couldnt find a tank that would fit in my bookcase, so i built one! this is the tank that i built for my mice ![]() (apple in their food, they love a slice of apple. they play tug of war with it) it has sliding glass doors so i can get them out easily and a raised part at the bottom so that they can bury their woodchips about and it wont fall out when i open the doors, i built it from acrylic sheets which i had cut to size and then glued with this cheap glue you get in b and q for plastics, it was like 2 quid. bargain! best bit was it didnt smell at all and glued everything so strongly. i did a test bit just a right angle and i had trouble breaking it, and that was only with one join! it fits in perfectly, which is good cuz otherwise i wouldve had to move all my dvds and that wouldve been pony. so listen to this as if that isnt good enough, i also fitted a bike speedometer to their wheel. it is wireless and i am currently building an attchment for the roof to permanently hold the tracker on. it is activated by a tiny magnet on the wheel. too big for the mice to eat, and also taped down firmly, i watched them and they never pay it any mind. they like to run at about 7mph. sometimes 20 though, if they go nutz! |
