Welcome to Survival of the Fittest, a RPing board loosely based off of Koshun Takami's Battle Royale, with its own unique plot and spin on the 'deadly game'. We've been around quite a while, and are now in our thirteenth year, so don't worry about us going anywhere any time soon!

If you're a newcomer and interested in joining, then please make sure you check out the rules. You may also want to read the FAQ, introduce yourself and stop by the chat to meet some of our members. If you're still not quite sure where to start, then we have a great New Member's Guide with a lot of useful information about getting going. Don't hesitate to PM a member of staff (they have purple usernames) if you have any questions about SOTF and how to get started!

Let the games begin!

((Alessio Rigano continued from All I Have To Do Is Dream))

Now, Al was here. In the storehouse, where he wanted to go. Why? Because he could set up a trap here. He had no idea how to execute it or if he dared to climb up, but basically the gist was that storehouses had crates. Crates have lots of weight in it, right? And if you dump a crate on a person they might die. Or, at least get knocked out, unconscious. Then, Alessio could rob them. Or kill them, by dragging them to a dangerzone or so. He'll see. He also still had the fake gun as a plan B.

But the problem was that Alessio did not dare to climb up the crates. Not only because he was afraid of heights, no, it was also was dirty, there were webs all around, he was sure here were insects as well, or rats.

But he had to man up. He was not a whiny boy anymore. He had to climb up.

In ten seconds he would begin, he would climb up the crates.

Then, the time passed and he eventually tried to move up in some way.

Climbing a tree wasn't something he did for years. Climbing shelves and crates was something he never thought of doing before. But, it wasn't as hard and difficult as climbing a tree. You can't form a tree, but you can push crates, so that made things easier.

Al had the fear of the shelf crashing and that fear increased as the shelf made weird noises when walking on it. But in the end Al was in a position he wanted to be.

Okay, this was scary. He shouldn't fall off. Even if he would fall off, it wouldn't be deadly, he supposed. But it would hurt a lot.

He felt safe. Not only was he able to push the crate for a person to come in, so they would be surprised, but he could hide behind the crate too, if he did not feel like to confront the person.

He stared at the spider web next to him, though and hoped no spider would crawl to him while he waited.

((Noah Whitley continued in If We Could Have Tomorrow in Technicolor))

Noah looked over at the nearby building. He stretched his neck a bit, rubbing his free hand where the collar rested. After six days here, he still couldn't get used to the bomb around his neck. Whether he was standing, sitting, or lying down, it continued to bother him. Taking a day off from Survival of the Fittest hadn't done enough to assuage any physical discomfort he had. He was sure he was past the worst part of the cold-which he was starting to think he may have over-exaggerated-and could focus on what to do next.

The announcements had played, only offering some comfort. Maria, the girl he met on the first day, had died. A few people racked up more kills, while some were taken out. He was surprised to hear Nancy had died. He had felt a tingling sensation where she had shot him back on Day 3 when he heard she died. He wanted to feel happy, but it was hard to. Nancy dying didn't put him back in the same room as his friends, so it wasn't much.

Other than that, a library was torched, and Noah was still alive. After leaving the asylum, he had spent the night moving through some areas of the eastern part of the island. After sleeping outdoors, they had arrived at the storehouse. It looked large enough that there could be some familiar people inside, or at least stuff to use.

Noah approached the door, keeping a tight grip on Sawlaska.

"Okay. Like casual sex after dining in a Mexican restaurant, let's pray this doesn't turn into a huge mess," Noah said.

Noah pushed the door open and stepped inside. He slowly walked in, praying to god for something decent to happen. Whether it be finding a friend or a place to holdout, he'd take any bit of good fortune.

Alessio pulled out his gun and held it in his hand.

There was someone coming in there, the voice was familiar, but he couldn't recall who it was. He wanted to look who it was, but that would mean that he would need to stand up to look over the crate.

He wish he could just push the crate down, but he had no clue where his victim was standing.

So, that meant he had to stand up to scout, hoping that the person doesn't look up.

Would the real Al Rigano please stand up?

As he stood up to watch that Noah was not on the position he wanted him to, he felt a spider string on his face, doing his best to stay calm. Internally, he screamed, but externally he didn't say a word.

He ducked again. Just take some more steps inside, Noah.

"Okay..." Noah said, looking around. "Nothing but boxes and boxes all around. Just like at a gynecologist's office."

Noah slowly looked around. The storehouse was filled with row after row of crates and shelves. Noah was sure he could find anything in here: food, clothing, medicine, Jimmy Hoffa, DB Cooper, the list went on and on. He slowly walked over to one crate and looked at it. The writing on the side looked faded, so he had no idea what was inside. There was a lock on the box as well, so he couldn't even open it to see what was there.

Noah tapped the lid with Sawlaska.

"Great. Maybe there's a crowbar somewhere."

Noah looked around. It was pretty quiet in here. He started to walk down a row, hoping to see a crowbar lying around on the floor. It would be preferable to the rat droppings he saw, so he began to walk.

Words, words, words. As Alessio heard more steps coming, he put all of his weight against the crate so gravity could do its job.

