General Kravett paced in his office, trying not to think of the day two months ago when that blasted Jedi and his blasted boy of an apprentice had broken in here. He put that out of his mind. He had bigger problems to worry about. Michael bloody Pound had gotten himself killed by one of the remaining Dark Order warlords only a week ago. Imperial soldiers had found most (Kravett repressed a shudder; Pound's death was one of the ghastliest he had ever seen) of his body only a few days ago. He had pulled troops out of the CSA front, hoping they would be too busy with the Vong and themselves to notice him, and sent them to the small D. O. space, burning and pillaging everything in sight. He would not let them kill an officer without reprisal. Especially considering the way he had died.... Then, yesterday, a letter from a certain "Deputy Prime Minister Yann Vilks", who he had never heard of before, informing him that Bothnia disapproved of the OTAA and the OTRA and formally requested that they be repealed. The bloody nerve of the man! As if he was in any position to negociate! He was in occupied territory, after all. And written on bloody paper with bloody ink as well, as if they were in the Pius Dea era still! Finally, a few hours ago, he had received word that rebels on Lianna had been caught spiriting weapons away from a Remnant fort. The Planetary Guard said it was searching for their stockpile, which meant that they hadn't found it yet. "Certainly taking their bloody time about it," Kravett muttered. There were also a billion papers to voice-sign and scan and draft and pass, but that was to be expected, considering his position. On the bright side, an old friend was due in only a few minutes. Commodore Yankura had asked to see him personally about Vengeance Wing. Kravett had approved, and told him to invite Francesca Nilon as well. She was a good pilot, if Kravett remembered correctly.... |

Yankura saluted sharply, as he was admitted into Kravett's office, Lt. Nilon a few steps behind him. The recently promoted Commodore scanned the room, wondering what extra precausions Kravett was now taking. "Thank you for agreeing to see me on such short notice, General. I don't think you'll be disappointed, after hearing my proposal, either." The young Chiss officer remained at attention, but there was a slight change in his bearing. No longer was it the perfect lines of body, of a promising young officer. It had been replaced by the posture of a seasoned, and successful field commander. |

Kravett stopped pacing and looked up when the door opened. The young officer he had hand-picked so long ago to lead an elite squadron entered his office. Yankura. Technically Mity'anku'raswah, just as Admiral Thraw had been Mitt'hraw'narudo, but in both cases, they used their core name. The General walked up to Yankura with his hands stretched out. A smile played on his lips for a moment. "Good to see you, Kura," he said. He regained formality. "Welcome to my office, Commodore, Captain. What is it you wished to ask?" |

((OCC: Hope Im not intruding)) A moment after Yankura entered, Mariemaia had also decided to come. Her time on Dubrillion came to an exploding conclusion inwhich she wasnt too proud of herself. She had came alone with her usually entourage she was alittle famous for, but it was better this way. Mary was wearing her uniform of course, it was quite the formal affair anyway, but had her jacket over her shoulders like a blanket almost, she was feeling alittle under the weather for some strange reason. Her paleness was an obvious sign of this. Even though many would probably disagree, but Mariemaia was getting old, very old for someone of just seventeen. A sure sign of that was gray strands in the thicket of red hair ontop of her head. Before entering the office, she knocked lightly on the door way even though the door were open, she didnt want to seem rude. "Good evening General." Mariemaia said as she formed a polite smile with her lips, she would bow if her back wasnt aching so much. Mary also coughed alittle too, but covered her mouth. Her subordinates said she probably shouldnt have come, but she knew it was only going to get worse so there was no point in waiting it out, it was futile. Mariemaia nodded over at Yankura though with a proud grin. "Forgive my dreadful appearence, but I was in a hurry." She said with a calm chuckle. Mary should have done something with a rings around her eyes. "So whats today's plans?" She asked. |

[Not at all. Make things interesting....] "Considering my promotion," Yankura began, "I will be forced to leave Vengeance W-." Mariemaia burst into the room. Kravett noted the strand of gray in her hair with mild surprise. Francesca Nilon whipped around as the other woman said "Good evening, General." Nilon's face contorted into a mask of hatred for a moment, before she controlled it. She was jealous of the other woman. Ah, women, Kravett thought. "Forgive my dreadful appearence, but I was in a hurry." Kravett's lips tightened. Very soon, she might be in an awful hurry out of this office. She really did look sick, he thought. He also thought she deserved every bit of it. "So what's today's plans?" Yankura raised a questioning eyebrow at Kravett. Did you invite her? it said. The General shook his head ever so slightly as he walked over to his desk. "I'm glad you could join us, Miss Strith," Kravett said as he sat down. "Perhaps you can provide feedback on Mister Yankura's new idea. That is, of course, if I don't court-martial you and throw you in jail. Or execute you." |

