*Boy*friend. Yeah... she's cute and all, but I think there's no point looking in her direction. Shame though, Eiko is pretty sweet. It was still quite cute how Eiko thought Rosa meant something entirely different though. She supposed that the Japanee girl would get used to American culture in time. It had been similar, although Rosa imagined not quite as bad, when Rosa and her family had moved from Italy. Still, she had been younger, and she also had two siblings to help out, though of course they didn't always get along... "Alright, time to find ourselves somewhere to sit I guess," Rosa said brightly. Just because hitting on somebody was out of the window didn't mean she had to break off being friendly altogether. Rosa liked Eiko, even if the Japanese girl didn't like Rosa in *That* way. All the same, Rosa didn't drop her arms - it was comfortable, and well, there was such a thing as holding out hope right? Rosa looked to Felicia again to find the tomboy giving her another sidelong look, causing her to have to hold back from laughing out loud. Somebody looked to be window-shopping, and that somebody seemed also to be liking what they were seeing. I'm fine with that - so long as you keep it at looking. |

Eiko, meanwhile, was busy picking out items for breakfast, and there were indeed many to choose from. Biscuits and muffins here, pancakes and waffles there, and behind a counter in the distance she could see a frumpish cafeteria worker serving eggs, ham, and bacon to the kids standing in line. None of those last items looked particularly healthy; they practically glistened with grease. She was thinking she had to choose from the baked goods on a pan, which looked much better in comparison, until she spied the cereal dispensers in the back corner. She wandered over there, careful not to bump into other students crossing the floor, and examined the American brands. Froot Loops, Frosted Flakes, Cocoa Puffs, Trix, all decorated with colorful cartoon mascots designed to appeal to prepubescent kids. She was well familiar with mascots; you couldn't cross the street in Japan without being bombarded with a big, doe-eyed cartoon kid or animal eagerly and innocently advertising the latest thing. Even the Self-Defense Force had a mascot. She remembered being six and begging her parents for some of Piyo-chan's Lemon Chewing Gum. She loved that stuff as a kid. It took a while for her parents to teach her to dispose of it properly, though. Still, she didn't trust the colorful, cartoony cereals to give her proper nutrition on her first day, and so she turned to the mascot-less cereals at the end of the row, ultimately settling on Special K (the K was big and stylized, she noted), holding the bowl below the dispenser and pulling down on the handle until the bowl had almost filled with cereal. To the right of her was a different dispenser, this one with nozzles for 2%, skim, and chocolate milk. (Chocolate milk? Do they mean milk cocoa?) She filled her bowl with skim, and considered trying a glass of 'chocolate milk', just to see how it was done in this country. She decided against it, at least for now; it was her first day, and she didn't want to have too much sugar. She instead got a glass of orange juice from a second machine, which otherwise had brands of cola she didn't know. Satisfied with what she'd chosen, she grabbed a spoon and placed it on her tray, carrying it with her as she looked for Rosa and Felicia. |

Never the morning person, something quick and easy always hit the spot for a girl who wished that mornings never even existed to begin with. Skipping the options of eggs, bacon or ham, or even anything to wash it down with, Felicia nabbed a couple of lemon-poppyseed muffins. That was enough for her while she 'searched' for a seat, while she really just made a beeline for the place she always sat last year. Felicia prefered the table down at the far side of the cafeteria, as far away from the main exit as possible (though it was near a fire exit anyway, eliminating some sense of enclosure). If Rosa followed her as she thought the girl was, that was just fine. She HAD been invited by Eiko, after all. Eiko... where was she, anyway? Felicia sank her teeth into the first muffin while her eyes darted around the front of the cafeteria. That's where Eiko HAD to be, especially since it was her first day getting food. "Huh.... maybe I should've gone 'n helped her..." Felicia mumbled to herself after the first swallow of muffin. It wasnt until her second bite that she caught sight of the timid girl. "Yo, Eiko, over here!" She boomed, getting so excited in her call that she forgot her mouth was full and flecking tiny bits of muffin across and off the table. She quickly caught herself, brushing the unsightly crumbs off the table with her sleeve. Who had time to be polite this early? |

