Lain's head whipped in Kelly's direction, eyes narrowing.

"You and I will be having words later." She said sternly through telepathy, her mind was locked shortly after; she had no interest in Kelly's reply or any justification she could offer. There would be none and her words conveyed this with a sharp tinged of unsaid warning. She knew the girl hadn't volunteered for the position-neither had she, but a jedi's job was to protect and if she still needed a lesson in respect, then perhaps she either needed to be reeducated with a firmer hand of be let go.

"Well...I will be talking. You're just going to listen. No tantrums, child That ends now." She added, standing at Killian's side like a sentient pet.

Sloan gulped, the impending confrontation imminent. She could feel a searing anxiety she had come to recognize as a warning from her master; despite the fact it wasn't aimed at her. Eyes as wide as saucers, she kept her wits intact, watching the soldier's interactions and sticking close in with their rank. Being reunited in such a way was not only unforeseen but risky, they had obviously been monitored before and now that they were in all accounts...trapped in the train they could be being watched even more closely.

"It was a mind attack." she broke in after Roy.

"Through the force which means we're dealing with a user..."

"Very Astute, pretty thing." Lain nodded,

"Commonsenseical." She revised mechanically without a hint of humor.

"It would appear we may be at...a disadvantage."

Rick listened in on what Sloan mentioned, it made sense now. They all saw the attack he and his team did, and all felt the pain. He did not like it. He went to one of the seats, sitting down with his shotgun at his legs, sighing some.

"You alright?" Killian asked.

"Yeah. I'm fine, don't worry." Rick assured.

As some time passed, the tram arrived at Level 2 and the doors slid open. Killian looked towards Sloan, then to Roy and gave them both nods. He preped his rifle and led the groups off of the tram. However, once they were off they were soon greeted by a sound system inside the boarding station. A small monitor in the corner flickered, and eventualy a familier green V shaped logo appeared. A voice that sounded like a deep, but clear reptilian voice emitted.

"Good, I was expecting you. I await you, further inside. However, I must first see if you worthy. Before you is the main entrance to Level Four, and it's locked down tight. I doubt any explosives or Jedi's lightsabers will dent it down. There are three security stations that have a setting to lift the lockdown. Find them, lift it, and proceed to level four. I will be watching you, listening to you, and feeling your presence. Good hunting."

Killian frowned at the conversation, knowing that they played right into this person's hands. He knew whatever was behind the locked down door was not friendly, and they needed to be ready. However, it was their only way through if they wanted to see this mission through. He sighed, turning towards the others as he decided to speak up on what they first witnessed. As he spoke, he went and downloaded the layout of the whole area to his data pad, which in turn would be sent to his fellows.

"Alright, who ever this is knows where we are going, and if you two Jedi are right, then possibly what we may be thinking. I don't like any of this, but the mission needs to stay on track. This is no longer a rescue and recover mission, it's also a hunt. We're going to find this person and bring him in, or bring him down if he won't come peacefuly. For now, the teams stay as they are and if we want to get to him, then we'll need to lift this lockdown."

He then turned towards Roy, Rick, Beth and Kelly.

"Roy, take your team and check out Level Two. If anyone, anything shows hostile intent, then shoot to kill. See what you can find, any survivors you send back here, but the main priority is the Security Station there."

He then turned towards Team Three.

"Cedric, you and your team hold down here. Secure this area and make sure our ride here goes nowhere."

Then he turned towards Sloan, Lain and Katarn.

"You three, we're all going to Level Three. Same orders as Team Two; I don't want anyone taking a shot at us in the back. Survivors get sent here and we look out for the Security Station there. If anyone here has any questions, then you better ask now."

