If you have any suggestions - please post here. James, Locky and myself are all willing to develop our ideas, so please post! |

I thought all the tests was over, that all work were finished. That was said before: Here is someone's explanation on how to do each battle (think it was Locky or James):
The Grid system was what ruined this. We should throw that away. Atleast the square-grid system. Get rid of the squares yes. Use some sort of co-ordinates instead maybe. But really… we don’t have two… And you says you, Sunny and James… where is Locky? |

Okay, that is a postive start. The Grid system is what tells the gamers where the models are, but we could replace it. |

Why not not a grid at all... just a map |

Perhaps, but co-ordinates may be too complicated. |

It's simple... Tell your opponent how far you moved, but also tell him (after you moved) how far your figure is from a landmark (ruin, tree, hill, table border... maybe another figure). That way it's easy to figure out where the model is. The best thing is that you can't get it wrong since it's only one solution to where you have placed your model, and that solution is the right one. |

Why not use a map, and like for every inch you move, press arrow keys like 3 times or whatever in other words nudge it, but use excel anyway so you can use the squares for terrain and select symbols separately. That would work! |

You save the file and send it to the other person. Then when they have done their turn and you have made saves etc. they save it and send it back. And so on. |

It wouldn't be that complicated. In a small game, it would hardly take any time to move the symbols about, because you could use 'group' on all of the models in a unit, and it doesn't exactly take long to ungroup and delete one dot or whatever then group remaining. It isn't hard.
Awesome! I'm a lieutenant now! Here's an example:

Yes, but you would require Excel to use it. |

But I think most people have Excel, even if it is not the most recent version. Why do you still argue with me? It would work! |

I agree on the grid system, but I think they should be squares |

I think it should be in excel, although to have a 112cmx112cm (48"x48") board on excel all in view the squares will need to be small which means the writing wont all fit in a box. So you could call all your troops by a code. eg: high elf captain would be HEC1 and if there was 2 captains there would also be a HEC2 and so on. Both players would have written in a word document : HEC1: Heavy armour, Elven Blade, followed by stats ect. They would have one for each warrior. But when you have 6 Highelf bowmen (HEB) it would be written on word as: HEB1-6: amour, elf bow, and stats. Then on excel one of the High Elf bowmen would be called HEB(1) and the next HEB(2) and so on. That just means you could make the boxes in excel smaller so you could see more of the battle with all the imortant info you need to no still visible in each cell. Orc: OW Orc Captain: OC ![]() Map: Light Green: Hills Dark Green: Trees |