Rosa didn't tend to pay all that much attention to what she was eating, as she wasn't partiuclarly sensitive about her weight. All the same, there were points where you had to look at things and refuse. There was such a thing as too much sugar, ugh. Anyway, she snagged herself a bacon roll and a glass of orange juice from a couple of the various counters around the place and stuck them both on a tray before following along after the others. Arriving at the table Felicia had chosen, Rosa put her tray down and sat down. Before she started to eat though, she stretched luxuriously, both arms in the air again. It was nice an refreshing. And more than a bit provocative. After that, she gave Eiko a welcoming smile and took a couple of bits from her roll, after a little while, a thought occured to her. "So what classes are you taking? Will I be seeing you around much?" Rosa would have absolutely no objections to seeing the cute girl more often, although she wouldn't be particularly torn up if that didn't turn out to be the case unless Eiko did turn out to swing that way. Wow, and this isn't perverted or anything is it Rosa? Drooling over some girl you barely fucking know just because she's kinda cute. |

Eiko winced when she saw Felicia talk with her mouth full. So unsightly! Nevertheless, she walked over to the table where the other girls rested and sat next to Felicia, opposite Rosa. "I must admit, I wasn't expecting the cafeteria to be so spacious," Eiko told her new friends, not adding that her surprise was compounded by the place's location in a public school. It seemed like there was room for everything in this new country. "You have some food on your chin, Felicia-san," Eiko pointed out before beginning to eat her cereal. She had far more experience with chopsticks than she did with a spoon, but thankfully the new utensil wasn't terribly hard to master. After the first two spoonfuls, she was able to keep her cereal in it without spilling a drop of milk. She heard Rosa ask her a question, but waited until she swallowed before answering. "Statistics," Eiko replied, "Accounting, and a few other business courses I can't remember at the moment. And of course the core classes such as English and Social Studies. I'd say about half of them are Advanced Placement." She suspected that such a course-load might be a bit loftier than Rosa's or Felicia's or 95% of the student body's. "It won't be easy, but I believe I can manage it." |

There was a short struggle to avoid staring directly at Rosa's chest once more, but this time, Ms. Carmichael was quite a bit more successful. It was the beginning of the school year, after all, there was bound to be a short warmup time before she re-mastered the art of not oogling every well-formed rack in sight. With that said, Felicia also had to remember (painfully) that Rosa would generally let people know if she was interested, so the signs that Rosa lacked such an interest in her were apparent. "You have some food on your chin, Felicia-san," "Aw damn..." Felicia mumbled, pressing the crook of her elbow against her mouth, the sleeve of her sweatshirt wiping the mess away. "Sorry, that probably bugged the hell out of you." She began to work on her second muffin, a bit more carefully than the last while Rosa and Eiko talked. As timing would have it, the conversation about which classes the girls were taking came up between bites. As eager as she was, it was a good thing Felicia had an empty mouth. "Stats? Business classes? Eiko, what exactly do you want to be when you graduate? What kind of businesswoman?" Felica smirked as she set down her half-eaten breakfast and leaned in over the table a couple inches. The interest was well-founded; the two would have stats together, since statistics were definitely required knowledge if you wanted to be a lawyer. As far as the business classes went, probaby not unless they had something to do with law as well. Maybe public speaking... the thought of the girl who had been so timid thus far speaking out in a class like that definitely intrigued Felicia. Hell, I'd pay to see that. |

Wow, that was pretty heavy stuff. Eiko's workload sounded like it was approaching the level of Rosa's brother Ilario in volume. Still, Rosa doubted that Eiko had the same kind of pressure on her that Ilario enjoyed, since he'd almost been set on a pedastal above his two sisters. Maybe Rosa could persuade her brother to setup a meeting or two through their shared lessons... All the same, Rosa did have a couple of the same classes as Eiko. Although she wasn't exactly sure where she wanted to go after leaving school, Rosa had taken up subjects she felt would help her be successful if she ever inherited part of her father's business... then again, knowing Ilario Fiametta Junior, most of it would probably wind up in his namesake's lap... "Sounds like we'll be seeing each other now and then Eiko. I'm down for a few business courses too. Still, don't think I've got it quite as tough as you." Rosa smiled when Felicia spoke up, it was becoming clear that Eiko really was all business. But then, looking at how she was dressed, was that really particularly surprising? You could tell a lot from how somebody dressed - a judgement Rosa knew was frequently used on herself. Still looking and listening to Felicia, Rosa reached for her fork but fumbled it, dropping it underneath the table. "Ah fu- uh, damn! Be just a sec." Rosa ducked under the table, going onto hands and knees to retrieve the utensil. It wasn't exactly a hard task, but when she turned around to scramble back to her place, Rosa felt a telltale slipping around her thighs. Without looking, Rosa knew her skirt had ridden right up, and given how short it was... underwear ahoy... Um, uh... fuck. |