Noah continued to make his way around the storehouse. There didn't seem to be anything useful in sight. Just more boxes that he couldn't open and no sign of any life. Noah stopped walking at one point in order to sigh at the disbelief of the storehouse's uselessness, when something loud came crashing down.

Noah opened his eyes and saw a crate come tumbling down and land right before him. Noah jumped back a bit, flailing his arms and hitting Sawlaska against a shelf.

"Holy fuck!" he cried out.

Noah looked at the crate on the ground. Had he kept going, the crate would have fallen onto him and he may have been flattened like a Looney Tune character. Noah grabbed the handle of Sawlaska with both hands.

"Okay, who's here?" he cried out, looking around the immediate area. "I swear, I do not want to deal with any assholes or ghosts right now, so it better not be either of those things."

Noah stepped back a bit. Sawlaska probably wouldn't work on ghosts, but he certainly didn't want to have to use it on some asshole either.

Alessio gave no reply to Noah's question. However, he took some steps forward to look at Noah from above. Unfortunately for Al, the steps were very audible, so he will give Noah a reply once he looks up.

Noah was not hit by the crate at all, and he seemed to have a weird looking weapon. Al had no clue what that thing was. But it seemed to be something Noah could cut someone with. Fortunately, Al was not in the reach of Noah. He stood above him.

So the figure in the shadows with a gun in his hand stared down at Noah like a gargoyle.

(Hannah Kendrickstone continued from If We Could Have Tomorrow in Technicolor)

The morning announcement as usual, had been upsetting. Junko was dead, and while their interaction had been strange, and there was no way she could have been sure it was safe to be around her, she hadn't wanted her to die. She didn't want anyone else to die.

Hannah had finally caught up with where Noah was going. Her ankle had started hurting again so she'd let him take the lead. She wasn't particularly happy to be back in this part of the island. The helipad with Tara was above the storehouse, and she remembered what state she'd been in when she'd met Noah there.

But it made sense to go there and look for supplies. She couldn't argue with that.

She opened the door to the storehouse. It was shadowy inside. Noah could be anywhere.

"Hey Noah, where'd you head?" she called out into the shadows.

"Okay, fuck all of this," Noah muttered to himself as the storehouse responded with silence.

Noah turned around and heard Hannah call out to him. He thought she was closer to him, but considering her ankle was hurt, he must have been walking faster than her thought.

"Hannah," he called out. "Crates are falling down here, and I don't think it's the kind of thing OSHA would deal with. I'm voting we bail."

Noah continued to look around. No one was emerging from the shadows to attack, but he moved a little away from the shelving unit where the crate fell. If everything was going to come tumbling down, he'd like to keep his distance from it.

Hannah? Hannah was with Noah. Shit.

Oh well. There he went. He told Hannah that they should leave. Well, then they should leave. That was fine to him.

Alessio should find a new victim to come. There were enough crates up with him.

So, he looked as Noah walked into the direction of Hannah. Oh, could Hannah see him from this position?

Her grip on the board tightened. Crates didn't just fall over by themselves. Someone had to be targeting Noah, but was it one of the killers or just some scared kid?

"Let's go then. There's no need to mess around with someone who just hides in the dark."

She shook her head. Wasn't that kind of what Junko had said to her though? She'd accused Hannah of sneaking around in the dark and now she was dead.

She managed to hate the island a little bit more in that moment.

((All GMing approved))

"Alright, let's get out and-"

Noah had turned back slightly to talk to Hannah when there was another loud banging sound. He turned back around.

"RUN!" he shouted.

Noah thought it was gunfire, but he saw it was another crate that had come tumbling down. Noah turned and ran towards the door. Supplies or no supplies, there was no point staying around if someone hostile was hanging around. Maybe it was just someone trying to defend themselves, but he didn't care to stick around. They wanted to crush him like they were in a fucking Wile E. Coyote cartoon, so he was prepared to be the Roadrunner and hightail it out of there.

Noah ran out of the storehouse. He hurried back in the direction he came. He hoped Hannah had done the same. They needed to get somewhere far away from the crazy types.

Well, better take a shot and throw down another crate. Al felt like Donkey Kong. But, more like the evil Donkey Kong from Donkey Kong, not the good one from Donkey Kong Country.

Well, Noah ran away, but what's with Hannah?

Whoever it was wasn't happy with her comment. She heard another loud crash from whatever was thrown around. Noah told her to run and she did, sort of. Her ankle protested so she kept a jerky half run back out of the storehouse. She let out a deep breath once she was outside. Now she and Noah could get back to somewhere without people throwing things around.

Or they could if she saw anywhere nearby.

She bit her lip. There was no way she could count on whoever had been inside staying there. They could come out and come after her any minute.

She started walking toward where she had met Junko. They'd just left the asylum, so Noah had probably gone that way. Either way she couldn't wait for whoever had been inside to come out and attack her.

Alessio hummed In The Shadows by Rasmus.

((Alessio Rigano continued in The show starts at five. Bring snacks.))

It was scary to go down the crates, though. It took some time.
