Name: Niyah Atwell Gender: Female Age: 18 Grade: 12 School: Bayveiw Secondary School Hobbies and Interests: Reading; Poetry; Church; Psychology Appearance: Niyah is not the most beautiful girl in her class, but neither is she very hard on the eyes. She is of african-american decent. Her nose is wide, with flared nostrils, and her lips are thin and seemingly stuck in a permanent frown. She stands at a respectable 5'7, and weighs between 125 and 130 depending on the day. Her eyes are a dark brown color, with short lashes adorning them. Her ears are average size, but are usually covered up by her braided black hair. Her skin is a nice mocha color, and her nails are French tipped for style’s sake. She has a slim waist and lacks the ass needed to fill out her jeans. Her breasts are a comfortable C-cup. On the day of the abduction, she wears a pair of black jeans, and black flats, along with a white tee-shirt underneath a dark blue hooded sweater. She has large gold hoops on her ears and the bare minimum of make-up on her face. Her braids are pulled back into a low pony-tail. Biography: Born on November 19th to Jackson and Mary-Ann Atwell, Niyah has grown up in St. Paul, Minnesota her entire life. Her parents had respectable jobs, her father a district judge and her mother an ER surgeon, so Niyah has rarely wanted for anything in life. Growing up, she was never a very social girl, keeping to herself mostly, and her parents found their daughter to read at any chance she had. She was an early-bloomer, very good with her school work and continuing her love of books. Raised catholic, Niyah has very strong faith in God, but not so that her or her family are too conservative. She actually keeps a very liberal outlook on life, not letting the faith she keeps affect her relationships with other people. She respects other people’s beliefs, and expects them to do the same. Even so, she never really got along with other people, keeping only a close few people as friends, and ignoring the brunt of her society. During her sophomore year, Niyah took a creative writing class at Bayveiw, learning to love the art of poetry. Her teacher, Mrs. Jacqueline Edge, took an interest in her, and recommended Niyah for the Poetry honors class she taught to Juniors and Seniors. Niyah excelled in her writings, and even had a few of her poems published in local papers and literary magazines. A studious girl, Niyah took quite an interest in the psychology of people and their personalities. Taking a few courses in school and doing some of her own private research on the subject, she became enamored with the study, and decided to move to New York after high school and study her newfound interests there at the Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts. She was accepted into the school, and had been making plans to spend her summer studying the subject in more detail. Advantages: Strong-willed and Calculating, Niyah is one to never let herself be fooled by others. Her true strength lies in her ability to see past the masks and personalities that other students hide behind. Disadvantages: Her cynical demeanor gives her the air of a snob, which has led many to treat her with the famed cold shoulder. She is cold to those she doesn’t trust, and even those she does trust she is wary towards. She could very well end up alone. Edited by Mitsuko2, Oct 14 2009, 04:17 PM.

Hey there, Mitsuko! Wow, I never dreamed that I'd get the chance to actually review one of your characters! Pretty exciting... unfortunately, this is all wrong. Totally unrealistic, I'd never possibly meet a girl like this in high school, scrap the whole concept and start ag-... *snort* *chuckle* Hee... couldn't keep a straight face. Niyah is an amazing-sounding girl, not in the achievement sense but the creative one. In short, she's APPROVED for pregame, but just a few quick things to consider for V4's resubmission: -Niyah needs a concrete height and weight. Besides those critical details, I've got Niyah pictured in my head from your description. -There's one grammatical tic I've found, and only one (there might be others): 'Her skin a nice mocha color', probably just missing the word 'is'. So minor it's hardly worth mentioning, but I figured you would appreciate me pointing it out. -Finally, what nationality is Niyah, exactly? I'm thinking African-American, but the word 'mocha' (lovely descriptor, actually) leaves me with several shades and thus several possible nationalities. I'd love to know, since I think that it adds some culture to her. That's all for now, welcome back and welcome to the SoTF v4 pregame! |
