear in his free hand as he did so, heading for another sweep at the Xalis'Kan. |

The drake circled and charged once more, though this time, the rider had a dark spear. Xalis hovered in the air, waiting for the opertune moment. As the drake neared, just as the rider was getting close to launching his attack, the Fallen Angel raised his hand; a jet of black fire burst forth, striking the drake. The beast howled in pain and began falling towards the ground below. |

((Whoa, slow down
))"Milord, are we going after that thing or what?" the eagle rider behind Lathaon shouted, almost into his ear. The archmage watched as Mordus arrived and attacked. "No, let Mordus deal with him. We do not have the time or resources to be spending too much time and effort on each prey." He spotted a huge construct of flesh amongst the enemy army. "Bring us lower," Lathaon ordered. The thing was a hideous shambling mass of corpses and body parts, merged into one. "Take it down." It was peppered with arrows and a couple of spells, but did not seem to be affected whatsoever. Lathaon leant forward, staff held out in front of him, and brought his own magic to bear on the creature - sending a concentrated stream of white-hot fire to engulf it. |

Mag'Dar felt the attacks from above, but it cared not. Roaring and howling, it rampaged forward, throwing undead aside as it made its way straight for the Weissland lines. The immense creature tore into the Weissland defenders; they could not stand against it, for it was a terrible construct of flesh and bone. Pain meant nothing to the Abomination. ----- Moarbrek looked to the skies, searching for those who had attacked Mag'Dar. And he spotted them quickly. More importantly, he spotted Lathaon. Raising his hands, Moarbrek invoked his dark magic. In a wide radius, the undead began to fall apart. Rather, they were torn apart by unnatural power. Their bones and flesh were drawn to Moarbrek and, on the ground before him, they began to fuse together, creating a new, horrific creature. When the spell was complete, the beast that stood was a massive dragon-like force of the dead. The Lich Lord climbed atop the back of his new mount. With a mighty roar, the dragon rose into the air, making its way straight for Lathaon and his companions. |

Lathaon sensed the magic beneath him before the spell was complete. He watched, unimpressed. The newborn mount and its rider approached the group. "That lich thinks he can catch an eagle, the fastest, most agile creatures of the sky, with a crude creation like that," Lathaon said joyfully, and brought the great eagle up higher. "Spread out; we have a new target already. Let him come to me and then surround him." |

Ruin held the gaze of the Demon Lord. "I, foolish demon, am Ruin, oldest of the Dragon Lords." ----- Moarbrek watched as the eagles spread in the sky. If Lathaon was hoping to surprise the Lich Lord with such a maneouvre, then he was a fool. Again, Moarbrek invoked his powers. Shadowy forms began to manifest around him; they were dark as night and winged. Eighteen of them were spawned. Their forms were large, though not as large as the eagles that bore the Archmage and his companions. "Seek out the living; teach them terror." commanded the Lich Lord. The dark forms rushed through the darkness with unnatural speed. They split into small groups, each group chasing down a different eagle. Moarbrek's mount continued to rise through the air. It was slower than the eagles, and clumsier, but its raw strength made up for that. |

Ruin raised his blade, blocking the attack. As Vardakh landed, Ruin rolled, rose and spun, bringing his blade back in an attempt to strike the demon's torsoe. But the demon was skilled; he blocked the attack with little effort. Leaping backwards, Ruin landed some ten feet away. He rose his hand towards the demon. Terrible shockwaves erupted, sending the Demon Lord hurtling backwards. Ruin raised his sword into a defensive position and awaited the next attack. |

"You live up to your name, Ruin," Vardakh said in between two clean strikes. The Dragon Lord parried easily; the contest was a fascinating one. Vardakh swung with the Sword of Mkel before jabbing with his shortsword, but the fluidity of Ruin was incredible as he expertly defended the onsalught of the Dark Lord of Omens. He was a skilled swordsman, there was no doubting that. |

The Dragon Lord maintained a strong defence. This demon was a creature of hate and aggression; Ruin knew this. Defeating him in an offensive would be challenging, so Ruin chose to wait, blocking the demon's attacks. A weakness would present itself soon enough. |

Vardakh was finding Ruin a difficult obstacle to overcome. Knowing he could not defeat this creature with swordplay, he opted for another form of attack; the Force. Vardakh closed his eyes and allowed his feelings to overcome the adrenaline that pumped through his veins. Vardakh swung accurately with such force and speed that Ruin was forced backwards under the onslaught. However, his defence would simply not yield. Vardakh let the power flow through him as he sent a violent shockwave in Ruin's direction, which knocked the Dragon Lord to the floor. |

As Ruin hit the ground, he swung his leg, in-turn knocking the Demon Lord down. In the next instant, he flipped himself back through the air, bringing his sword down to pierce the creature's heart. But the demon rolled to the side, avoiding the attack. Again, Ruin flipped through the air, landing another ten feet away from his foe. He assumed his defensive stance once more. |

Lathaon strengthened the shield around him and watched the forms, of which he seemed to have been gifted with a group of more than two, make their feeble attacks against his barrier. Meanwhile, he launched a searing bolt of magic at the creatures which hounded one of the eagles nearby - one without a mage to protect it. |

((How can it feed off the life force of the host when the host is a dead corpse? Also just to be frank, "The Force" seems a stupidly blatant rip
 )) Draicha's wing beats became erratic as she lost altitude and Mordus had to pull hard on the reighns to keep her from going into a vertical dive. He pulled her out of a wild tumble just a few meters off the ground and brought her - claws careering through the undead - up once again. She was furious with pain. He raised the black spear and threw it at Xalis'Kan with a mighty effort. The creature took the spear to a wing, going clean through and falling speedily to the ground below. Mordus turned the drake for another sweep, knowing he could afford no pause. As he tugged the reighns with one hand he summoned the spear once again into his other. |
