Name: Robin Ashley Mireles Avalos
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Grade: 12th
School: George Hunter High School
Hobbies and Interests: K-pop, tennis, gossiping, herpetology

Appearance: Robin is fairly short, standing at 5’3” and weighing in at 133 lbs. She has a lean and muscular physique, with definition in her forearms thanks to years of playing tennis. Her skin has a tanned olive complexion, and regularly takes care of her skin as to avoid breakouts of acne. Robin has an oval face, with a wide nose and a small mouth. Her wide set hazel eyes are usually behind blue rectangle framed glasses. She has straight dark brown hair that she keeps in a neat chin-length bob. In her final semester of high school, Robin dyed it golden blonde, though its growth is evident in the showing roots.

Robin’s fashion senses varies. Normally she is conscious of her style, often pairing sweatshirts or sweaters with light colored jeans and high-top sneakers. She is also fond of wearing skirts and dresses, often matched with cardigans and tights. On the flip side, if she’s having a low-maintenance day and just wants to dress for comfort, she will throw together a t-shirt, sweatpants, and tennis shoes, with a jacket if it’s a particularly cold day.

On the day of the trip, Robin was wearing an oversized green windbreaker (with ‘George Hunter Horned Owls’ emblazoned on the left breast) over a white t-shirt with ‘BTS’ printed on it in black and green floral print. She was also wearing light-colored denim jeans and white high-top sneakers.

Biography: Robin Ashley Mireles Avalos was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Douglas Mireles and Teresita “Terri” Avalos, two second-generation Mexican-Americans with familial roots in the Rio Grande Valley. The couple moved from Mission, Texas to Chattanooga to pursue better job opportunities. Douglas works for the municipal government, and Terri is a technical writer. Robin has two older siblings, Abbie (24) and Casey (20). Abbie currently lives in Atlanta, while Casey still lives with the family while he completes an electrician apprenticeship.

Growing up, Robin’s family was tight-knit. Her parents were affable and always ready to nurture any hobbies and interests their children developed. Although they were often busy with work, Doug and Terri always made an effort to spend any extra time they had with their children. They especially encouraged an active lifestyle, and family outings were often outdoors, to places like the park or the pool. Robin was an energetic child and enjoyed being outside, often running around the neighborhood when she wasn’t out with her family.

In an effort to nurture this energy, Robin’s parents signed her up for numerous sports and extracurriculars, hoping that she would find one she enjoyed. When she was in second grade, her parents signed her up for tennis lessons. Robin quickly fell in love with the exhilarating and fast-paced game, getting easily caught up during matches. She especially enjoyed the one-on-one nature of the game, which she felt more personally involved in than in team-based sports. The following summer was the 2008 Summer Olympics, which was an event her parents had always kept up with. This year, Robin also followed the tennis matchups, and found herself rooting for Serena and Venus Williams, the American competitors in women’s singles. This idolization, combined with her enjoyment for the sport, sparked a lifelong passion for tennis.

Robin would later join the Chattanooga chapter of junior team tennis, which she’d stay a part of throughout her elementary and middle school years. They practiced as a team, and competed in local tournaments. She was an enthusiastic player, and always looking to better herself. This hard work paid off, as she rose to become an excellent player, especially in women’s singles. Off the court, Robin became close with her teammates, bonding over their shared passion for the sport. She was also well-liked, given her outgoing and cheery nature. Despite her competitive streak, Robin also displayed good sportsmanship. She developed incredible confidence through tennis, bolstered by her success in tournaments and the praise she received from her parents, coaches, and peers. Robin is incredibly ambitious, and since she was young, has aspired to go to the Olympics.

In school, Robin quickly grew into a social butterfly. She made friends easily throughout elementary school through her cheery nature and general chattiness. Robin was especially fond of retelling stories and anecdotes, delighting in her friends’ reactions. She’d prefer telling stories that got the biggest reactions, which were often salacious rumors and any other embarrassing stories. The subjects of these stories were often not friends of hers, so she was able to spread these stories guiltlessly. She also tended to stray away from things that seemed too serious (like family issues), and preferred things that were funny at face value. Robin also began actively searching out for rumors in middle school, partially out of her own curiosity and partially to find more stories to tell her friends. Soon, she’d established herself as a fixture in the school’s rumor mill, a position which has persisted as she progressed through high school.

