Coronet. The shimmering metropolis served as the capitol city of Corellia and headquarters for the planetary security force CorSec. Now it had also become a center of political instability. Due to a reacent bombing strike, many Anti-Loyalist rallies broke out. That conflicted with the already circulating Pro-Loyalist propoganda. Naturally, the two sides didn't stay out of eachothers way for long. Protests that began bloodless escalated to full riots. It was as if the entire Corellian populous had gone mad. From the back seat of a CorSec security landspeeder, Jedi Knight Orcien Torren was treated to a different image of the strife-ridden Coronet. The commercial district the landspeeder passed through was, oddly enough, nearly empty. Once popular eateries now seated a meager three or four patrons at a time at most. Bustling stores now had durasteel grates pulled over their windows. "Excuse me, Officer Danaal." Orcien began, turning to the uniformed CorSec officer in the front passengers seat. "Where are all the civilians? It's odd that this part of the city is so eerily quiet, at the height of the buisness day too." The female CorSec Officer the Jedi adressed looked over her shoulder to reply. "They're all most likely at protests. Either that or too scared to leave their homes. We took this road because we knew it would be quiet. In other parts of Coronet... its a different story." There was a touch of sadness in the womans voice, and she turned away from the Jedi in the back seat to absently brush a stray strand of her long black hair behind her ear. Several CorSec speeders had been attacked when they made the mistake of trying to push through the more violent areas of the city. Three CorSec officers died and nine were wounded in seperate attacks. Those events were more than enough to teach CorSec where they weren't wanted. "We will be reaching CorSec plaaza in six minutes." Officer Danaal said, her composure firmly in place. "You will have a full debreifing upon your arrival." Orcien nodden in response, satisfied with the answers he had received, both spoken and sensed. The small convoy of CorSec landspeeders twisted through the streets, towards CorSec plaza. CorSec had requested Jedi assistance, and the Jedi had responded, hoping to combad the turmoil the entire Corellian system faced. |

Tollos scanned the area, though more with his senses in the Force, than his physical ones. He could feel the wide mix of emotions. Above all else, he could feel the tension. He looked to the others. This mission had been a dangerous undertaking, highlighted by the lack of experience most of them had. One small mistep, by any of them, could cause irreprible damage. He glanced at Orcien. "We have our work cut out for us, based on what I'm feeling from the people we've passed. Your thoughts so far?" |

Orcien turned his eyes back out the window, taking in the sight of the empty sidewalk. "Agreed." He replied gravely. "But the solution will be difficult to find. Any action we take has the potential to set off this explosive situation." The Jedi Knight abandoned his sightseeing, now fixated on the road ahead of the speeder. "Fear has a strong hold here." "Perhaps too strong for us to drive out." He made the thought privately, though the worry managed to seep into his expression. |