Kelly looked over at lain keeping her anger in check, but she was getting tired of the Jedi Master's superior attitude she could excuse the military's attitudes since there used to soldiers following orders, but lain wasn't her master and Kelly sure as hell wasn't her padawan.

as they approached the station she picked up her blaster rifle and stepped off of the tram after the tram came to a stop and the doors opened up. she stayed silent as Killian gave the orders, she didn't like that they were being watched and following the dark presences instructions. Every fiber told her it was a trap, she wanted to split from her group it would be easier to go un-noticed on her own. but she had to stick with her group no matter how much she didn't want to, and she reluctantly joined her group. waiting for Roy to lead the way.

--------------------

Katarn locked the trams controls to only be accessible by the trams control instead from terminals outside the tram, he joined up with his team, and was happy he wasn't going with the group going to the research area, of level two. "thank the gods I'm not going with them" he said under his breath.

Nodding in reply to Killians order, Roy stepped off the tram and took a few moments to look over one of the directories that were set up outside the tram for its dispatching passengers. Silently he reviewed and partially memorized the layout that was provide for the floor he would be searching, making sure to take into account any kind of choke point or dead end him and his squad might come across.

To top it all off, Roy used his helmets internal camera to take a quick snapshot of the directory for future reference should it be required. Once that task was completed, Roy turned to the others that made up his squad. With a gesture to the directory before him he spoke.

" Looks like we got the short end of the stick on this one... Bio labs.... Chemical testing... Got a heap of trouble headed our way if we don't keep our heads on a' swivel... "

Pausing for a moment and turning his head towards Killian.

" Ill send you a click over comms when we've got the security station on our end up and running. "

With a gesture towards the hallway that would lead them to their destination, Roy addressed his squad again briefly before they embarked.

" Lets keep things.... civil... Shall we? If we work together we have a much higher chance to get out of here in one piece. With that said... Shall we? "

With his last question Roy started off down the hallway towards level two intent on achieving his objective and coming back with his squad intact.

Sloan looked in the voice's direction as if it's owner stood before her, her eyes narrowed and her jaw tightened, hand on her saber hilt.

Lain remained calm- on the surface anyway- it had been a long time since she had dealt with the dark side. She felt no fear but a rising contempt in her stomach that let off an involuntary scent from her skin. Her pupils focused, thinning to a snakelike slit.

As Sloan opened her mouth to protest she was met with a firm touch on her shoulder. She had spent enough time with the soldiers and was lucky enough to be permitted it as it was- there would be no pushing for more. She simply looked on as her former team departed.

"She's a liability." Sloan said, of Kelly.

"What if something happens-"

Lain cut her off in a wary tone.

"Then it shall happen regardless of if you're there or not."

"This is an obvious trap." Rick spoke up suddenly.

"That's why I hired you, Rick. You get results." Killian assured. Rick only nodded and checked his pistols once more. He couldn't let others see him now, the feeling he had of dread and that they were being observed like someone would watch ants in an ant farm.

"John, good luck." Beth said.

"You too, all of you. We'll also inform you once we got out side unlocked. We'll all meet back here once our sector is clear and the security terminals are unlocked." Killian replied.

With their orders clear, Killian gave off a nod to Roy as he led his team to Sector Two as Rick and Beth went with Roy and Kelly to Sector Two. As the two teams split, Cedric sent his two soldiers towards the security station near the boarding ramp to secure it. It was a simple process of entering, going over the controls there before finding the switch that unlocked the main entrance to Level Four. One down, only two remained, and Xentar was monitoring their progress.

SECTOR TWO
Rick and Beth went with Roy and Kelly before the entrance to the security station was there before the labs. When Beth went to open the door, a beeping indicated that it was locked sounded. She looked around and saw a control panel that would unlock it. It took her only a moment to see what was required and turned to Roy.

"We'll need either a code or pass card to get in. One of us could... try to hack it, but it may take too long."

