Come on! Frodo ends up as a psyco!

I think any who carried the ring that far should been either very close or psycho :D

Merry wounds the WK (Better than ending up as a psyco, anyway.)

the rest of the hobbits never got the chance did they? , and the witch king was not really in comat with nor aware of Merry was he?

Frodo wouldn't of destroyed the ring if Gollum wouldn't of put it on!

after all he did not destroyed the ring.. Gollum did with an accident.. pure luck it was

HIC, I demand that you bludgeon yourself with a rock until your mental status returns to the level of a rapist who calls back to apologise! Your use of elaborate language and words is making me uneasy. Although, I am somewhat relieved to see that your punctuation remains shit-based.

Like - Gollum and almost Bilbo, AleH - so Ariakas is right.

And I think that Pippin was just as brave as Merry.

He carried it for a MUCH lesser time than Frodo, Bilbo, Gollum and even Isildur!

arent all hobbits really resiliant to the ring???...like in the beggining wen bilbo had it....nothing was wrong at all....wen frodo had it he even hid it for like 9 years!!!

Sam had it for less than a day....easy to not become a "phyco"(sp)

Of the descendants of Bullroarer Took, they should be strong and adventurous as no hobbit is. Do not forget, Bullroarer Took invented Golf! :D

I voted Boromir. He's not the most powerful of the fellowship but he is one of the strongest, bested perhaps only by Gimli. He's also the greatest captain of Gondor to exist since Boromir I and although the ring did temporarily take him, he withstood it better than any normal man could have, do not forget the time segments. It took months, about half a year to get to Amon Hen...imagine withstanding the ring that long. Boromir was weaker willed than the rest of the party, but in battle, his will is unmatched. Do not forget, he faced the nine while his companies fled and only faramir stood at his side in Osgiliath...that takes guts...

I thought there was another, with Boromir and Faramir when they faced the nine,(a Gondorian captain prehapes?). But then again, there's probably different variations, to it. Then they swam across the Aunduin.
