I would like to announce two things about LDTTW:

1.) I have now become one of the Development Team.
2.) James and myself yesterday, along with the nod from Locky, have devised a new system for LDTTW.

This image shows the new grid format we've devised. Each grid represents one inch, or 2.5cm.

The smallest dots represent foot warriors, Uruk-hai for example. The slightly larger ones represent Cavalry, like Riders of Rohan. And the largest represent large-based models, like Trolls or monstrous mounts.

James and myself will play-test this in a small scenario extremely soon.

HIC, I demand that you bludgeon yourself with a rock until your mental status returns to the level of a rapist who calls back to apologise! Your use of elaborate language and words is making me uneasy. Although, I am somewhat relieved to see that your punctuation remains shit-based.

Also - shouldn't the grid system be with squares?? I mean - it'd be more correct.

And can you have more than one "infantry dot" in one "square"!

And can't we have some names for the dots? Like -
Infantry
Cavalry
Trolls and Monstrous mounts
Mumakil

Ok I will do my best, the dots are infantry units, infantry units have a base size of 1 inch as we all know, one cell = 1 inch so 2 dots CANNOT be in 1 cell at a time. If 2 infantry units are in combat place them on the gridline in between the the cells which they stand (if you didnt understand that part I will just say and I will do an example). The bigger circle is a cavalry/cave troll base the biggest is a Mordor Troll/Fellbeast base. The dots and bases will be coloured suitably when you are in a battle, those colours on the example map are not mandatory.

Erm tell me if there is anything else you want to know I will be more than happy to answer.

Won't it be better if not necessary with square grids!

It wouldn't make a diffrence to gameplay, just the size of the board.

Ok ok - I guess it is up to the generals to decide which grid system they will use!

Anyways - I am looking forward to see further progress :)

I don't think Alex mentioned that the coloured grids represent terrain:

Dark green = tree
light green = hedge/bush
Dark grey = Impassable terrain
light grey = Rough terrain/wall
