| Welcome to Survival of the Fittest, a RPing board loosely based off of Koshun Takami's Battle Royale, with its own unique plot and spin on the 'deadly game'. We've been around quite a while, and are now in our thirteenth year, so don't worry about us going anywhere any time soon! If you're a newcomer and interested in joining, then please make sure you check out the rules. You may also want to read the FAQ, introduce yourself and stop by the chat to meet some of our members. If you're still not quite sure where to start, then we have a great New Member's Guide with a lot of useful information about getting going. Don't hesitate to PM a member of staff (they have purple usernames) if you have any questions about SOTF and how to get started! Let the games begin! |

Hello and welcome to Survival of the Fittest! We're glad that you've taken an interest in our roleplaying forum and we hope that you'll join the carnage and chaos that is SOTF. First of all, I'd like to offer you a brief thank you for reading this introduction. We're always glad to have members who are observant and want to get to know as much as they can about the forum before participating. So, I suppose the first question I'll address is this one: What is SOTF, exactly? SOTF is a roleplaying forum based heavily off of Koushun Takami's Battle Royale story. There are some quite noticable differences, however. SOTF has its own unique storyline and unique villains. It is set in America and at present (V3), the students unknowingly set to be abducted and forced into the program are seniors from Southridge High School in sunny California. Mr. Danya is SOTF's notorious program leader, and he's been the leading villain in the game since the original Survival of the Fittest V1 took place in 2005. This is our third game, two have already run full course, so we here at SOTF would like to think that we're a pretty strong roleplay. We may not have the sheer amount of members that some other forums have, but what we do have is a great team of active roleplayers. We're a friendly group, for the most part (:P), and we're always willing to accept newcomers with open arms. Some of you may have been familiar with our original forum, located here, and you may be wondering what prompted the abrupt change in boards. To put it simply, during the initial stages of V2, we encountered a lot of troubles, namely, that all ideas for the forum required approval from the former head administrator and, unfortunately, her spare time was dwindling to the point that she rarely surfaced to give those approvals. In the interest of keeping the forum alive, we were required to move to a new board and set up a new set of staffers. We've been settled into this board for over a year now, and it's a place we all like to call home. Like I said earlier, we're a great little roleplaying community with very helpful staffers and members, and we're always looking for more people to join our ranks and engage in the killfest that is SOTF. That being said, we'd love to have you, so please look over the crucial points in the site (the rules would be a great place to start ;)) and we hope you'll join us for yet another round of Survival of the Fittest! ~From the SOTF Staff |