Rick looked towards the heavy door before them. It would take a large weapon or explosive to even damage it. He knew Kelly's lightsaber may cut it down, but it could possibly take too long or there was a chance any damage to the door could trigger a large lockdown like it did when they first arrived. Before they could decide, a vent above them a small distance away suddenly clang to the ground. Those with a keen eye could see a small glimpse of something suddenly crawling back into the vent, as if it was crawling inside and tripped on the vent. Rick was one of the first to aim both his pistols at the vent, catching sight of something, almost like it was some sort of... big crab leg. The sounds of something clattering above them was heard, and soon it dissapeared.

SECTOR THREE
It would soon become obvious to those who could feel life around them with the Force that there was several enteties around them. Rick could only feel a small dread of them being surrounded, but skilled Jedi would feel something more. They were surrounded by a hidden enemy, and they lurked above them, below them, and around them. Killian only knew they were being watched as he led his team into Sector Three, and he eyed everywhere. When they got to a hall with doors and the Security terminal only some twenty feet away, he knew they were no longer alone. A loud scraping sound came from within the walls, as if someone took a blade and was scraping a metal wall with it. After several seconds, it abruptly stopped.

"I don't like this... We aren't alone in this place, are we, Master Jedi?" Killian asked, slowly approaching the security door only to find it too was pass code/pass card locked like the other was.

Kelly turned and looked at the Clanking noise with the others sensing something amiss her weapon raised, then lowered it, as she slung the rifle onto her back, and drew a saber and a Slicers terminal from her coat. still not saying anything considering she was ordered not to talk, and held it up for her leaders decision, and her silence was the only thing keeping her from exploding on there commanding officer with words unbecoming of a Jedi. The clank gave her something to look forward to for clearing her anger, but she was able to finally sense that something was around them and it felt dark. yet familiar like the prescience in the cave of Ilum.

still not saying anything she mouthed the words 'Dark side' followed by a small smile she could finally tell why she was so agitated her Master warned her that her pent up anger towards her family, and the order made her more susceptible to the Darks sides influence but she never truly got what she meant until now.

---------------

Katarn had his weapon ready following the team from behind covering there six the scraping sound made him really nervous, he took out a motion tracker the noise of it activating and the periodic clicks (think the Aliens Motion tracker) it made alleviated some of his fear since nothing could sneak up on them now he hoped, it was times like these he wished he had a standard issue helmet its night vision would be nice as well.

Roy averted his gaze and weapons sights towards the cause of the metallic clank the group had heard as well, letting his blaster rifles bottom mounted flash light illuminate the vent and the grate that had fallen to the floor below it. Though he had caught a glimpse of whatever had caused the disturbance, a part of him refused to believe what he knew his eyes had seen.

Shaking his head in an attempt to clear his eyes, Roy returned his rifles light, and his focus, to the task at hand. Seeing that Kelly was trying to convey two different paths they could take, Roy shook his head no to both. They had all seen what forcefully entering places in the facility did, and slicing was bound to have the same effect if it failed.

Though he hated the thought of it, Roy knew he and his squad would have to search their side of the facility for the security access card.

" Put it away Cross. "

Roy stated, his voice just above a whisper.

" I don't want a repeat of what happened in the main lab. That means no cutting through walls, and no hacking through terminals unless you're absolutely sure you won't fail. As for the rest of you, keep your whits about you and stay in a tight formation. We know they can move through the vent system now, which means whatever the hell is up there can spring out from practically anywhere.... We'd better get moving... Kelly. Take point. "

With his last order Roy motioned for the group to start heading deeper into level two.

Lain kept her light saber sheathed for morale but held it tight in a clenched hand discreetly hidden in her robe.

Her eyes were to the dark ahead and she ventured slightly further then the rest of the group while Sloan took her Que to bring up the rear, saber more obviously ready to light, in her clenched fist.

"No Captain," Said the falleen with a flick of her tongue lasting more then it should have- her mouth stayed open as her focus was visibly elsewhere; she looked like a woman having a conversation while being lost in a book... a particularly entertaining one as her lips curved in a slight smile.

Sloan was her mirror opposite, concerned and undeniably nervous with her gaze scanning the room like radar.

