"I got that quite a bit growing up, but I'm not hostile unless there an enemy." he said looking at Valek, this war has well made us seem like ruthless conquers....Ok maybe some of us are but not all of us, are like how the republic portrays were liveing beings just like everyone else." |

Lohman wiped his nose, almost flattered in a way he couldn't explain. It was nice being in the company of a person who didn't assume the worst of him because of his clan name but of his people as a whole's reputation. It almost gave him a sense of belonging, He waited for Hibirar to finish then began to distribute their meals in front of them. "Tatooine brings out the hospitality in me, what can I say?" He took his own seat and rubbed his hands together. "Its usually just Shev' and I out here," "If I'm lucky..." he thought, this had been the first time in ages she had been in his company off Mandalore, the home planet had been more of a home to the mute then him and so when he took to traveling it was nearly always alone. "I never much got along much with my vod, anyhow. There might be something to those republic prop-i-ganda vids." He joked. Edited by Anonymiss, Jan 17 2011, 02:58 PM.

Valek said nothing, only giving a single nod of his helmet as the smell of the cooked food never regestered to him. Were his mouth piece off, he would have picked up the smell quick, and nearly identified what animal it came from. If it was from Tattooine, if could have come from nearly any animal that roamed the dunes. So far, he had not taken a seat yet and remained standing opposite of the table side Hibirar was sitting at. He knew it was best not to come off rude, but he was a no nonsense type of guy, and slowly started to figure that these were some actualy civil mandalorians. He did not know where Lohman's spouse went, and did not think on it too much. "To go back to previous question, No. Florzen does not... fully regester in my mind. Should it?" |

"Thank you" Hibirar said as he revived the meal from Lohman, but didn't say anymore when Valek asked about Florzen he definitely didn't know the guy. |

"Not if you aren't wanted by him or he's paying you to gut the next guy." Lohman said, cutting the roasted Nerf and raising a piece to his lips. "He's a Brain eater; an Anzat. The sort I rather be paid by then ask questions to. I just took a job from him. Easy money-Hib here and I set off tomorrow to the Jundland waste on his behalf." He took a large bite then looked reflectively at Valek. Edited by Anonymiss, Jan 19 2011, 07:03 PM.

"Need another gun?" Was all Valek asked the man, and that was all he would ask until he got a clear answer. There was a chance he could get some work, and he would take it. |

Lohman was hesitant, more men meant less credits-of which he needed desperately. “I can’t offer you much, but I’d be lying if I said I couldn’t use the help. A third of my pay is all I can give-” His attention suddenly turned to his communicator. He smiled ruefully, then looked back up “How do you feel about sand people?” He asked ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The speeder bike cut through the whipping wind like butter, Shev’la was making miraculous time, the Jundland waste was rapidly approaching and by morning she expected to be home and back at Lohman’s side. It was a recon mission, she would scout out the crash site but should she find the weapons (which were almost definitely in Tusken hands by now) she would not act… Returning them would require man power no one creature had on its own but Lohman had a suspicion and she was never one to disagree with his instincts. “It has to be an EMP, go scout the area and see if you can’t find one set up.” His message that prompted her leave had said. Suddenly the bike died completely, dropping to the ground with only seconds for its rider to leap from the seat and narrowly dodge serious injury. Shev’la landed on her feet, a fresh coat of sand over her once spotless armor. She turned the bike on its side then looked up at the hill ahead. This was bad…should anyone take notice of her crash she would be forced to flee on foot. She began to explain the situation via type on her wrist communicator but found it flashing and cutting out as it sent. All she could do was hope her message went through should she not return. Then came the Error code and she resigned to accept the reality of her position. But there was no sense in halting the task at hand. Shev’la crept up the rocky slope with well placed and soundless steps, crouching when she reached the top. As expected, Tuskens had set camp on the crash site. Through the sandstorm she could see an arrangement of large crates around their makeshift settlement, several damaged, she assumed they were the missing weapons and a side glance assured her as the ship could be seen in the distance. Or at least what was left of it, the wreckage was hardly recognizable. Lifting her wrist comm she hesitated, tapping it with her index finger when she found the screen to be lifeless. When it flashed to life she quickly typed out a short message and sent it before it faded once again. “Tuskens.” it said “Lots of them. Bike c-” Something was making the electronics fail in the area, even her helmet’s display was wavering. She settled on the assumption there was an EMP set up somewhere…perhaps the cause of the crash itself. The sound of splashing water came from behind her and she whipped around. There, stood a young female raider frozen in shock, her water gourd fallen right from her hand. Shev’la held out her own to show she meant no harm just before the Tusken turned to run shouting in a foreign vernacular, she bolted after her, seizing her by the arm. The girl cried out and she struck her without thinking. The Tusken fell weakly, unlike the males they characteristically didn’t have much combat experience. Pinning her to the ground with one hand on her neck and the other on her hip holster Shev’la glared down at her, agressively. She had gone to far and couldn’t turn back or she’d further risk detection. The girl shrieked beneath her, despite her clumsy attempts at silencing her and she began to panic. Finally she drew a silence pistol and put it to her masked forehead. It was over in less then a second. The body stopped its twitching as the Mandalorian let her body weight off it, crouching at the Tusken female’s side. For a moment she looked at her, watching her own helmeted reflection in the girl’s small optical slot. For reasons she couldn’t explain she felt compelled to lift her hood and helmet- but knew in Raider culture it would be desecration of the worst kind. She resisted. Curiosity unfulfilled. Turning in a blur of speed, she caught the arm of a child, causing him to drop the small decorative knife he wielded. He began to scream and she could not pacify him, whether she had killed his mother or sister before him -she didn’t have time to consider, for the Mastiff’s approach could be heard- and judging by the growing clarity of the guard animal’s growls; they were coming fast. She threw the child to the ground with a hard thrust of her arm and took off running into the desert. There was no time to attempt to salvage the bike; she would have to chance it on her own two feet. The sound of her steady breath filled her helmet and the Tusken’s began to rally. She could hear them in the distance as they discovered the body...and the Mastiff's caught her scent. Edited by Anonymiss, Jan 20 2011, 02:15 AM.

