| Welcome to Survival of the Fittest, a RPing board loosely based off of Koshun Takami's Battle Royale, with its own unique plot and spin on the 'deadly game'. We've been around quite a while, and are now in our thirteenth year, so don't worry about us going anywhere any time soon! If you're a newcomer and interested in joining, then please make sure you check out the rules. You may also want to read the FAQ, introduce yourself and stop by the chat to meet some of our members. If you're still not quite sure where to start, then we have a great New Member's Guide with a lot of useful information about getting going. Don't hesitate to PM a member of staff (they have purple usernames) if you have any questions about SOTF and how to get started! Let the games begin! |

I have to pick on you Neal, just a little bit. I agree with most of what you're saying, but there were a few sentences that didn't even pertain to the topic at hand that sort of irk me. First of all, the comment about us killing off Vasjarai's character without his consent. First and foremost:
He'd gone inactive and he hadn't reclaimed his character. Explain to me why he should've been exempt from the rules that I hold everyone else to. Secondly:
Secondly, his character was rolled. He didn't start his death within three days. He didn't complete it within five. In fact, he didn't post at all from before he was rolled up until the time of his character's death. You guys know that if you don't do it when you're supposed to that it gets forfeited to another handler who WILL do it. So please don't give me this speech about how "his character was taken away without his consent", because you make it sound like he was actually doing something. He posted a grand total of three times, one of which was his character bio. Secondly, I'm gonna have to nit-pick at you a little bit about complaints regarding the staff-only forum. If you really want to know what's in there, I'll be more than happy to tell you. The moderator rules, the prize list, the weapons list, the character list for when we do rolls, dangerzones, roll logs so that everyone on staff can confirm that we rolled fairly, location data and questions about the V3 planning, lots of threads with me bitching about inactives, and... that's about it. Do you guys REALLY wanna see any of that junk? Most of it is just game data and schematics, and it's really not anything that interesting. We keep the V3 stuff private because who wants to know where you're gonna be and what's gonna happen in the plotline before it does? That ruins the fun of it. It's more entertaining when it's a surprise. Most issues concerning the game, we DO discuss on AIM. The staff lounge is basically just paperwork. I ask the other staff members (and I do the same myself) to log all their rolls and stuff in a chatlog so that we can make sure everyone is playing fairly. THAT'S what the staff lounge is. It isn't some mystical, magical, wonderful place where we go to hide away from the horrors of the members! *le gasp* It's basically just a big ole' junk drawer. |

I never said you did. Honestly I could care less about my kill count. I've killed off inactives too, and the way I see it, one really good well writen death is better than a bunch that aren't so good.
Yeah, I get all that, but he was still checking the site. You could have at least told him.
Actually yes. I would like to see a lot of that stuff. Not stuff that would compromise the RP but I would like to see what kind of talk is going on and some of the game data would be helpful. I've been keeping my own seperate record of kills and weapons and such, but if I had easier access I could improve on it a lot.
I never figured for a minute that it was ;). But you know what they say, one mans trash is another mans treasure. PS: Mitsu, you don't sound anymore like a bitch than I sound like an ass. PSS: Word. |

Can this seriously end now? It's been mentioned before that this isn't the first time something/someone has brought this up. It's annoying for the most part and honestly, really retarded. If you truely have a problem, take it up with those in charge and keep it off here. It just makes everyone pissed off whether they agree or dont. |

To Neal - I wasn't going after you personally. I was just getting a little irritated by the fact that I was getting fed up with people not listening when I suggest A because they've decided to do B and C instead. I'm sorry if I made it sound like a personal attack (which was never my true intentions), but I thought that we had already resolved the issue. Also, I'm not gonna call names either in this case as I have resolved matters with said parties as well. As for the inactives...I let mine go for too long, so in the end, I got what I deserved. That's the breaks, I can live with it...now, let's move on with it. And Baby_g - I'll have to take you up on that sometime. |

Neal, I love you man, but you're getting on my nerves. I shouldn't have to INFORM him that he's been inactive for a month. That's common sense. If he isn't capable of looking at his last post date, it isn't my problem. He's capable of checking the rolls just as well as everybody else on this site. Have I PM'd anybody else going "You were rolled, kill off your character!"? No, I haven't. It's not my responsibility to do that, it's the site members responsibility to check and see for themselves and then plan accordingly. Period. |

Yeah, I feel ya. I get on my nerves to sometimes. I like to mess with established systems. Just a little criticism on my part. No big deal.
I'm pretty sure it's been done for a few posts now. At least I got that impression. |

This is just sort of one of those problems that everyone's aware of but nobody is really willing to take any steps to fix. I can't enforce a rule that says you can't plan things out, or that you have to accept other people's ideas. There's a simple solution to this, but it requires everyone to compromise. You may plan out an amazing character, but after the dice rolls and weapon rolls and depending on what happens to him or her in the story, they may turn out to be a total flop. Then again, that's one of the Battle Royale themes, right? Everyone has natural strengths and handicaps to begin with. I know it's disappointing when you have big plans for a character and it falls through because the people around you aren't willing to work with you, but you've also got to take them and their plans into consideration when you're trying to plan something out with them. People are a lot more prone to agree when you ask "Hey, can I enter your topic?" than they are when you just straight up PM them with "I know you haven't been rolled and you're trying to work on this storyline with Handler B, but I really want to kill your character." Work together, compromise with one another, and go with the flow. Sometimes, things don't turn out the way we'd like them to. Sometimes, they turn out better. |

As a former staff member, I'd simply like to enlighten you all as to what v3 discussions we're going through...this'll make sure that all things are clear and nobody has to worry about plot anymore. SNAPE KILLS DANYA! On a more friendly note, anyone who complains about their lack of kills or brags about how many kills they have...well they shouldn't get any kills in the first place. |

*points at his monitor and laughs maniacally* I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT! I FUCKING KNEW IT! Now, onto the t-shirts...we could make a killing off of those. Thanks Slacker! All kidding aside, I could care less about kill counts and all that other nonsense. Seriously. If people need inflated numbers to boost their egos, then it's cool with me. But I'd like to see more people winging it instead of all this "we've been planning to cut up Bobbi Lynn's face for the past three months" shit. I can understand if RL gets in the way as it has a habit of doing...but holding out and scolding people for interfering when they just start to post something is just not cool. |

Me and Dodd had the "Let the chips fall where they may", philosophy for approaching v2, the problem with that is that people want there characters to go somewhere and that philosophy makes sure that a lot of characters are guranteed not to. Now, what I would like to see is people actually trying to kill unrolled people, it's fairly easy people and just requires some good RPing on your side to legally "force" someone into a certain outcome. |
