The land of Weissland is a powerful kingdom across the Sea of Strength from the White Realm. It is ruled by the Elven Lord Lathaon Thaendil. Here is a map of Weissland for reference; you have to drag it around to see the rest of it. Here are some points of interest: Ataya Ataya is the largest city in Weissland, and is located in the far southeast of Weissland. It is a powerful, stalwart fortress, commanding the landscape around it and helping to defend the Great Wall against the invaders from the Defiled Kingdom who constantly harass the Weisslanders. It is a bustling city and a center for knowledge and learning in the land due to the proximity of the Mystic Tower. The main barracks for the Weissland Army is located here, housing a sizeable force to help defend the Wall and the city against enemies. The Mystic Tower This tower, on the outskirts of Ataya, is where Lathaon conducts the business of running the country. It also has a massive library where innumerable tomes of knowledge are kept; these books are sometimes allowed to be taken out of the tower and used by scholars in the city. The Great Wall The Great Wall is not truly a wall, but rather a massively elongated fortress along the border of Weissland and the Defiled Kingdom. It was built to protect Weissland from invasions from the Defiled Kingdom and houses a huge amount of troops to do so. There is only one gate through the Wall, known simply as The Gate, and it is surrounded by massive towers. The Wall itself is made of indomitable stone, very difficult to break, and it is a good thing, for the weapons of the Defiled Kingdom are strong. The Wall serves as a home for the soldiers guarding it, with a miniature city erected within the walls of the Great Wall where the soldiers live and interact. Vilyn Wood Vilyn Wood is the home of the Wood Elves of Weissland. They seclude themselves within the trees and rarely make contact with other races. While the wood seems dark and imposing from without, once inside, one realizes that it is full of light and beauty. The main city in the forest is the tree-city of Rhaneild, on the shores of the Lake of Light, where much of the population of Vilyn Wood lives. Daulinen Nestled away in and underneath the Mountains of Daulinen is the home of the Dwarves. There are four Dwarven cities in the mountains, with the largest and most prosperous being Daurco, in the northwest. However, Duane is the military center of the region, and most Dwarven units in the Weissland Army come from Duane. Ordail Ordail is the greatest port of Weissland, and perhaps one of the greatest ports in the world. It is a bustling merchant city, with nearly all of the imports and exports for Weissland passing through this city. For a city of its size and importance, however, it is relatively lightly defended by the army, since any attack on it would come from the sea, where the powerful Weissland Navy would be able to stop any would-be invader. Lathor Lathor is the home of the High Elves, located on the eastern half of Draleth, the Shadow Isle. The population of the area is very small, with most of the population concentrated in the city of Anubien, the City of Light. It is a glorious, warm place, cooled by breezes from the Sea of Strength and winds from between the Howling Peaks. Rathor Rathor is the realm of the Dark Elves. Little is known about it aside from the fact that it is very sparsely populated. |

Should this be changed at all? Ataya is now mostly demonlished, and the Great Wall has big holes in it

"Stand against me if you must, for of course you will. Conflict is just another part of this flawed reality. You need to cling to your concepts and purposes, your feeble honour and glory. None of it serves any purpose in the end. And the end draws close." - Krodalis Thaendil. "It really is amazing; she killed Kelan Wealer, not that I am complaining, but then the order welcomed her as their new leader. It makes one wonder if I were to ram a blade down her throat, would the monks then follow my commands?" - Mordain Thaendil. One of the Last Guardians. Suck it. | |
