Welcome to Survival of the Fittest, a RPing board loosely based off of Koshun Takami's Battle Royale, with its own unique plot and spin on the 'deadly game'. We've been around quite a while, and are now in our thirteenth year, so don't worry about us going anywhere any time soon!

If you're a newcomer and interested in joining, then please make sure you check out the rules. You may also want to read the FAQ, introduce yourself and stop by the chat to meet some of our members. If you're still not quite sure where to start, then we have a great New Member's Guide with a lot of useful information about getting going. Don't hesitate to PM a member of staff (they have purple usernames) if you have any questions about SOTF and how to get started!

Let the games begin!

Whatever she had broken... it wasn't immediately fatal.

Keyword being 'immediately'.

Sandra struggled to stand up... or sit up... or at least not lay prone. She managed to right herself so that she was staring up at the sky. Everything hurt... She couldn't pinpoint where most of the pain was coming from.

She looked down at her body and immediately regretted it. Keeping her head up was making her dizzy.

So she stopped trying.

Her left arm still worked, as she moved it to wipe something wet from the corner of her mouth. The hand came away with a smear of red.

She felt... she felt...

God, she felt like such a loser.

This was it, wasn't it? Some higher power noticed her getting all confident about killing, so they let her slip and fall, just to teach her a lesson.

Well, lesson learned, she supposed.

She debated on whether or not to try to move. To get herself to a better resting place. After a few seconds, she attempted to pull herself backward, away from the building. That sent a bolt of pain shooting up her right arm and her torso.

So she stopped trying.

She coughed, more blood coming up from her lungs. The blood didn't quite clear her mouth, and so swallowed it back down, the coppery taste assaulting her tongue.

She blinked a few times. Her vision was starting to get blurry. She wanted to go home... but now it looked like that wasn't happening.

It was getting harder and harder to stay awake. That must be the blood loss, she thought. It hadn't really hit her until now.

A gurgle escaped her lips. Why was she still trying to fight for her life? She didn't know. Maybe she was scared of death. But it made no sense to struggle. She knew there was no way she was getting home. She knew she wasn't going to see the end of the day. She knew she wasn't going to live.

So she stopped trying.
