Smackdown is moving back to Friday nights because I can no longer stay up late on Thursdays due to teaching 3 classes Friday morning! It also suits the new co-GM's schedule better.

Show Date: September 9, 2016
City: Atlanta, GA
Venue: Philips Arena

Match 1:
Bray Wyatt vs. Goldberg

Goldbergs and Apollo Crews nearly broke the Internet with their stare-down at the end of the #1 Contendership match at Summerslam. The man from Stone Mountain may have emerged victorious, but Goldberg proved he's here to do two things--make money and win titles. It will truly be a battle of brains vs. brawn to start Smackdown off this week.

Match 2:
Kelly Kelly vs. Eve Torres vs. Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch's tenure as Diva's Champion was brought to an end due to the cheating tactics of Buggy Nova at SummerSlam, can she prove that she deserves a rematch by seeing off the likes of Eve and Kelly in this triple threat match up?

Match 3:
Zack Ryder vs. Grado

Expect this match to contain a lot of shouting, hundreds of catch phrases and hopefully there'll be some actual wrestling sprinkled in there as well.

Match 4:
Emma vs. Mystery Opponent

Emma made her return at SummerSlam with some poetry that surely had Samuel Shaw in proud tears ... but tonight she's facing a mystery opponent in her return match, whoever could it be?

Posted Image

Match 5:
Bobby Roode vs. Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens is jealous of Bobby Roode's entrance theme. #Glorious

Match 6:
Travis Kooper & The Miz vs. Daniel Riley & Rob Van Dam vs. Jimmy Jacobs & Alex Blade

At Summerslam, The Miz offered his services to Travis Kooper--no, not like that, you sicko. How will they fare when they team up tonight? Daniel Riley and Rob Van Dam, meanwhile, are two babyfaces seeking to make their way back up the ranks. A victory tonight would go a long way towards that. Jimmy Jacobs and Alex Blade? Well...they're both just weird dudes.

Match 7:
Sasha Banks, Buggy Nova & Eva Marie vs. Trista, Mickie James & Natalya

Diva's Champion Buggy Nova makes her heel debut on the Smackdown screens as she takes on the team of Trista, Mickie James and the debuting Natalya. But will she be able to coexist with professional pain in the ass Sasha Banks? And is Eva Marie even cleared to compete after her injury at SummerSlam?

Match 8:
Samuel Shaw vs. Kazuchika Okada

With Abyss dispatched, Samuel Shaw now has his eyes set on becoming the longest reigning Hardcore Champion of all time. That can wait, though. This week he goes head to head with Kazuchika Okada. How will the Japanese sensation fare coming off his loss at Summerslam to Matt Hardy?

MAIN EVENT:
Briley Pierce & Dolph Ziggler vs. Ciaran O'Donnell & Christian Cage

Special guest commentary by Apollo Crews

Atlanta will not get the pleasure of watching the Georgia-bred #1 contender compete tonight, but he will be on commentary to watch this contest between his fellow Horsemen and the team of Ciaran O'Donnell and Christian Cage. With bad blood brewing all around, will Taylor Swift show up?

ALSO ON SMACKDOWN:
- NEW CHAMPIONS, with the World Heavyweight, Diva's AND United States titles changing hands at SummerSlam there's surely going to be a LOT of fallout on Friday night.
- With the departure of Shane McMahon, Mick Foley has FINALLY gained sole control of Smackdown ... but are things going to go smoothly for the Smackdown GM on his first night in charge?

ROLEPLAY DEADLINE THURSDAY – 7pm Eastern Time/Midnight UK & Ireland

PLEASE SEND ALL SEGMENTS TO MICK FOLEY