Mariemaia was indeed sick, but it her mind was still as strong as ever, but that may change soon once her heart begins to fail to pupm blood up there. She was lucky she hadnt lost her mind yet. "Execute? Oh, general dont be in such a hurry to such a thing without finding out why." SHe balled her fist over her mouth and coughed some before pinning her cane's tip to the ground to balance her weak body out. "Its better to have an inside man...or woman in this case. Atleast I'll keep you on your toes. My family has served the Empire since it's birth. Im hurt you'd think I'll so eagerly and quickley betray you." Normally she would smile, but she was in just too much pain to do so... "And as for Yankura's plan;...well Im afraid I didnt hear it..." |

"Execute? Oh, General don't be in such a hurry to such a thing without finding out why. It's better to have an inside man... or woman in this case. At least I'll keep you on your toes. My family has served the Empire since its birth. I'm hurt you'd think I'll so eagerly and quickly betray you." From what he had seen of her, Kravett wouldn't put it past her. She did have a point, but a small one at that. He glanced down briefly and pressed a few keys, finding a file. "And as for Yankura's plan...well I'm afraid I didn't hear it...." Kravett's eyes flitted up again. "I'm afraid I didn't either. He was just about to begin when you intruded. But that can wait. Let's hear you instead." Mariemaia's voice filled the room as he opened the file. "Salutations fellow Remnanteers. I come to you as a keeper of old ways. The old ways of crushing the Republic which have been a normal plan for years, but this has been disrupted recently. Disrupted almost entirely to fight a portion of the Combined Armies, a portion we could have used to destroy the disgusting democrats and republicans. That's why I, Mariemaia, will lead an example to the Council and even to the de facto Emperor out there of who the true enemy is. They are fighting each other, it's the perfect time to strike, and I will not watch it be overlooked and wasted." The transmission ended. "The first half of your pretty little speech at Dubrillian. I don't think we need to hear the second half." Kravett glance briefly at Francesca Nilon. She looked like she wanted to spit. "Under the Sedition Act, I could have you jailed for speaking out against me and the Council; you essentially called us fools. In public might I add. I would merely correct you if you offered your opinion in private, but a public speech only divides us further. "In any case, we are fighting the Republic. Ever hear of a place called Arbra?" Nilon's face changed. Now she looked like she wanted to puke. Kravett almost smiled. "But if we don't face these other CA factions, they will kill us. Remember another place called Endor? We can't very well attack the Republic if we're in pieces." Kravett's fingers flew across the keyboard. "Exhibit Two." Another voice filled the room. One that had spoken in person in that room less than two months ago. And in the background were the sounds of battle. "Lady Strith! The liberation of Dubrillion is at hand! Will you fight with your people? Will you accept the destiny that is before you, and lead Dubrillion to it's rightful place in the galaxy?" The Black General's voice faded as the transmission cut off. "And your answer? A yes." Kravett stood up. "You proceeded to help him. A blatant violation of every order this Empire has given since this... man declared himself a Messiah. Do you think after that I can keep your actions hidden? Keep your words silent? Billions already know what you did. I can't do nothing! Some have already demanded you step down. And you say you can be an agent? For whom? Him or me?" A light flashed red, signaling an important message. It could wait for the moment. He was not through with Miss Strith. |

