HIC, I demand that you bludgeon yourself with a rock until your mental status returns to the level of a rapist who calls back to apologise! Your use of elaborate language and words is making me uneasy. Although, I am somewhat relieved to see that your punctuation remains shit-based.

"Should you ever feel agony for the loss of your Brothers due to enemy guns, bear through it with a stern smile and let your enemy know that you will get into combat soon enough. His judgement cannot be avoided!

Should your charge falter under heavy resistence, roar your devotion in His name and amount whatever strength you have left at one enemy point and crush it utterly! Let the enemy feel your pain by turning their's into agony!

Should you lay beaten and dying on the field, laugh with pride for even in death our enemies will fear us, leave them with a scar that will haunt them till the time of their retribution!" - Chaplain Valorus

I think so. I think the way it is written (No offence Andy), it is a little confusing.

I have to disagree. Aragorn came to the Black Gate with 6000 troops. He left a Gondorian Guard of 500 men in Minas Tirith. He left another 2000 archers and soldiers at the crossroads to ambush Sauron if the main host lost. He also left about 500 in Osgiliath. So, all in all, I think about 8000 survived Pellenor Fields. However, once counting the Guards of the Citadel and those men that never really participated, I would have to say about 8500.

And the answer to the most recent one is Quickbeem.

He left Minas Tirith with 7000. 4000 of those were brought by Angbor for the sole purpose of the attack. 7000-4000=3000 that marched to the Black Gate who were also at Pelennor. Yes, numbers dwindled off, but there is no way 8500 survived.

No...that's impossible...Rohan only came with 6000 horsemen...and there's no way Gondor had that kind of manpower in the city, otherwise they'd of have been able to hold it easily, with or without the Rohirrim. I'll quote ROTK for you.

Forlong the Fat came with 200 axemen to the aid of Minas Tirith.
Dervorin of Ringlo Vale came with 300 warriors on foot.
Duinhir of Morthond came with 500 bowmen.
Golasgil with many dusty peasants.
A few grim hillmen from Lamedon.
Sailors from Ethir, some hundred or more.
Hirluin of the Green Hills and 300 men.
Imrahil of Dol Amroth with 700 men and a battalion of knights.

"...that they should set forth the next day with seven thousands..."
"...all told 6000 and a thousand horse..."
"...some 3000 under the command of Elfhelm..." (referring to Rohirrim)
..." the host came to Osgiliath, and all the craftsmen and workers that could be spared were left there..."
"...Go! But keep what honor as you may...go back and strengthen the defenses at Cair Andros if it still be held by enemies...then retake it!"
"And so, since many men had already been left at the crossroads, it was less than six thousands that the Captains of the West came at last to challenge the Black Gate and the might of Mordor."

It is not said how many they left at the crossroads, only that they were many and comprised of primarily rangers and men who knew Ithilien well.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Actually, if you're referring to the men that actually participated in the Battle of Pellenor Fields, the number is unknown. 6000 Rohirrim for a fact...but then there were also the Knights of Dol Amroth and the many Gondorian Men At Arms who rushed out onto the fields after the gate was broken.

and don't forget that Anborn arrived AFTER the battle was finished,

and the question was how many survived not how many participiated

the answer to the next question is Quickbeam/Bregalad

I think you misunderstood me. Angbor brought his 4000 men AFTER the battle was over. Your estimate that 8500 men survived is more unlikely. Eomer said there were about 2000 able-bodied Rohirrim left, leaving about 1000 Gondorians who survived to round out the 7000 that left Minas Tirith.

In what year was Minas Tirith built, what was it built as, what was its original name and by whom was it built? (Looking for a specific name that last part)

It's a multiple part question...since 1 part is really easy...well, the q is really easy, Ariakas will get it in a sec, but I hope he gives some other guys time to get it first...as Ariakas is already winning. :)

3300 - Plus or minus 20 years - meaning 3280-3320 - I just don't remember the exact!
