| Welcome to Survival of the Fittest, a RPing board loosely based off of Koshun Takami's Battle Royale, with its own unique plot and spin on the 'deadly game'. We've been around quite a while, and are now in our thirteenth year, so don't worry about us going anywhere any time soon! If you're a newcomer and interested in joining, then please make sure you check out the rules. You may also want to read the FAQ, introduce yourself and stop by the chat to meet some of our members. If you're still not quite sure where to start, then we have a great New Member's Guide with a lot of useful information about getting going. Don't hesitate to PM a member of staff (they have purple usernames) if you have any questions about SOTF and how to get started! Let the games begin! |

Name: Madeleine Marie Smith Gender: Female Age: 18 Grade: 12th School: Bayview Secondary School Hobbies and Interests: Painting, Photography, and Poetry Appearance: Madeleine is a somewhat pretty lady, with long brown hair which she simply lets hang. She's rather short, around 4'10", and she barely hits 100 pounds. She's got brown eyes, normally covered by a pair of shades. The shades typically are down from her eyes so she can see things more clearly, but when people talk to her, she pushes them up so that they cover her eyes. On her own, she's usually seen with a pen on one ear, and holding a notebook or sketchbook while examining various things and making a few notes or outlines. As for what she wears, Madeleine dresses quite simply, usually wearing a pair of comfortable slacks and a modest blouse. Her color choices vary depending on the day, but she mostly prefers to wear red or blue. As for the shoes, she likes to dress for comfort with those, so they'll usually be either sneakers or a business casual sort. Biography: Madeleine was born in a middle class family, the first of two daughters, the other born two years later. Her parents were both lawyers, something she didn't agree with growing up, as it kept their time occupied almost all the time. Almost from birth, she was already greatly intrigued by the world and everything in it. Growing up, she would pick up toys and twist them around, seeing them from every angle. When she was six years old, she got a set of crayons, and, without further ado, proceeded to draw the world. At first, her pictures were rather sloppy and silly, as all young kids' works are likely to be, but she improved quickly. By the time she had turned 14, Madeleine could draw semi-realistic pictures of plants, people, and her dog, Shamus (although that subject wouldn't stay still for long. Most of the paintings were of him sleeping). Going to school, Madeleine loved to learn new facts about the world she lived in. Often, she would turn the things she learned about into stories and short poems, some of them very amusing. But curiously enough, whenever she thought about sharing her work with others, she just couldn't do it. In school, she'd seen some of the kids make fun of other kids for making bad works, and she didn't want the same to happen to her. Whether she felt her work was good or not, she couldn't risk having her works made fun of and called stupid. And so she kept them to herself, occasionally showing them to her parents, who were too busy preparing for court cases most of the time to give their opinions on it. All the way to high school, Madeleine remained a bit of an introvert. She would talk to people on occasion, but most of the time, she was scared to interact with anybody, because of the risk of being called an idiot or a fool. The only thing she really did at school besides going to classes (Straight B's with the occasional A) was designing sets for the drama club, and even there she mostly just sat by herself and painted. Even so, she had a talent for taking concepts on paper and turning them into reality through painting. She didn't think that anyone was complaining about her work, and she was right about that. Her sets were exquisite. She also occasionally took some creative photos and handed them in anonymously to the school paper. They weren't bad, either. Advantages: Madeleine is fairly attractive, and definitely a creative thinker. She also is friendly and non-violent, which could possibly get her sympathy from people. Disadvantages: Madeleine's obvious weakness is her shyness and fear of rejection. She has a tough time accepting a person, and she's not that strong. She is also most definitely not a fighter in the slightest. ((Add a little bit more to this in the areas I've requested and it should be good to go. I wouldn't mind seeing some more out of her high school/social life part, but I can't find the words to communicate what exactly I'd like to see there.)) Temporarily:

You describe her as 'friendly' and yet 'introvert[ed]'. This confuses me, but I think I know what kind of person you mean. I'll approve her for pre-game, but please find another word to describe her than 'friendly'. I think as you RP her, you'll probably figure out a better word to use. Of course, aside from that one word, it's okay. Until then, I'll toss on my Bruce Campbell.