Eiko looked down at her cereal, pausing to come up with an answer. "I'm hoping to achieve the rank of CEO eventually," she told Felicia. "Although I'm not sure if I want to start my own business or take over a preexisting one. Both would be rather challenging options." After she answered, she took a few more bites of cereal, then paused as Rosa covered up a rather rude swear, then knelt down to pick up a dropped utensil. She almost made it back without incident, but then her skirt got caught and exposed some underwear. Eiko blinked. Did she really just see a real live panty shot? The only ones she'd seen before sprang from the imaginations of horny male animators. Anime. A thought occured to her. "Rosa-san, are you flirting with me?" |

I'm hoping to achieve the rank of CEO eventually... Felicia grinned widely... this was good. Not only did the girl she had met about 20 minutes ago seem to be a hard worker, she certainly had her dreams too. Sure, Eiko wasn't her usual type of friend, but the very fact that she was the new girl was practically enough in itself to get to know her. What there was to know wasn't bad, either.... it was fascinating, really. Perhaps the metaphorical 'chat room' (to liken it to Felicia's perspective) hosted by Eiko wasn't nearly as entertaining or provocative as the Rosa Fiametta room, but it was still fun in itself. Felicia didn't think much about the dropping of the utensil at first... just another mishap in a tired morning. "You need some help with that?" She asked rhetorically while Rose was still heading under the table. Dipping her eyes down, she thought about resuming the slaughter of what was left of her innocent muffin before Rose began to come back up... with a little bit less of her covered than before. The first initial thought was 'PANTIES!'. She would've backhanded her for thinking about it so blatantly, but Felicia really didn't care. It still wasn't eight o' clock yet, she could think about whatever the hell she wanted to. At least she managed to avert her eyes a little more than just staring straight at Rosa's butt (or whatever side was turned to her) while chowing down on the last bits of her breakfast. Things were looking good for her, anyway; she managed to survive a few ordeals without looking like a total pervert. Felicia made a mental note to reward herself if she didn't get in trouble just before... "Rosa-san, are you flirting with me?" If the gamer chick had been drinking anything at this time, that was the PERFECT moment for milk/orange juice/whatever to come spraying out of her nose in a display more grotesque and possibly humorous than the muffin-mouth-full incident. As it were, with a throat working to swallow down the last bite of moist baked goods, Felicia began to choke in laugher, slamming her sternum with her fist. Don't smile, don't smile, don't smile damn it!, she repeated like a mantra. Whether it was the mantra or the fact that choking hurts like hell, she managed not to grin widely at what Eiko had just said once the food had gone down... still, it was too perfect! Felicia finally brought herself to look at Rosa, rubbing her eyes which were still wet from choking. "Nah, you aren't the flirty type, right?" She meant it as a friendly jab, though she wanted to take it back as soon as she said it... Felicia inwardly feared that Rosa might take it the wrong way after having a bit of a mini-crisis. |

Face aflame, Rosa emerged from underneath the table, having yanked her skirt right back down again. It seemed that dresscode did have its practicalities after all... If possible, Rosa flushed even more when Eiko asked her the question. Well, what was she supposed to say? She had been flirting with Eiko - but not to the point where she wanted flash her panties at her for crying out loud! Rosa would have shot Felicia a glare for her comment, but Eiko would have caught that since the other were sitting alongside one another. Rosa forced herself to school her expression and do nothing. It might have been meant in light heart, but Rosa took it as a jab. Very funny Felicia. The Italian wasn't that great a liar, so she wanted to avoid outright denying Eiko's question, but it would be a horrible thing to admit straight up, wouldn't it? Who flashed their underwear to flirt? "Why would I, uh... do... that to flirt with somebody? I guess you don't know me that well, and I am pretty direct. But not that direct!" Hopefully, that would reassure Eiko, but the blush wasn't going anywhere, and Felicia's laughing fit earlier hadn't exactly helped matters. Rosa supposed the Japanese girl would learn about her reputation soon enough though... Maybe I should come clean. That was an accident, but the rest...? |

