--Enters from The White Realm--

The eagles descended and landed in Ordail. Mordain and his company entered the vast hall in the centre of the city; it had been converted into a military base when war had been declared. Mordain's forces from the White Realm would meet him there.

As he walked, Mordain thought of his conversation with the Loremaster. He had learned little, except that the Realmers were under the false belief that Weissland had destroyed one of their towns. A ridiculous claim, of course. Lathaon would need to be informed on what had happened.

As for now though, all Mordain could do was await the arrival pf the rest of his forces.

"It really is amazing; she killed Kelan Wealer, not that I am complaining, but then the order welcomed her as their new leader. It makes one wonder if I were to ram a blade down her throat, would the monks then follow my commands?" - Mordain Thaendil.

Shaellana stood with Mordain. She was his most trusted, and most dangerous, servant. She was the Head Seeker, a very powerful individual with deadly combat skills, unmatched stealth abilities, the power to see beyond what mortals see, along with good magical talents.

"My Lord, what will our course of action be? When your forces return, what do you wish?" asked the woman.

Mordain turned to her. "Ortin must be retaken from the Realmers. Without it, Lathaon and the rest of our forces are trapped their with little means of escape. When the Seekers return, officers will be put in charge of rallying an army with which to retake the city and its castle."

"Will we lead this attack, my Lord?"

"No, we have another matter with which to conern ourselves. Come."

Mordain walked through the city hall, Shaellana following. The pair rose up the clock tower and emerged to stand on a balcony, over-looking the city. Shaellana looked to Mordain with confusion; the mage smiled. He raised his staff and willed his magic to life. A purple flare of magic cracked into the sky, disperssing some of the clouds and unleashing a mighty flash. Still, Shaellana looked on in confusion. The pair stood in silence, waiting for something to happen. Then they heard it, slow at first, but growing louder, growing closer.

A mighty dragon, its scales as dark as the night itself and its eyes consumed with a purple glow, burst through the clouds, soaring low over the town, unleashing a mighty roar. After a few passes, it set itself down in the town square.

Shaellana looked to Mordain. "My Lord, what are you thinking?"

"You, Brae and Marr will accompany me." replied Mordain calmly.

"To where?"

"To the village of Raman."
"Stand against me if you must, for of course you will. Conflict is just another part of this flawed reality. You need to cling to your concepts and purposes, your feeble honour and glory. None of it serves any purpose in the end. And the end draws close." - Krodalis Thaendil.

A night and day had passed. Mordain's forces had returned from the White Realm and received thier orders directly from Mordain. Now, under the cover of the new night, Mordain, Shaellana, Brae and Marr prepared to leave.

"My Lord," said Marr, "we are ready to depart."

"Good." said Mordain. He waited until his three servants stood before him. "I do not know what we will find in Raman, but it is not to be discussed with anyone except me. If we find anything of interest, then I will alert Lathaon. After Raman, we will move to Port Village and reinforce that locations. Additional soldiers have already been dispatched, sixteen thousand men to bolster the fifteen thousand already stationed there. The White Realm will not defeat us there. Now, let us leave."

The servants nodded and then mounted the dragon after Mordain did so. With mighty beats, the dragon flapped its wings and then disappeared into the shroud of the night's sky.

((I have no idea how Ordail looks, someone wanna arrive here soon? Shall I just write it as a random harbour or is there something spectacular about it?))

((Its Weissland, everything is spectacular compared to the Realm. :P But since Lathaon and Mordain left the sea topic first, it makes sense for them to post in Ordail first.))

((Does that matter? I don't think it's been written anywhere, so if you want a number just make one up. At least it should be so many that not every single one of them may dock at the same time, so some should still stay out on the sea. Others may have arrived before you. ))

--Enters from The Sea--

Mordain walked from the command ship into the city of Ordail. Looking around, he could see soldiers everywhere. A number of ships had already arrived. The soldiers were forming into ranks and receiving instruction from their commanding officers.