"A quarter of it should suffice, considering I am asking. Not really the issue of money, however. Only need some work to keep me active. To keep me busy." Valek said, knowing that he had access to his other weapons and gear in his ship so Lohman did not have to supply him with anything. If he accepted, then Valek would be set. |

"Reasonable. Appreciative." Valek said quite simply. He then looked down to the food as hunger had set in, and decided to try some. He removed the mouth piece on his helmet, though the darkness inside the helmet prevented anything inside from being seen as he ate some of the food. Tomorow would be a big day. |

the next morning The sun streamed through the broken blinds of Lohman's bedroom and he grunted, wiping his face to block out the stubborn rays from his squinting half-awake eyes. Turning on his side he reached out instinctively to feel for Shev'la's flank. There hadn't been a a night the two had parted without waking next to one another the morning after, but this time she was no where to be found. He stirred, sitting up and scanning the room for her nervously. His lips moved in the form of her name and he rose, throwing off his covers and dressing with haste. He tried his best to hide his concern but the wrinkles in his brow seemed permanent from worry. As he gathered his pack for the journey ahead he entered the kitchen to meet his men with his eyes on the wrist communicator and a large bag hanging from his shoulder. With no one in site he allowed himself a little visible panic, turning into the kitchen in the hopes his wife had just risen uncharacteristically early. "Shev'la?" No one to be found. He bit the knuckle of his index finger. 'I shouldn't have sent her out....' |

Valek had spent his sleep in a chair he found that allowed him to sit back. He never was fond of sleeping in beds, mainly because they left him open and unprepared. Once morning came, he left the building and went back to his ship, relieved it was still intact and not as burried in sand as he thought. After getting in, he prepared himself for the mission that was to commence as his magnum and lightsabers were pocketed, his knife on his boot, both his shotgun and assault rifle strapped to his back, plenty of ammo for each fire arm in his coat, and his katana strapped to the right side of his waist. It was a heavy load, but he was prepared to carry all these weapons incase and knew they would not slow him down. After quickly checking his helmet and armor to see they were in top shape, he locked down the ship when he left, heading back towards the house. As he entered, he heard noises coming near the kitchen and he approached, only to see Lohman there. He looked worried, almost like he just dropped a grenade in snow. "Looking for something?" He said, taking notice that Hibirar and Shev'la were not around. They were possibly getting ready, even though he felt only three individuals were in the building, counting him and Lohman. |