Eiko blinked and leaned forward a bit, taking a closer look at Rosa's face. "That was quite an evasive answer, Rosa-san," she said. After a few more seconds, she shrugged and went back to her cereal. She took a few more well-balanced bites of her meal. "To be honest, I wasn't expecting... yuri in your country. I was under the impression that America is a rather... sexually repressed nation. Not that my father is complaining." She giggled and took a sip of orange juice. "In all seriousness, though, I'm very flattered, Rosa. You think the boys at school will find me as attractive as you do?"" She didn't want to hurt Rosa's feelings too much, but the truth was, she didn't swing that way. Good thing, too; it would be hard enough being a CEO as a woman, but as a lesbian? She just didn't see it happening. |

I was under the impression that America is a rather... sexually repressed nation. "Sexually repressed? Are you kidding?" Felicia giggled. "Eiko, America.... well, it's one of those 'anything can happen' deals. There's a lot of g... um... 'yaoi' here too." Felicia hoped she had found the right word. As much as she frequented the internet, she really didn't spend a lot of time around otaku forums or anything that had to do with Japan at all. "Don't worry about it Rosa..." The lingering fear that she had upset the Fiametta still plagued Felicia and, the relationship between those two being one of 'not particularly liking but not particularly hating', she really wanted to keep it that way and not make an enemy for the whole of the senior year. At least there was no more breakfast to get in the way of her words, lazily propping her head up on one of her arms again. "Come to think of it, we're seniors in high school... I know what YOU'RE doing now..." Felicia glanced at Eiko, ever-smiling just to indicate who she was talking to. "... but Rosa, are you going to college or what? Thought about what you wanna do?" ((I'm usually not this short a poster... sorry about that. I'm making this one from a Bus Station in Boston. That, and this was all I could think of for Felicia to do.)) |

Oh great, now she probably does think I did that on purpose. Fantastic. Just fan-fucking-tastic. ... Tch, makes no difference anyway, Eiko's obviously not a lesbian or bi. She's such a cutie too... "It... depends if they go in for the same stuff that I do Eiko. I, uh, do think you're cute though." What the hell was Yuri anyway? Probably something Japanese and given the topic of conversation at the time, something to do with lesbians. Rosa was actually pretty surprised Eiko wasn't offended, since she was assuming the underwear flash had been deliberate. Eiko had seemed more... conservative than that. All the same... somebody had probably enjoyed the accidental slip. Rosa looked to Felicia and gave her a shrug of the shoulders. "I'm not that sure... I think I'll probably wind up inheriting some of my Dad's business stuff, so I might do something similar to Eiko, try and make sure I have good sense so I don't screw up all my father's hard work huh?" Guh, look at her smiling. I bet that's gonna be the highlight of her fucking day. |

"I apologize," Eiko told Felicia. "I suppose too much of my knowledge of America has come from my country's stereotypes. Not to worry, though. I'm learning from my mistakes." Then Rosa said something very interesting indeed. "Oh, your father works in business?" she asked her, turning to her with an eager smile. "What sort of company does he work for?" Rosa's father must have been an important figure in the business world, or else Rosa wouldn't have anything to inherit from him. Secretly, Eiko was celebrating her luck and seeing opportunities unfold before her. After all, it really was a matter of who you know, and Fiametta-san (-sama, she corrected herself) could be an excellent reference... |

"I suppose too much of my knowledge of America has come from my country's stereotypes. Not to worry, though. I'm learning from my mistakes." "Nah, don't be sorry, Eiko!" Felicia said somewhat energetically, finally beginning to completely wake up. "Sheesh, I wouldn't know what to do if I went to Japan... you're pretty brave." She gave another grin, but somewhat warmer; it was a grin that showed she really meant what she said. "I'm not that sure... I think I'll probably wind up inheriting some of my Dad's business stuff, so I might do something similar to Eiko, try and make sure I have good sense so I don't screw up all my father's hard work huh?" Felicia shared about as much interest in this subject as Eiko did. Even if her only foray into business would be completely on the legal side, or as part of an entire legal time (she nearly drooled at the prospect), there was still an opportunity to be made here. She leaned backed after having hooked her feet around one of the support bars of the table to stretch out. After having been slumped over the table, a nice stretch would feel VERY good... something the popping of her spine attested to. "A-A... Ahh..." she groaned happily, grabbing the lip of the table to help her straighten up again. "If you do inherit your dad's business, and if I ever manage to become a lawyer, keep me in mind, okay? I'd love to help you out if somebody decides to be stupid and sue ya." |
