Jeshika gulped as the head came rolling near her. For the first time in a long time, she felt her heart leap into her throatt. Or maybe it was vomit. It had been years since she could remember throwing up at the sight of a dead body and damn if she was going to do it now. Swallowing it back, she lifted her eyes to take in those in the room. The five ones cloaked in their robes and the menace sitting on the throne of bones.

She could sense the darkness flowing from them and it was amazing in the same breath that it was frightening. Her eyes went back to the floor, but she forced herself not to think too much on anything at the moment. She knew they would read her thoughts as if she were a book. Especially this Setti if she gave them the chance.

He really was a fearsome Sith Lord and he only had to be sitting on the throne to eminate that...

I can taste your fear, girl. It permeates you....it fills the air. Setti's voice echoed through her mind. Then the pressure came....

Where Aurin had merely pushed, to contain her abilities, Setti was forcefully invading her mind. He lashed out, his mind like a whip, tearing layers of mental defence with each strike.

His mind wrapped around and through hers, assaulting her defences, chipping away at her mental armor. His yellow eyes gleamed bright in her soul, their gaze wandering through the very fabric of who she was....

You are nothing but a child. A scared little girl, playing with forces you cannot comprehend. You are mine for the taking. I can own you.....I can hurt you.....I will break you.

How easily your false cowering became real. Why? Not over the head of my former apprentice, to be sure. No.....it is because I am power, without restraint. It is because you know, instinctively, that you cannot beat me.....and this? This....you fear....

The pressure began to increase, as he allowed her to catch glimpses of how he saw her, and what he had planned for her.....all the while, savagely tearing at her mind.....her soul.....until the images he sent, were so deep inside her, it was hard to tell if they came from him....or her nightmarish imagination....

Jeshika's eyes widened slightly at the feeling of him tearing through her shields, through every defense her former Master had spent years teaching her to perfect and fine tune. And he was ripping them to shreds as if they were silk or mere paper in his path. A gasp escaped her throat as if she were being clawed into and it felt nearly like a physical pain raking through her.

His words were spinning through her head like a tornadoe. I can own you.....I can hurt you.....I will break you. She shook her head as if to shake them off, her voice coming out weak, dry, and cracked. "Get out of my head, bastard..."

And then the images flooded through her. Filled her every sense with sight, smells, touches, and sounds of what he was showing her. The bile rose back in her throat, but she fought it off. Oh Goddess... She swore she whimpered and shuddered at the images, but she flung all her energy against him to repel him from her mind, from the grip he had on her at the moment.

"Stop it!" She was up to her feet at that, unable to stay kneeling in the wake of such terror.

Seth sneered as he watched Jeshika cringe in fear. He enjoyed the spectacle thoroughly. "I am hear because Aurin sent me," he sneered, "Little does he know that it served as a perfect opportunity to defect and deliver his only other Acolyte of notice to you. Tadzen, his apprentice is weak and will never be able to help him uphold his group."

His gaze fell upon the head of the rebellious follower and it flew through the air to land in his hand. Seth looked into the white, dead eyes and grinned. His eyes slowly moved and made contact with the yellow pits on Setti's face. "He defied you? Foolish. I assure you my lord, I know my limits and I know I am far from powerful enough to challenge your position."

Laughter filled the room, dark and deep. It faded into a growl, as Setti lept forward from his throne of bone. With a snarl, and clwed hand extened, he cleared the distance to Jeshika, reaching for her throat.

I am not so easily cast aside.....submit to me, and I may show you mercy. Resist me, and I will break you in every way you can imagine....as well as many you can not.

His face spread into a viscious grin. "I rather like your offering, Apprentice. She has fire.....but, tell me, why should I trust you, if you so easily sell out your masters? Why should I believe you will not as easily sell me out, should you see the chance to better your lowly station by it?"

Jeshika executed a flip backward and landing some feet away from Setti before he could grab onto her. She had just barely escaped that grip. Reaching out her hand, she called her sabers to her, igniting one of the red blades as she fell into a defensive stance for the time being. She now, however, was well away from Seth as well. He could do as he pleased.

Turning her blue eyes back to Setti, she narrowed them, trying to banish the fear from them at the same time. She replaced it with anger, channeled it. There was no way this beast was going to make her submit in anyway.

"Seth would take the first chance he was given to kill anyone in his way, including you, Lord Setti. He's a worm like that...a maggot."

The sun was high in the sky and beating down on a lone figure who rested his back against a jagged rock. With his eyes closed the figure sighed as he felt the rough, sandy wind against his face. You cant run from what you are, hearing the voice the figure suddenly opened his eyes and looked around A drop of sweat formed above his brow as he nerviously scanned the area.

"Leave me alone" The young man said in a soft voice. The sith are gathering, go to them. The sharp voice rang out once again, this time with more edge to its tone. "Let them gather, I dont need them" The figure answered the voice within his head. Then why did you drag us to this damn planet. We both know you seek greatness, these Sith will lead you to it. "I said leave me alone!" The figure shouted outloud as he stood up.

Walking away from the rock the figure placed his hands against his head and tried to focus. "Stop fighting it, you know it is useless." A much more real voice spoke aloud. Bringing his hands away from his head the figure turned to his left and watched as a little boy, no older then 10 stood before him. "You...your not real! Your just another hillucination!" The figure shouted loud as he quickly pulled his saber from his side and ignited the blade.