((OOC: my god, did I really say remanteers..
))Mariemaia smiled intently. "Does my voice really sound like that on speaker? My, I sound like a child..." She said shaking her head alittle. However she noticed Nilon. "You should get yourself a tissue darling. I just got these clothes back from the cleaners and I dont want anything to...mess them up." Lady Strith said just before turning back to Kravett. "I must say....a marvelous show." However she took her hand off the top of her cane and tapped the side of her head. "As a brilliant leader you claim to be, de facto, you didnt read between the lines. Perhaps seeing what your people are doing with a clear and open mind could have helped you see the truth." She balled her fist over her mouth and cleared her throat with a few coughs. She walked toward Kravett in a strange way. "Correcting? I dont need correcting. I did what I had to do. The term 'having to do little evil for greater good implies in this situation. You straight forward military types fight with your guns when it could be resolved with much less bloodshed and war machines. The public's view or your lessers dont phase me at all. With their hate of me the more the Black General becomes convinced of my desertion. Needless to say Im still hurt from your quick to judge." Mariemaia stopped nearly infront of Kravett. "If Dubrillion falls out of the hands of the Republic and into my pocket...well I call that a win." She scoffed thouggh and turned. "As for the division....good I say. Make the other factions think we're weak. They'll be more cocky and more prone to loss." She turned her head alittle toward Kravett. "With your brilliance as general what could you possibly be afraid of?" She smiled and walked back to where she was. "My dear general you are worrying far too much." Mariemaia said in a near quiet tone. "I dont fear death, punishment, or anything. I am being punished for crimes you couldnt imagine. Endor means nothing. Once I complete my split to the Black General I'll attack it so you can collect your forces. I love the Empire, I did not lie. I would do whatever it takes to preserve it. Even if it means going against your wishes. Did you honestly think I was going to leave and make war against the Empire? Im disgusted that thought would cross your mind." She turned around and gave a serious look. "The Republic will have two massive forces breathing down their necks. I say its much better than one." Mariemaia didnt faulter. "So attack your enemies within the CA while I help the Black General attack the Republic. We already have....Dubrillian is the first step. I want to personally shove this knife into Pattin's neck." She said pulling a concealed knife from her sleeve. She cleverly balanced the tip of the knife on her firm index finger tip. "So do you disagree with this Kravett? Would you punish me and deal with the Ca, Republic, and General or would you rather let me keep the General off your back while destroying the Republic and let you deal with the CA? With my ousting comes great fortune for this empire. Im willing to do what it takes. Im willing to end my reputation to see this Empire win, but you Kravett--" She pointed at him. "--will know what I've done. Would you do the same? Would you abdicate your rank, reputation, and your soul to see this Empire come out alive? Would anyone in this faction? I would." She was much more serious. "As for those who wish me to step down. Good I shall. I should severe my current ties with the Empire or risk the General think Im going to betray him. It is certainly why Im here now Kravett." Mariemaia pushed both her hands on top of her cane. "In the end its up to you my lord. This is a grand opportunity and what you may decide to do with me now could very well seal the fate of the Empire. Decades of hard work to create this faction could end by the Republic, the CA, or the General. When I joined I promised I would not see that. I hate the Republic too much for that. The Black General presented me a similar opportunity to destroy them all and I will take it. With or without your acceptance...." |

Yankura cleared his throat softly, his red eyes shimmering, and an amused smile on his face. "If I may interupt this little discussion, I believe I can shed some light on a few issues. And hand the General a pair, instead of one, proposals." The Chiss set out a holopad, and keyed it on. A three dimensional galactic map sprang into being. Varius worlds were highlighted in colors used by the Remnant forces to signify varius galactic powers. A new color, black, had been added. And it included a number of worlds..... "By siding with the Black General, who my sources claim may have once been a Jedi Master, possibly even on the Council, in the action at Dubrillion, Captain Strith acted to throw off a Republic force. One that had been repressing a strong Remnant ally world. Though the fact that a black banner with a single white star flies alongside the colors of Dubrillion, and nowhere is seen the standard of the Remnant, clouds the issue of her heroism to some extent." Yankura gestured to Endor. "A more recent lesson exists here. The Dark Legion is no longer commanded by Rage or Thomas Darque. Whoever has assumed control is far more canny, and the Legion battles us nearly evenly for control of the falling Sith Empire." He pointed to where Arbra had once been. "I don't believe Arbra can be called a victory for anyone. Whoever was responsible for this action, has lit a fire that now fuels this Black General, and his daily growing armies. 'Remember Arbra' has become their battlecry. It may well come to pass the entire galaxy will regret how the battle for Arbra ended." "You want to wage war against the Republic?" He pointed to Mariemaia. "And you want to defeat or former allies, turned enemies?" He pointed towards Kravett. "I'm going to offer solutions to both." "Captain Strith must make a public break from our services. Escaping capture, through luck and bungled orders. Hang the incompetants you place in charge of her capture. It will help you look more solid in the action." He paused, giving Frankie an apologetic look. "If she continues to feed us with information about this Black General, we are ahead. If she is truly a traitor, then we are merely out one Star Destroyer and it's crew. And Vengeance will come for her....but it would be her precious Dubrillion, that will pay the price for her.....no matter which lord she chooses to betray, I would imagine." He smiled. "There, a simple, and workable, solution. Now, on to the original purpose of this meeting. I am proposing the disbanding of Vengeance Wing. In it's place, I will create Vengeance Division. Each current Wing member will become a squadron commander. Twelve full wings. We will select the best pilots we have. We will train them to be better. Different wings, and even different squadrons, will recieve different missions to fulfill, and so we will diversify." This much alone, Kura was fairly confident would meet little to no resistance. It was the next part, the part Vengeance would depend on, he was not as sure about. "More over, Vengeance Division would fall outside of the chain of command. We would anser only to you, General. Beyond the political manueverings of the Admiralty." |

