Welcome to Survival of the Fittest, a RPing board loosely based off of Koshun Takami's Battle Royale, with its own unique plot and spin on the 'deadly game'. We've been around quite a while, and are now in our thirteenth year, so don't worry about us going anywhere any time soon!

If you're a newcomer and interested in joining, then please make sure you check out the rules. You may also want to read the FAQ, introduce yourself and stop by the chat to meet some of our members. If you're still not quite sure where to start, then we have a great New Member's Guide with a lot of useful information about getting going. Don't hesitate to PM a member of staff (they have purple usernames) if you have any questions about SOTF and how to get started!

Let the games begin!

And I knew if I had my chance
That I could make those people dance
And maybe they'd be happy for a while.

"Remember, all of the information is there, except for the information that isn't there."

Pokemon Gold and Silver. Earthbound. Super Smash Brothers Melee. And countless more.

If for nothing else, we should be thankful to Mr. Iwata for making our childhoods and our lives incredibly, incredibly fun. He brightened our days, gave us something to connect to others with, and provided us with joy. Our lives would have been worse off if he hadn't been there, working hard on our behalf. That would have been enough, but Mr. Iwata had shown time and time again that he was very much human. He made his share of mistakes and sometimes this often led to his company taking a hit, but he always tried to make up for it, showing a true compassion for the consumer. Not only that, but he was a game developer - with a real background in software design - that was a CEO of not just any video game company, but the video game company. In a gaming industry awash with faceless corporate entities, he was an artist - one who truly cared about his craft and the people that experienced it. The last public statement he ever made was apologizing for Nintendo's lackluster presence at E3 2015 and that is a crying shame.

We salute you, Mr. Iwata. Thank you for everything.