The little boy glanced at the ignited lightsaber and smirked, "Edrik we both know that can not hurt US" The child said as he stepped forward. Falling to his knees Edrik dropped the saber and grabbed his head once again, "Just leave me alone!" He demanded as he slammed his fist into the sandy ground. The little boy said nothing as he stopped infront of Edrik, "If you want me gone then go to the sith" The child said, then quickly vanished.

Nodding his head Edrik stood up. With his lightsaber in hand he began to walk through the massive Vally toward the pressence of the other Sith. With each step the haunting voice within his head plagued him. Edrik knew he had to control himself, or his actions might get him killed.

"You cannot my lord," Seth replied grinning, "Trust is a luxury no Sith can afford. So long as I am weaker than you, there shall be no problem. Your superiority is your assurance. With all due respect my lord, should I ever become more powerful then you would no longer be qualified to lead. Such is our way I believe?"

He glanced over at the young lady and smiled even more maliciously. "Isn't that right Jeshika?" he asked.

With the wind blowing toward him, Edrik inched closer and closer toward the Sith Academy. With his head held down to avoid the sand blowing at him, his robes flew wildly in all directions. He could sense the presence of other sith, powerful sith. "This should be interesting...." Edrik muttered to himself as he stopped in his tracks. Running his hands threw his hair he took a deep breath as he looked up at the large Sith Academy. What are you waiting for? The same voice as before rang through his head. "Shut up, you are not helping" Edrik spoke quickly.

Taking another deep breath Edrik reached down into his pocket and pulled out a small vile. Looking at it for a second he popped the cap and brought it to his mouth. Slipping a pill into his mouth he swallowed. With a new sense of focus on his face he took a step into the Academy.

Walking through the dark halls Edrik remained silent. Off in the distance he could hear the voices of others. The effects of the pills were slowly beginning to take there effect, with a new gained focus and control Edrik made his way toward the voices..

Setti smiled. revealing a row of razorsharp teeth. "Indeed, such is our way. But I must still have a test of you abilities. And a demonstration of your allegiance." He glanced back and forth, between the two.

"Do you, perhaps, know any way you could begin to show me what I need to see?"

His head turned, as if listening to something, and his smile broadened. "Come, young Edrik. Join us. We have been expecting you also."

She ignored Seth's words, cursing herself silently in her head. She had not trusted Seth and now, she understood why. She stayed in her position, saber burning red in the chamber as she watched them, eyes flicking back and forth then finally to Setti again as he spoke to seemingly no one. Reaching out with her senses, she felt the other sith in the distance and narrowed her eyes. Had it been Aurin she might have been happier, or even relieved, but this one she did not know. It was only another obstacle to add to the situation.

Seth thought for a moment and shrugged. "I could kill the girl but by the sounds of it you would like to keep her," he said, "Other than that I don't have an idea. But name the test and I shall do it."

Seth had felt the presence earlier, before Setti had called to the person. He felt conflicted somehow, as if he were battling himself. But since that first appraisal, this person, this Edrik, seemed to have pulled himself together and gained new resolve. This would prove to be a most interesting evolution to occurring events.

((Apparently you know his name :P ))

Edrik stepped out from the shadows and glanced at the sith who spoke his name. With a slight nod he took a small step forward to get a better view of the others. Standing infront of him was a woman, who back facing toward him. Close to the woman was another man, someone he didnt know. "Forgive me for keeping you waiting" Edrik said in a soft voice and slight bow, showing his respect for the far more powerful sith lord.

"Keep the girl? She'll be fun to break, I suppose. And break you I shall, little girl, till nothing of who you are today remains." The savage Sith Lord turned to face Seth, and Edrik.

"I would say.....it's high time we did something about the being who is single handedly weakening the Sith. Darth Aurin. He's here. On Korriban. I can smell his cowardice. And he's brought his fodder with him." Setti grinned. "Are you ready to face your former Master, Seth?"

"And you, Edrik.....are you ready, to begin your journey in earnest?"

As for you, my dear, but down your toys, before I take your hands off. Time enough for that kind of.....foreplay....later on. You are alone, and without hope of rescue. Aurin will fall this day, and then, you will be truly alone.....save for my presense in your mind...your thoughts....your....

When Setti mentioned Aurin being on the planet, Jeshika had sworn she felt something swell in her chest. Something one might equate to hope. She reached out with her senses to Aurin, trying to find and perhaps warn him. Warn him of what? That this horrible monster was planning on his destruction and so many worse things...

Not like he'd give a shit. She gritted her teeth at the thought.

And instantly that hope was squashed out. Setti was right. It was foolish to expect any type of rescue. Aurin didn't seem to have anywhere near the kind of power that Setti oozed. He was strong, yes, but was he strong enough?

Her blue eyes went back to Setti, but she only narrowed them on him in hatred. If her fate was going to be death or being at the mercy of this spawn then she knew which she would rather take. She ignited her other red saber and linked the hilts as she fell back into a defensive stance.

"It is you that will be alone, Setti...save for your minions when they join you in death." She let her voice hold an icy warning, throwing up a front of confidence rather than fear. Hatred and anger, rather than cowardice.

In herself though, she sent out a small call to Aurin, hoping that it sounded nothing like a plea. Hurry.