[Yes you did... Sounds... interesting!] Finally, Kravett grinned. She really was as smart as he had hoped. He had actually already thought of a plan very similar to what she proposed, though her version was understandably more refined: she would have wanted to get away from the fire as quickly as possible. And most of Yankura's words made sense as well. There was one minor problem. "Mariemaia," he said, "the problem would not be the appearance of division, but rather, the existence of it. We are not a homogenous people. We are built on conquest and thus have many, many different groups. For example, I have in my desk a form asking for the surrender of the CSA, under the condition that, after the confiscation of sidearms, they will not be treated as an enemy. And the condition that we support them in their fight against the Yuuzhan Vong." He walked towards the galactic map, standing among the stars. "So we have begun reuniting our broken Empire, even if it took Etti IV to make that happen. "Fortunately, there are not many Dubrillian as compared to the total population, so there should be little division. Most disapprove of your actions but like the fact that we own one more planet. I was going to strip you of rank, leave you in jail a few days, and then let you fly with the Black General, but yours and Yankura's plan sounds better. Step down, escape, I will set people on you but they won't find you. And Kura, you have your division, so long as you keep a spot for office assistant open for a certain Miss Mary Staers." Kravett nodded at Mariemaia. "She will report to you first." [You both get control of my charries till the 7th of Jan. Merry Christmas!] |

{{OOC: I just think it sounds so cheesy! xD)) Mariemaia nodded. "I can live with this." She liked Yankura's plan it seemed efficient. "I will do my best to serve the General in a way that will have a benificial factor for the Empire. You have my solemn word." She said as her lip curled inward. She shifted her body weight to her cane and leaned up against the wall. She was feeling bad more than ever. "I only need to ask one last thing. Shall I step down here or shall it be a public spectacle?" She smiled though, she was given a chance to hit the Republic with force. Finally she could show those Republicans what she had become sincre her days at the Onderon Academy. |

When she was called to appear before General Kravett alongside Commodore Yankura, 1st Lieutenant Nilon strived to appear as dignified as possible. When Mariemaia barged in, a look of disgust covered her face. The little twerp had the audacity to barge into the General's office and not even salute. The disgust slowly turned into a moderate form of hatred and annoyment. How dare they let her carry on like that? she thought, fighting to keep her emotions from showing through. When the General and Commodore Yankura finally got back to the topic of which they had come, Francesca snapped back to attention. |

Kravett thought for a moment. "You ought to do it privately, by letter or something. Now, if you wish it. If you go public, people will go after you right away, and you don't seem like the type to inform the public of failure. This way, you get more time to disappear. A little bit, anyways." He turned to Lt. Nilon. "What do you think of the matter, miss?" He glanced at Kura. "And as to falling outside the chain of command, I'm afraid you will have to remain in it, if somewhat less so than other divisions. For official purposes, you see." He winked at Nilon, an extremely rare occurrence. He looked back at his desk, at a picture of his wife and two children. "Do any of you have anything else to say? It's been a while since I've seen Selaria." |

"I feel that expanding Vengence Wing into a division is a very smart move to make, sir," Lt. Nilon replied. "The number of targets that we will be able to hit with the same precision increases exponentially." She turned her head sharply to look at Mariemaia before turning back to the General. "You should have given that lady over there a much stricter punishment, though. She has fractured quite a few of our laws of conduct." |

Mariemaia faced down at her cane and scratched the tip of it with her index finger's nail. SHe had alot on her mind and she was feeling quite ill. Her eyes kept blurring in and out and her head started to beat down on her. She had the strength to easily look up at Kravett. "A letter? Very well." Mariemaia weakly stood erect, her back cracked which could be heard by anyone near her. Curse her family genes, a genetic disease is too much to endure. Mariemaia looked over at Nilon, how dare she talk to a superior that way. She didnt care even though she was being hypocritical for thinking that, but she was arrogant. Mariemaia lifted her cane and swung the tip of it under Nilon's chin. "I did what was needed. Someone needs to sacriface themselves for greater good, if you meet someone who has the guts to do it such as myself I would suggest you show alittle more respect." Mariemaia said as her eyelids closed halfway. "What do you know of punishment? Im barely in adulthood and yet I feel like Im eighty, you cant do anything to me." She finished then placed the tip of her cane back on the floor. Mariemaia took a deep breath and squeezed the part of the shirt over her heart, it was beating awfully fast, her medication was due, but Mariemaia didnt want to seem pathetic infront of others so she would wait. |