During her later elementary school years, the Mireleses decided to get a family pet. While the conventional choice was a dog, which was convenient for their active lifestyle, Casey began advocating for a pet snake. He cited how much more interesting one would be to raise, and how it would be a pet nobody else would have. Robin was easily caught up in her brother’s enthusiasm, and at the concession of their older sister, their parents gave in. The summer after fifth grade, Robin and her family got a pet corn snake, which they named Stan, and placed his terrarium in the living room. Robin was quickly enamored by the snake, fascinated by its eating habits and enjoying playing with him. As Casey’s interest in Stan waned, she became his main caretaker, responsible for feeding her and cleaning his tank. While the work can be cumbersome, she thinks it’s worth having the snake. Her curiosity led her to also research more into how to best care for Stan, and she soon grew an appreciation for all kinds of snakes. As she grew older, Robin grew to love reptiles as a whole. Up until her junior year, Robin only had one pet. That summer, she also got two pet turtles, named Jimin and Seulgi, which she keeps in a separate tank in her room.

In high school, Robin joined the tennis team, which allowed her to begin participating in tournaments that reached above the local level. Robin’s first season was rough as she tried to adjust to the higher skill levels of her opponents, although she never let these losses affect her personally. Instead, she used them to motivate herself to work harder and imrpove herself. She is known to her teammates for her dogged determination, but also her almost naive optimism. Robin is usually in high spirits right before matches, and known for hyping up matches and the teams’ success. Overall, she is well-liked by her teammates for her easy going nature outside of the sport itself.

Going into high school, Robin also gained a renewed determination towards her studies. While she had been a middling student throughout her elementary and middle school years, she became motivated as she saw college looming over the horizon. Robin’s drive was also bolstered by her growing interest in a career in the veterinary or zoological fields, which prompted her to take more science classes. While she put in the work studying, Robin often approaches academics hubristically, self-assured that she’d get good grades. As such, she isn’t as stressed as some of her peers, although this does mean she overestimates her goals on occasion. Throughout high school, her grades went from Bs and Cs to As and Bs, with her highest scores being in her science classes. Her weakest subject is English.

The summer after her sophomore year, Robin discovered K-pop. She began listening to the group BTS, curious as to why they had been trending online. Robin found herself enamored with the high production value for their music videos, their dynamic choreography, and their stylish attire. She quickly joined the band’s following, and begane an ardent fan. Over time, she developed an appreciation of the genre as a whole, and becoming fans of other groups, the most prominent of which being Red Velvet. While she doesn’t create any sort of content for the fandom, she is content with fawning over the members and celebrating new releases and events with other fans. Along with some like-minded friends, Robin started the K-pop Club at her school during her junior year. The meetings usually involve discussions about the groups, screenings of old and new music videos, and attempts at learning song choreography.

Overall, Robin has remained relatively popular throughout high school. She is friends with a lot of the popular kids, having connections to them through the rumor mill, alongside her tennis teammates and other student athletes. Robin is quick to make friends in her classes as well, always being open to conversing with just about anyone. She especially enjoys gossiping, often delighting in telling others salacious stories. While a few people tend to dislike her for this, she tends to value the friendships she maintains over spreading stories rather than the ones she loses over them.

In her senior year, Robin received a couple of athletic scholarships for her performance in the tennis courts. In the fall, she plans to attend the University of Florida, and major in zoology.

Advantages: Robin is relatively athletic, having developed agility and stamina through tennis. She is also sociable, and can easily make allies. Overall, Robin is an optimist, and is good at keeping a level-headed in tense situations.
Disadvantages: While in shape, Robin lacks any raw physical strength, which alongside her smaller stature, makes her vulnerable to being overpowered by larger opponents. In addition, Robin tends to overestimate her abilities, and may fall short when she least expects it. She also may not be seen as trustworthy due to her gossipy reputation, and she is bad at keeping secrets.

Hi, I was THIS CLOSE to passing you through on the mystical one-shot. BUT

- Remove "drama" as a hobby? I feel that the way that this is intended is covered in "gossiping" as there's nothing specifically about her enjoying watching people fight. Also I mistakenly was waiting for a paragraph to show up where she starts acting in school plays.

- I'm also not sold on dance as a hobby since it seems folded in to the K Pop interest and there's not much mention of it.
