[Sorry, I only saw numbers for TIEs.... Fixed now.]

Rommel saw the Legion's Interdictors moving. "Kref," he muttered. Michael Pound goggled. "What?"

"Nothing... uh, sir."

Any other time, Rommel might have laughed. Not now. He turned to his comm officers and started shouting out orders. "Send a screening force forward to ring the doorbell, everyone else pull back further than their Interdictors!" He looked at the tactical display again. He muttered again, probably breaking all ten commandents, with the possible exception of the one against graven images.

Michael Pound coughed. "I think I'll go lead that screening force," he suggested.

Rommel shook his head. "Take control of the ship's gun batteries." He looked back down. After mentally counting the seconds since his last order went out, he called out more. "Belay that last. Pull the screening force around, make two wide formations to take the Interdictors out. We've got more TIEs. I hope to God their other fighters aren't as fast."

Pound stopped at the entrance to the bridge. "Arbra?" he asked carefully.

Rommel froze. "GO TO YOUR POST!" he roared. Pound ran and all the other officers on the bridge fell silent and stared at him. Rommel shuddered, not minding them for a moment. He sighed and opened his eyes. "Get back to your jobs."

They slowly swiveled back to their posts. Rommel continued. "Put our Interdictor behind us to keep a path open. Give it enough guards. Put half the TIE fighters on it and send the TIE/Ds to the front."

Officers nodded. Rommel muttered. Arbra, he thought and disgusted, shuddered again.

Vicrone was going over the controls of the space ship, flipping switches to start it up. "Alright, Landak. Let's go." He replied through the comm, as the ship started to lift in the air. He was going to enjoy destroying the Remnant's fleet. He would only pull out if his life was under a serious threat, and the ship was on the verge of exploding.

Rotating the ship toward the exit of the hangar, he prepared to blast through. He lifted the pilot's helmet required to live out in space, and put it on his head, strapping it tight. Pulling the black tinted visor down, he looked through the vision it gave him. Perfect. Vicrone then tested the comm attached to the helmet, and switched it to the frequency he was talking to Landak on.

Feeling fully prepared, he pulled up a black handle halfway, making the ship move at a required speed for clearing the hangar without any incident. As soon as he exited the hangar, he spun his ship as he faced upward, and set the ship on full speed, powering up the boosters as well, to make him get there faster. "Time to destroy some Remnant scum." Vicrone spoke into the comm as he broke through the first level of the atmosphere.

Landaks ship came spiraling out of the hangar with full speed bursting through the atmosphere linking slowly behind Vicrone's unit keeping his channel clear. His visor was one and his system was calculating all the maneuvers being taken and that will be taken. He charged his Heavy fire-linked laser cannons Moving under the unit but staying still behind. He was going to be a tank buster here and he was not going back if he did not get that chance.

"Vicrone... Where should we hit first... should we take out small fighters? Or hit the essential ships and bring them down?"

Landak asked peering out his side window seeing the world below them. He gripped his controls letting his fingers become ready for a unsuspected attack. He was ready for this battle.

As they broke the third level of atmosphere, Vicrone received his message. Checking the altitude gauge, he leveled himself to a steadier angle. Flipping his comm on, he replied. He felt he was quite ready for the battle, and was determined that they would win indefinitely.

"Take out the essentials. If the small fighters get in the way, or start damaging you critically, feel fry to open fire on them. After the big ships shields are gone, aim for the reactors. We'll take them down in no time." Vicrone removed his finger from the TALK key, and sped up.

Vicrone's eyes darted to his radar, and noticed the closest fleet was just a few thousand kilometers away, kilometers away from the first atmosphere of the planet. Vicrone checked in to the rest of the squadron, which consisted of only five. Himself, Landak, two elite pilots, and a very skilled bomber pilot. Their ships consisted of a TIE Bomber, a TIE Oppressor, and an advanced TIE/IN Fighter.

Deep within the inner sanctum of the facility, Culwyn Graves allowed his mind to float freely.....drifting out through the battle, so as to better coordinate. He could likely master Battle Meditation, if he so chose, but he had other matters, other techniques, he'd need more. For now, observing, and directing, should work just fine.

"Manuever gunships to force their fighters back, and keep our Interdictors covered. I don't want them to escape with enough to call this anything but a tragic excercise in futility. Kravett should never have sent them here. I want his nose bloodied for his audacity."

Rommel watched as the TIEs swung around and began hitting the Interceptors. Then, he saw as the gunships came towards them. "Kref," he spat out again. "Pull back," he ordered. "Pull the fighters back to us in an orderly fashion. Get 'em around us. And pulle everyone back slowly. Where is our Interdictor?!"

He glared at the tactical display. Vast swaths of enemy fighters and gunships were nearing him. "This isn't Rage," he muttered. "Who the hell is commanding this battle?" he asked no one in particular.

Rommel paced.

"Bring our Interdictor behind us. We need to get out of here yesterday."

Landak at the back he lead the tail of the rest of them. Seeing a tie fleet come at them he let his heavy cannons fire of a few heated blasting on of the ties winds with one shot and the other just barely missing. The ties flew past the and it must of been a least a group of 5 tie fighters and a specialized tie commander as its painting and logos were quite different.

"Vicrone they are coming back around... should we fire upon them or move ahead? They may be coming back to return fire. I know I have at least one with a damaged wing."

Landak reported with his hands clutched on the controls and his finger ready to grip and fire. The blood began to rise as the instance of battle aroused the life in him sending pleased tingles of excitement through his body. His eyes focused and he then felt his mind reach out being able to glimpse out into the battle with an uncontrolled sense he had used before. It was the force he knew that but what aspect of it drove him his mind would query.

"We got one!" People on the bridge started cheering. Rommel, being the commander, was less inclined to celebrate.

"How bad?" he asked the officer who had spoken up with the news.

The officer looked at his display of the enemy Interdictor. "The gravity wells are hurt, but still somewhat functional. Life support's intact, one engine's gone, one damaged, but the other four still running." The cheers faded a little, but the Imps were still willing to celebrate every tiny victory in this battle. They weren't out yet, though, as Rommel well knew.

"Tell all fighters who have an open path to go ahead and make the jump, coordinates to Kessel, and swing our blasted Inderdictor to counter theirs! We need to go! NOW!" People scurried everywhere shouting out orders and coordinates, calculating departure paths. Rommel was still confused. Who was commanding this battle?!

He looked at his wrist chrono. His eyes bulged. Half an hour. The Remnant definitely needed to leave.

Graves slipped his min through the Remnant forcs scanning them for one thing. The command ship.

Easily isolating the point from where direction was coming, Graves began to relay new orders. "Ignore the Imperial Class Star Destroyer. Every vessel, save that one, is target of oppurtunity. Waste the rest of the Fleet."

They were going to be able to get out. Barely. And with not enough ships. There was one other way to survive this, but a shameful one. Better shame than death, Rommel thought gloomily.

"Send a truce message to the planet and the ships, flash a truce signal." He glared at the comm officer's open mouth. "Now!"

The comm officer jumped a little. "Yessir," she yipped and swung around to her screen. She tapped out a number of sequences and sent a message. The other officers on the bridge refused to look Rommel's way. They didn't like surrender but they knew when they were beaten.

"And keep our Interdictor about where it is whenever the Legion replies. If they do. It only needs to move a little more to let us escape, if they say no."
