They were now close to the drop site. There was only an hour to go. Andy got up and took his gear out of the netting. He double checked his weapons and that he all the kit he would need. He picked up his parachute and face mask and put them with his gear. He crouched silently working away until he was satisfied.

His parachute was in place and his pack was set. His knife was in the sheath on his chest and his pre-breather was in place. All of his weaponry was packed away. It was far too dangerous to have weapons loaded or unpacked for a HALO jump.

He pulled on his chute and he had his mask and helmet ready to go on a little closet to the time. His knife was attatched to his chest and made sure everything was secure. His gear was secured into place for the jump, they were going to be heavy but such was the way with these longer missions. Armed Resolutions Incorporated, shit it was like a bad joke about the whole thing but it worked and they got the job done, only once in their history had they not done the job the first time and a sniper shot had done the job the next day. Andy had been pulling the trigger and it had been good to get rid of the tarnish on the company name, "Ready MacLeod?" Andy asked, he and MacLeod both came from Scotland and also got on reasonably well which was a plus in a unit where those who survived needed to rely on each other. In truth Black liked MacLeod's dour nature very like so many of Black's old friends back in the SBS and even a few he knew from the SAS.

A purple monkey on a magic carpet Posts: 633 Group: Members Member #268 Joined: January 3, 2008	Kaizer noticed movement in the plane and looked up, seeing Andy and MacLeod preparing for the HALO jump. Seeing this Kaizer put his Sudoku book away and began to prepare aswell. He checked that his KBAR was secured and put it in his bag, checked his bag was all 'zipped up', stood up to grab a parachute and checked that it was fully operational. Kaizer was very paranoid about parachutes, and alway made sure they worked before a jump. Kaizer then attached his gear to his body, his weapons in his bag.

He tapped his altimeter out of habit before getting up and hitting the ramp switch with his mask in response to MacLeod's question. The air roared in. "I'll race you down." He shouted as he swiped on the mask and took a run for the ramp, diappearing over the edge.

The Arm Of Retribution Posts: 7,145 Group: High Councillor Member #58 Joined: June 24, 2005	Andy jumped out angling his body so he didnt get into a spin he couldn't control, he flew through the air, the wind whipping around him, he saw the others beacons on their backs which emited a faint flash every few seconds. His altimeter watch showed his height, another few seconds before he would be able to open. This was going to be close, always was but the mission required it. They were dropping past the frontline into chinese territory. Chutes below him opened and began to slow their users, Andy soon caught up with them and pulled his own chute. The jolt showed his canopy had opened correctly. Now they just had to get to the ground.

With that done, he took his pack and removed his sidearm and main weapon. Assembling the component parts of the carbine, he slammed in a magazine and took up a covering position to the north-east of the drop site. For this mission MacLeod was using an M4 carbine with M68 Close Combat Optic and XM26 LSS shotgun instead of his usual sniper rifle.

He pulled the chute towards him and folded it. He quickly and competently got out his weapon assembled it and slammed in the magazine before cocking it. He covered the opposite direction to MacLeod.

The Ukrainian was thankful for solid earth, but he wasted no time reacquainting hims legs with the ground below. He quickly gathered the parachte together, hastily folding up the giant canvas, before assembling his P90. He slammed an ammo magazine in place, before doing the same with his Walther P99 silenced pistol.
