The office was shrouded in shadows. Little signs it had seen recent use. It's owner, General Kravett, was finally on his way back to it. Hypori had required he return to the Kessel shipyards, for both repairs and resupply. Another General stood, silently in the shadows. He was flanked, by one of his Knights. The young boy, Andrew Tylange, had been chosen to accompany the Black General, specifically for his personal hatred of the man they'd come to see. The dim lighting in the room was of an unnatural means, as Kravett would soon discover. Hadrius smiled, silently observing the war preparations. Fools. You have no idea what's coming. |

Andrew paced. He was impatient but didn't say anything. An idea came to mind. "We could steal his plans right now, couldn't we? That would help." Any way he could get back at Kravett would please him. What Kravett had done.... Andrew shuddered. He had felt the Force-shock when Arbra was destroyed, but that was still had not injured him as much as Kravett's.... The Black Knight resisted the urge to spit. General Kravett entered the system aboard the Thrawn. It had taken slight damage during the Battle of Hypori, enough to requisition a few repairs, and stocks were starting to run low. His next campaign wouldn't be in Sith Empire space now that the Sith had been defeated at Hypori. He also needed to prepare for that. The General docked his ship and, after small ceremonies, left to board a small transport to the surface, where the Imperial Palace and his throne room were. Nice to be back home. Avna entered the Kessel system shortly before General Kravett arrived. He had been promised many thousands of credits if he killed the de facto Emperor, and he wanted them. The Vong assassin brought his coralskipper to the ground, claiming it was merely a transport vehicle and thus bypassing customs, after showing the proper credentials, of course. All stolen or forged, of course. He wanted that money. |

"Andrew.....stealing his plans will account for little, at this point. His plans are about to be radically altered. And, besides.....don't you think it's time he was humbled a bit?" Hadrius kept his voice soft, but allowed some mirth to be present. That mirth would soon cease. He stretched out his senses, locating Kravett, and sending a very sublte nudge, directing the Remnant's defacto 'emperer' to his office. "He'll be here soon enough. Don't worry. You have the strength to face him. You have always been stronger than you think." |

General Kravett unboarded his ship and started walking towards the palace. His palace. Much smaller and more conspicuous than that of Palpatine. Kar had been smart when he had constructed it. It looked like a regular bunch of buildings from the air. From the ground, it looked like what it was, with huge reinforced wooden doors marking the main entrance. Kravett wasn't using that today. Better to come in the side and not get noticed and instantly swamped with papers and things. He'd have enough of that waiting in his office. He'd rather go straight to his bedchamber, but an urge came over him to go to his office instead. So I can see how much work I have to do, he told himself. He neared his office. Avna cursed silently but fluently. He could see Kravett going into the Palace, but he was too far to try a shot. Getting past the guards was no problem, but he had wanted an easier time of it than the Emperor was giving him. He pulled out an ooglith masquer and put it on. Now, he would look like a human, much easier to get in. And he had the proper credentials to get past the guards. He passed through all the checkpoints and made his way to the side door. He pushed the door in.... Andrew nodded. He knew he was strong enough for Kravett. He just wanted the general to hurry himself up. He opened his mouth to say something and then the knob turned.... |

Hadrius focused the Force around himself, bending away any thoughts of noticing his presense. Kravett had a strong mind, so maintaining the illusion was taxing, but managable. As Kravett passed into the office, Hadrius reached out to the controls, triggering their emergency lock down function. As the blast doors slid closed, and alarm klaxons began to sound, Hadrius reached out, further bending the light in the room, drawing the shadows to the center of the room, and slowly dispersing them, as he released the mental blocks on noticing his presense. "Good evening, General Kravett. I am the Black General. I think it's past time we had a little chat." Hadrius's face remained hidden under his hood, but the gleam of his gold and black armor was visible in the dim light of the office. |

It was a testament to Kravett's willpower that he did not jump or have a heart attack. His face was one of shock, but only for a fleeting moment. Then he gathered himself. "I have heard of you," Kravett said. "You say you want peace, yet you bring more war to the galaxy. Rumors say you were once a Jedi, a seeker of peace. Quite an enigma." The alarms were muffled in the office. Within two minutes, guards would be in here. Or at least, they should be in here. Andrew glared at Kravett. Despite his age, a lesser man would have cringed under it. The High General merely nodded. "And you've dragged him into your snare too, poor boy." "I chose my own path," he growled. He could barely contain himself from jumping on Kravett and... something, he didn't know what, but he would do something. |