Mordain turned and waited for Lathaon to leave the ship.

As Ariakas's feet touched the brick-clad streets of Ordail he was filled with a most inquisitive feeling. Finally back in Weissland, he thought grimly.

Mordain saw Ariakas walk from the ships and turned towards him.

"Welcome to Weissland, Loremaster." said Mordain, just as Shaellana, Brae and Marr came to stand beside him.

"Thank you" Ariakas said calmly, breathing in the air. He looked at Mordain, and his followers, then at the open sea again.

"Is it so different from the Realm you call home?"

"No," Ariakas shook his head. "It's most similar."

His left hand caressed the hilt of his sword, though it seemed like he did not sense the action himself.

--Entering from The Sea--

Nathaniel walked along the dock amongst the crowds of troops leaving the ship. He could see other formations of troops lining up, preparing to move out. This is what he had missed, the splendour and the grandeur of Weissland. This was his home and he was finally back.

Mordain turned to Shaellana, Brae and Marr. "If Drathmor has truly returned, then we will need all the aid we can get. Brae, gather the Seekers. Marr, call forth the Legion. And Shaellana, go to the mountains and bring those that dwell there before me. Tell them that their master has summoned them to battle."

The three nodded before moving away. Mordain shot a glance at Ariakas, wondering if the man had been listening. The Loremaster was an inquisitive one; he would surely have questions.

Ariakas looked at Lathaon who discussed matters with the habourmaster, and then back at Mordain again. He wished he had returned to Weissland in more pleasant times. How things had changed, he thought.

Nathaniel had walked further away from the ship. He stood watching, simply taking in the view and remembering memories of his life here in Weissland. He had travelled to Ordail a few times during his previous service as a mage, and he thought about different things, such as the smell of the sea air, the call of birds circling above and the comings and goings of the people of Ordail. Almost at once he wondered if he would have the chance to see Crint before going into battle.

As he looked around the harbour he saw some Seekers moving about. One spoke to him as he rushed about, informing Nathaniel that Mordain had ordered the Seekers gathered together. Nathaniel was about to head off towards where many of them were forming up when something caught his eye. He saw lord Mordain standing beside a man he did not know. While he would not truly know all the commanders of Weissland, this man was different. Nathaniel had noticed him on the ship, talking with lord Mordain and the Archmage, seemingly on an equal footing with them. Something did not seem right though, to Nathaniel's mind, the man did not seem to fit here. It was as if he belonged elsewhere. And Nathaniel had a strange feeling that there was something dangerous about him. Shivering slightly, he wrapped his cloak more closely about himself.

James strode off the ship, Darnil and Peloron flanking him on either side. He breathed in the salty air deeply and looked around. Despite having lived in Weissland for little over a month in the last twenty-four years, it still felt like home, and he felt much better with his feet on it once again. He knew, however, that his return was not a happy one; they were here to wage war. Any reunions would be soured by that fact.

Walking up to Mordain, James nodded and said, "What is our course of action?"

Mordain turned to James. "We must make for Ataya as soon as possible. The army here will have to be left to its own devices. Once assembled, it will travel to Ataya. However, we cannot afford to wait. You, myself and the Archmage will make for Ataya before the end of this day."

The shadow of a great eagle flashed by the harbour, drawing attention as it circled once and came to land not far from the congregated leaders. It screetched as it's Seeker rider dismounted.

Marr approached and addressed the messenger and gave clearance to approach the leaders with a nod.

The Seeker saluted curtly and glanced at the Archmage and Mordain.

"My lords, I bring news from Ataya and Lord Mordus. The Great Wall is heavily beset and cannot hope to hold much longer without severe casualties. Word has been sent out to mobilise the Weissland militia and the towns and villages in close proximity to Ataya and The Great Wall are being evacuated as we speak."

Glory is fleeting, but obscurity lasts for eternity.
