Lohman scrambled to his feet, "let's go then" He said obviously winded as he began to saunter in the scanner's suggested course. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Shev'la was brought to her knees with a swift strike against their backside. The Tuskens wanted blood and answers and she wasn't sure which need would outweigh the other. Wrenched from the crevice by their dirty, bandaged hands she was brought to trial on the spot, the remaining mastiff by its master's side, still struggling to tear her apart from its leash. Their leader gestured viciously at her throat with her own gaffi stick and she resisted attempting to reclaim it. All around her were foreign grunts and concealed faces. She brought up one hand to show she harbored no intent to resist and he struck it down instantly a small splash or crimson spraying the ground as her gloved palm was torn. She held it to her chest in pain and waited while his word's volume increased and quickened. The surrounding jury was becoming a rambling mob.\ Muffled words began to form in her mouth- ones that hadn't been voiced in many years, ones she had nearly forgotten. The leader was not satisfied, turning to his clan with a whoop- perhaps looking for approval to slay the murderer. She slowly brought her hands to her helmet's side and popped the seal, nervous ragged breath audible and distinctly feminine. The leader drew back the Gaffi, ready to swing... ...and she removed the helm to reveal herself. He stopped mid strike, blunt weapon mere inches from her face. The mob quieted. |

Valek kept in the same running speed with the two mandalorians, gripping his magnum with both hands to ultilize top accuracy with it. As they moved in closer, he sensed more life forms ahead and knew it had to be the tribals. "Current objectives?" He asked to Lohman, though he felt that if they ran into the merciless tribes that there would be little to no peace. |

"We find Shev'la," Lohman said. "Something here is interfering with the electronics and we need -" He slowed his pace and brought up his hand to block the sun from his visored eyes. In the distance, just towards the mouth of the valley below he spotted a downed speeder bike. His heart pounded in his ears as he made his way to it. He knew his personal feelings were interfering with the task at hand but he placed his wife before the job. He knelt beside the bike then looked up again, this time spying a bloodied stain on the crest, its stark red contrast on the sand making it stick out. "Shit..." Slowly he crept to it and touched it with a tentative gloved hand. Standing again he peered into the valley below- the crash site...and a Tusken camp intermingled. There was no sign of the natives outside their homes but the scattered metal crates were a telltale sign the cargo had been tampered with already. |

"this could be a problem he said laying on his stomach looking out into the camp and noticing the crates, and taking in account the blood stain, as well. "no movement down in the camp could be a trap? we did make a big sound crashing back there and without instruments this could be a lot tougher." he said looking over to Lohman "Think your wife is down there?" |

Valek reached over his back, pulling out his assault rifle as he pocketed the magnum. He then looked down the scope of his rifle to see a better view of down below before the electronical parts in his helmet started to get staticaly. He tapped his helmet slightly to fix it, but it never fixed. "Hrm..." He focused down on the camp below, then just held his rifle in his grip. "Have a feeling we'll be going down there regardless. Might as well be now." |

Lohman rose slightly to begin his descent into the camp. "Its my best bet...at least we know where one thing we're looking for is." He crept like a theif before finding his footing in the sandy rock side and moved on with slow discretion. As he closed in on the settlement he drew a blaster, unsure of what awaited them. Suddenly his hud began to react to a hazard in the area-at dangerous levels as well! There appeared to be a heavy toxin in the air, the likes of which his hud couldn't recognize. Whatever toxin was in the air and would pass through would be fintered through Valek's helmet. His magnum still drawn, he could feel something was in the air, or it was just his senses kicking in that there was danger in the area. He turned to Lohman, tilting his head towards him some. "What's wrong?" |

Hibirar stayed put watching as the two headed for the camp. "I'll stay on look out you need some sort of warning if it is an ambush." he said to them before they were out of ear shot. Again lifting the range finders watched the two before going over the camp again slowly looking for any sign of movement. It was really odd to him that the Tuskans would just leave there spoils alone and not spring a trap for intruders that were well in there camp. Hibirar tried to use his radio but it was powerless due to the em field. he figured he would just wait for the two to return. |
