Hibirar was still asleep in a corner near the bed of the guest room he was allowed to use he hadn't changed out of his armor his helmet sitting next to him. he was out like a rock, till he barely heard Lohman yell from the other room he arose groggily he wondered into the Kitchen "whats going on?" he asked still seeming half asleep.

Lohman turned to his guest, mouth tightly closed and brows furrowed, his embarrassment was palpable and for a minute he had reverted back into the weak, emotional boy he had been so many years before.

"I can't find Shev'la" He exhaled and calmed, putting on a facade of normalcy

"We'll have to meet her at the site...We're running late."

He glanced back down at his communicator and discreetly spotted a new message.

“Tuskens.Lots of them. Bike c-” It said.

He swallowed, face going white.

"Possibly went ahead. We should go now then, already got my gear together."

Valek said, now knowing who was missing as he turned to the direction he sensed Hibirar, spotting him. He looked like he just woke up. Hopefully he would be full awake. He only cracked his neck a little before looking to Lohman.

"On foot, or do you have a mode of transportation?"

"We'll take my cruiser," Lohman said eagerly making his way to the garage.

He opened the door and held it so they could see the vehicle, heavily modified and dust coated with a large turret attached sloppily to the back in front of the one-man rear seating. It was without a doubt illegal.

"She ain't pretty but she gets the job done..."

"So long as it's capable."

Valek said, telling from the look of things that Lohman was anxious to go. The legal status of the cruiser was no concern to Valek, giving the fact he has delt in illegal weapons and munitions before, even constructing some before.

"I'll take gunner, unless you prefer that posistion."

"I'll Drive." Said Lohman,Pulling his helmet over a thick mat of dark hair. He jogged to the Vessal's side and shouted to Hibirar as he hopped in.

"Looks like your riding passenger, Whiz kid!"

"Whiz kid?" Hibirar questioned hoping in fully awake now, after hearing that the other person responsible for saving his life had gone missing.

Not paying much attention to Hibirar, Valek moved forward, and climbed into the gunner seat. Once he was secure, he adjusted his helmet's settings with the turret so his targeting would be sharper. He checked over the weapon once to see it was operational and ready to fire as he patted the metal next to him to signal he was ready.

The cruiser shot to life across the desert trailed by a nimbus of dust in its wake as Lohman struggled to view the landscape while only paying minimal attention to his HUD display for Shev'la's non existent tracking position.

Either her communicator had been destroyed or he'd have a lot more to find out.

----------------------------------------

Shev'la felt a clarity she could only assume had meant she'd awakened. She didn't recall shutting her eyes once and felt all the effects of a night spent wedged in a crevice in the desert rock wall, but if the dead mastiff jammed in the entrance up to its torso was any indication, she hadn't been out long. With a hard kick of her boot to it's skull she attempted to dislodge it but thought better as it's snarling companion came into view from the other side, still stalking back and fourth beyond it's fallen brother's body.

She again kicked the dead beast's drooling mouth to distance it. The place was too cramped to be filled with the smell of death and her body was sore from being stuck in the awkward sitting position for so long. Using her gaffi stick (which was much too long to do anything but prod outside with) she jabbed at the Final Mastiff, met with a twin weapon blocking it with metallic "clack!"

She was cornered, worse then she'd previously dared to think. Despair fell over her parched heart...

-----------------------------------

"closing in on our location." Lohman announced, the Cargo's last coordinates were less then a mile before the cruisers engines hummed into complete failure and the display in his helmet died out.

"What!" He pulled at the controls, hiding the panic growing in his chest.

"We got a problem!"

"Good hopefully...." Hibirar was cut off as the engines cut died and Lohman saying they had problems. 'well this is familiar Hibirar thought as he un-harnessed himself."I think we should bail before this thing hits the ground and hard I might add." he said as he waited for the ground to get a little closer before jumping out and hitting the sand with a skid and a roll using his arms to shield his head, and neck. He hoped the others made it out of the speeder before it crashed.

Valek had been silent the whole time, keeping on edge as he looked through his helmet and down the turret's sights. When he heard the sounds of the engine dying and the slow plummit of the vehicle, he knew they were a sitting duck. He knew they may be able to repair this if it was not too damaged, and leaped out of the vehicle, sliding down the side before landing gently in the sand below. He was a small distance away from Hibirar and hoped that he would not notice how he gently padded his landing with a small buffer of the Force.

Lohman landed roughly, his arms shielding his head instinctively.

"Dammit!" he coughed, the speakers of his helmet crackling.

The speeder died in the distance, skidding to a stop on its belly and making a mess of the wind.

"Everyone alright?"

Hibirar stopped skidding in the sand close to the where the speeder stopped he got to his feet slowly rotating his head a bit loosening it not feeling any pain, as he took a step towards the shuttle ether it looked like his armor absorbed most of the impact. hearing Lohman still talking from the crash. "Yah I'm good." he said walking closer to the crash.

Valek slowly rose to his feet, looking towards their ride that had come to a halt. It could possibly be repaired, but it was not the issue now as he did not look towards Lohman.

"Fine, no injuries."

He said, turning towards a direction where he suddenly felt something. Possibly Lohman's wife or tribals that lived here Valek did not know, other then it may be their only lead.

"Suggest heading in that direction. Scanners picking up life forms there."
