Welcome to Survival of the Fittest, a RPing board loosely based off of Koshun Takami's Battle Royale, with its own unique plot and spin on the 'deadly game'. We've been around quite a while, and are now in our thirteenth year, so don't worry about us going anywhere any time soon!

If you're a newcomer and interested in joining, then please make sure you check out the rules. You may also want to read the FAQ, introduce yourself and stop by the chat to meet some of our members. If you're still not quite sure where to start, then we have a great New Member's Guide with a lot of useful information about getting going. Don't hesitate to PM a member of staff (they have purple usernames) if you have any questions about SOTF and how to get started!

Let the games begin!

((Janet Claymont continued from The Right Thing...))

Janet's mood had turned negative in all ways possible after she left the Gazebo. During her trek across the island, she figured out why the hell she was actually here, and what this was all about. She spent a good part of her day cursing herself for being so naive that she almost went a full day without realizing that she was in a total war zone! This anger turned to curiosity mixed with dread when the announcement had come on the loudspeakers. Nineteen of her classmates were dead. "No way..." thought Janet. In the amount of time it had taken her to even get her bearings and figure out what was even going on, nineteen people had been killed! Fear set in as the names were listed off, but she was relieved to hear that Chadd was not on that list of the dead. She desperately hoped that he was okay.

After that, Janet just kept moving forward, not wanting to stop for any reason. She didn't even stop to check what was in her pack, marked G011, that had been placed near her when she woke up. She really had no idea what it was for, but she continued to carry it anyway.

When she finally hit her physical limit, Janet reached the northern cliffs. Slowly treading along, she saw two people in the distance. Upon approaching, she began to overhear what they were saying.

"Spelling out SOS, or even SU won't make them come. Because they're the ones who put us here in the first place." She heard one of them say, but what what did he mean by that? Who were "they"?

"Look, I know you probably don't want to hear it, but I think people need to know. Heck, I'll help you move the logs if you want, but the government isn't coming to get us."

The government? They had something to do with this? Now Janet really needed to know. She decided to ask the two of them. She stepped closer to where the two of them were, and spoke to make herself known.

"Wait, what do you mean? Are you saying that the government has something to do with this?"

(( Sorry for breaking post order, but I need to avoid inactivity.))

Before any further explanation happened, Imraan (She thought? She really couldn't remember.) Replied to her earlier question.

"Hey Janet. Uh.. well he is, I guess. I'm just trying to make a signal here."

"A signal?" She asked, "Would that even work? Do you think anyone would find this place? I mean, could we be that lucky?" I seemed pretty pointless to Janet at this point, but she was still getting used to this whole thing anyway, so maybe this was how others were dealing with it too. Maybe Imraan (once again, guessing here.) was correct and this would save everyone; well everyone who was still living, that is. Either way, he seemed to be talking to Cody now. It turned out that the other guy was the one who had said that this was the fault of the government.

Before she could delve any further into this, she heard the sound of someone collapse near her followed by a weak greeting.

This new boy who had arrived had a name that Janet had an easier time remembering. If here memory was correct, his name was David. She had seen him once or twice, but she couldn't remember anything notable. "Hi. Are you okay? You seem pretty exhausted." was the first thing she thought to say.