"We most certainly are not..."

The door that led to the three lab areas remained closed. However, a loud clang was heard on the otherside of it, and then some metal sounds. After a moment of small silence as Rick and Beth aimed their guns at the door, a loud beating was heard against the otherside of the door. Soon, what appeared to be two long blades slammed through the center of the door where they opened. Through sheer force, it was forced open and an abomination of sort stood before the soldiers and Jedi.

It contained a human head and torso, but was grafted to three metal crablike feet and had two blades for arms. The eyes on the creature were bright red and as it set it's gaze onto them, it opened it's mouth and released a screech before scurring towards them. It was obviously not alone, however as the sounds of more clattering was heard further into the labs, and some were even around them, in the vents and inside the ceiling.

Rick wasted no time and was the first to fire his shotgun at them, followed by Beth as the creature proceeded towards them, staggering once.

SECTOR THREE
More sounds came from around them as it showed on the scanner that the heat signatures on Katarn's radar were not as big as it seemed. Above them, two of the ventilation covers dropped to the ground, followed by a few objects as well. Killian looked on at one of the objects, not sure what it was. When it first moved, it took only a moment for him to realize what he was looking at. It was a severed head, along with the spinal cord still attached. However, little mecahnical legs were along the spinal cord with a sharp barb at the end of the spine. It looked to the four and released a screech before one of the doors bursted down that led into the storage room.

Another sentient of sort walked out on two legs, covered in light metal and had the head, torso and left arm of a human. In it's organic hand, it held a blaster rifle that appeared grafted into the arm and hand as it went to aim at the two Jedi and fired several energy bolts.

Kelly put the two devices away and was about to take point, as the door that lead into the labs was forced open by an abomination and was shot by Rick it stumbled ounce and then continued to charge. Kelly used a force push to send it flying back into the hall it.

two smaller techno beasts dropped down and went to attack the group as Kelly spun around and batted one that leapt at her away with the blaster rifle, the other then charged forward at her she drew one of her sabers and ignited it cutting it in half. "Frak this I'll chance it!... Cover me she yelled," starting to cut into security room door.

---------------

Katarn looked at the motion tracker as more and more blips began to appear on the screen and then saw the one drop down and open fire and instinctively he returned fire, hoping the Jedi wouldn't just die from a few bolts launched at them. "Game over man Game over," he started to say as more and more started to appear in the hall and all around them on the tracker.

(( Uhh... Nick... I think you forgot to finish a sentence there... And are you allowed to control Mullun's NPC's?))

Bringing his rifle to bare on the main creature that made itself known to the group, Roy let loose a volley of blaster fire. It was a short controlled burst, aimed at the beasts lower torso and legs in an attempt to slow it down as much as possible so that the rest of his squad could take it down.

Hearing the igniting of a lightsaber behind him, Roy turned his head slightly to see Kelly plunging her saber into the door of the security control room through his peripheral vision.

Firing another burst down the hallway and into the darkness beyond, Roy turned his upper torso over to the insubordinate Jedi and fired a round only inches past her head. The searing hot bolt of plasma sailed right past Kelly's head and smacked into the wall beside the door, and over the din of combat Roy spoke.

" God dammit Kelly! Get your saber out of that damn door and aid your damn allies! if you disobey a direct order again Ill shoot you for insubordination myself! "

With that said, Roy activated his comm. unit in his helmet and hailed Killian. The message would be audible only to Roy, considering the loud noises and the enclosed environment that was Roy's helmet.

" We've met heavy resistance- some kind of experimentation. The Jedi's proving to be more trouble than shes worth. "

Through the comm. message, Killian would be able to hear the shouts, gunfire, and overall commotion going on in the backround.

Lain squinted at the dropped object, her advanced senses prevented her from jumping in surprise as her padawan did; but as it began to move she leaned back with a clear expression of surprise.

