I don't think the Lord of the Rings is even remotely scary. I think the scariest part is when you see the King of the Dead, and that's not scary. I've got a 5 year old cousin who went to see it and he didn't find it scary. I was 8 when I saw The Fellowship of the Ring, and I didn't find it scary at all. |

I think it's sad that people don't get affected by terror and frightening stuff in movies anymore... show what the entertainment has turned us into |

lol - not that I want to be a chicken, but when I first saw Fellowship of the ring (11 years) I got scared by Galdriel.
Lol - you know - where she becomes the Queen of Darkness - lol - pretty embarrassing, but whatever.....I agree with you Ariakas. I believe it's ranked 11+ too... |

yeah, it's ranked 11... but do you have any idea how many parents let their kids see scary movies?.... especially action movies since kids these day really wanna see action.. not only is it bad doing that but it also destroy the cinema experience for the rest of us... both times when I saw ROTK and SW Episode III kids there was a lot of five years old kids around... iritating |

Quite true. When I saw Revenge of the Sith - some kids shouted all the time: "Luke, I am you father!" and giggled!! It sucks!!! My parents didn't let my brother see LotR movies even though he wanted to. He is 4 and well - my dad said that at least the Nazgul and Shelob would have REAL bad influence on his sleeping, aka nightmares. |

When I first saw FotR in the cinema it made me jump when Bilbo tried to grab the ring at Rivendell. "ITS MINE!!!" That caught me by suprise. |

Yeah- but SW is rated 12A in England, meaning that kids under 12 can go with a parent. |

...got mine as well."Can I hold it, just one last time?" Frodo puts ring away. "GAGGGHHHH!" Some critics were trying to put lotr in a horror film category...but they, obviously, suffered from a mental illness known as stupidity.
