| Welcome to Survival of the Fittest, a RPing board loosely based off of Koshun Takami's Battle Royale, with its own unique plot and spin on the 'deadly game'. We've been around quite a while, and are now in our thirteenth year, so don't worry about us going anywhere any time soon! If you're a newcomer and interested in joining, then please make sure you check out the rules. You may also want to read the FAQ, introduce yourself and stop by the chat to meet some of our members. If you're still not quite sure where to start, then we have a great New Member's Guide with a lot of useful information about getting going. Don't hesitate to PM a member of staff (they have purple usernames) if you have any questions about SOTF and how to get started! Let the games begin! |

An introduction of my person to your person

Ok, firstly, I would like to see the characters of whom you're most proud of. Not the ones in which you've spent much of your time by searching for complex details and turnarounds, but the ones that you really love. You can also give me their names and I'l search them in the SOTF wiki, if its to troublesome to search the link. This idea was partly inspired by the following matter. Also, another thing, and the best way I can explain it is with the following paragraph. The reason to why I chose three characters is because I couldn't manage to dedicate myself to five. At first I would have desired to deal only with one, basig myself on the idea that I'd immediately develop a strong liking for my character and wish to help him as much as I could. Of course, it was impossible for me to do so because, I share the common feeling of wanting to make it to the ten, and deep down I finally yielded in to the fact that no matter how much I did for Vicente, he would most probably die. After all, that's all part of the feeling that I was expecting...so I decided to give a try to famous quantity as well. However, I decided that being my first game ever, I should really concentrate on other things that are more important than surviving, such as getting some pleasure out of this all. Then another truer idea stroke me that, however masochist it may appear to be at a fist glance, is realy the main reason to why I joined this forum. I wanted their lives to take place on their own. I wanted them to grow as independent as they could, even if it meant their death. I had silently vouched that I wouldn't intervene in the events for the sake of their lives, because then I wouldn't be able to see what it's like to have someone for whom you care down there, or someone with whom you identify. It was that emotion of concern what I was looking for...and sadly, death was part of it all. It would seem more realistic to watch, impotently, as those lives were thrown to the bin and left sort of...incomplete. The way things happen in real life, sometimes with no dramaticism, sometimes as a bad theatre play develops, with that disquieting sense of incompleteness and stupidity that predomines every time an unfortunate event happens. Anyway, I'm sure that some of you may want to tell the reason to why you joined, the reason to why some design 5 characters while others stick only to one. Its not that curious after all, its common as hell, in fact, but its a "commonness" that is constantly sort of ignored and taken as trivial. |

Severely proud of the two characters I have alive right now, actually. Particularly Roland, whom I originally designed as plain fodder but turned out half-surprisingly to be Damien's "foil" of sorts. |

Brandon Cuthburt I think is not only my most well written character, but he's my personal favorite. |

I'm very proud of how I portrayed both Mariavel Varella and Anna Dibenidetti. Anna was originally fodder, so how she turned out was remarkable. In my opinion, she is my most dramatic charecter. Mariavel has become quite the little phyco. And I'm proud of that. She is definatly a layered charecter, and I'm glad she became the way she did. Carmen and Zilya could've been better charecters in my opinion, but i did enjoy them. Penelope was fun to post as, and I'm sad she died. Melanie died to quickly for me to really like her, but she was still fun to write for. Jaime and Preston were fodder, plain and simple. Lavender's shining m oment was her death I think. I'm ghlad she died beutifuly |

It doesn't surprise me to see that some characters became something different during action rather than follow along your plans. I like all of my characters, although what I'm most worried about is about their personality. I don't want them to loose it in the middle of the game, sort of as the same way you loose your keys. In fact all three of them will have to die, though it would be interesting to see one of them accomplish much during the game. It would be increadible, for example, to see Cecilia or Charlie survive. I wouldn't really know what to do with them in order to keep them alive even after the end. |

I was proud of Debrah, and what she could've been. I didn't portray her well enough so in the end she was all over the place. |

I'm moving this topic to the "roleplaying discussion" forum because it has nothing to do with V3 planning and more to do with SOTF characters overall. |