"Oh..." She said, her lips forming the syllable.

It screeched.

"Now how do you suppose it did that"?" She said, looking over her shoulder to Sloan who was illuminated by the pale blue light of her ignited saber.

The Rattataki paled- more so then usual as the next creature appeared, visible behind her master's turned head.

"No vocal chords I thi-"

The Falleen ducked in the blink of an eye as a bolt sailed over her head, leaving Sloan to hastily bat it away. The fire that followed was a true test of her coordination.

With a flip of her wrist she brought her own to light, sweeping it across the floor as she raced towards the larger creature. Before the distance between them closed she rose to her full height at its left and raised her arm to slice its weaponized limb off.

The creature with crab legs staggered until one of it's legs gave out and no longer functioned. It screeched as Roy and Rick fired into it until it hit right int he chest where it soon released a dying screech before slumping down. When they had the moment to reload and Roy sent the message after scolding Kelly, Beth turned to her superior.

"Sir!" She started over the comotion. "I think one of the alarms would have went off by now. I don't think a lockdown is triggered." She finished, reloading her SMG.

"It could just be linked to who ever is running this show." Before Rick could say anymore, the sounds got louder as a few more of the smaller abominations dropped from the ceiling. They resembled the head and spinal cord creature that the other team was encountering. When one closed in on Rick, he delivered a powerful kick to it's face, sending it flying back as he fired the shotgun at it. He witnessed it falling back and to the feet of two more abominations. However, these ones were in armor and had rifles grafted to one of their arms. THey aimed their guns at the soldiers and fired as Rick and Beth dove for what little cover there was as they fired at the group.

"How much longer?!" Beth yelled over the gunfire to Kelly.

SECTOR THREE
Killian was firing his rifle at the creatures, not sure what they were as Lain went to deal with the one that fired at them. The Creature fired several more at Lain before it felt it's arm was severed with it's weapon and it moaned in pain before using it's other arm to strike at Lain. It seemed to feel pain, but did not react to it like a normal person would.

As Katarn started to freak out, Killian turned around and grabbed him by the collar, pulling him in when they had a moment. "Pull yourself together, Corporal! We will not fall here!" He said, releasing his grip on him as he recieved a call from Roy and heard they were having the same problems they were.

"Copy that, we are having the same over on this end. Push hard, objecitves remain the same. If they start to overwealm you, then fall back to boarding station. If you need backup, call for one of ours at the boarding station." He said, firing once into another creature that dropped from the vent, not being able to shoot the larger one as Lain was in the way. "If you get the chance, tell Corporal Reed to examine one of these things if you get a chance to breath."

Kelly's eyes narrowed as Roy fired at her she was getting sick of this trooper really fast, though she assumed the feeling was mutual by now but she ignored the shot and the second order to re-get into line and help fighting, if he tried to kill her she had every right to strike him down in self defense. she was half way through the door when the first lul in combat happened then several more dropped down and sensed several more bigger ones coming from the hall way, and then heard Beth ask how much longer. "Almost...."a loud thud was heard as the metal fell into the security room. "Got it!" she yelled over the gun fire. "Give me a minute to lock the science labs and vents down then I'll get on un-locking.... Gah!" she yelled as several came jumping out of the darkness of the security room she got one but the other knocked her back out of the security room with its arm sending her into the adjacent wall. as she got back to her feet the wind knocked out of her as she saber threw at the one in the security room improvised opening cutting it in half. as she charged back into the room that was hopefully now clear as she got to work on sealing the lab area access and air ducks from that area, she at least got the vent doors closed easily enough though the main lab lock downs were being tricky. 'that at least stopped the smaller buggers' she thought.

--------------------

Katarn started to get a hold of himself after Killian confronted him. "Sorry sir...it won't happen again." he said sucking his fear up as best as he could as he got back to his feet if you'll alow "sir I'm going to blow the security room door." he suggested as he returned fire on the three more creatures coming at them.
