Continuing on, and moving away from the beach, Adam continued his slow trek along the island. He'd been most places, and he'd still somehow been able to avoid any semblance of psychopath. It was a good fortune that he hoped he'd be able to avoid. The rain had changed to a light drizzle from a heavy downpour, which Adam was thankful for, as the heavier the rain was, the heavier that his pack became, soaked down with all of the water. It felt good to think of such a trivial thing to be concerned about. He was surprised that he wasn't more weighed down by all of the items that he was carrying, although the majority of them were some he considered crucial for surviving this sick game in the first place. Adam quickly ran a bit of an inventory on himself. He still had his shoes, and one layer of clothing. He missed his Leafs jersey, but in this downpour it was likely just as well that it had been lost. He carried a shotgun in his hands, one of the most powerful weapons in the game. He was lucky - the shotgun was still fully loaded and still had ammunition to spare. Suppose he did come across someone who wanted to kill him, he would be ready. In his pockets, he carried his wallet (somewhat of a force of habit, really, he hadn't thought to take it out and place it in his pack), and the small, yet powerful Mauser M2 that he had retrieved from the corpse of Andrew Lipson. His pack contained several small items, like his CDs, CD player, a taser, and a baseball bat that stuck out from the pack. He had grabbed the last two items off of the bodies of two more of his classmates, hoping that at some point they'd be of some use. He more or less just wanted to be well protected, and the fact that he had two guns more or less assured him of that fact. It was, however, his mind that he needed to keep sharp - someone with a rope, a chain, or even pepper spray could easily kill someone with a gun if they weren't paying enough attention. As such, Adam tried to keep his mind sharp, every so often taking enough of a bite out of the bread in his pack to drive away the hunger, and not even needing to touch the water to chase away his thirst. That WAS the plus side of rain, even if it made the area squishy, slippery, and difficult to maneuver in.

With nobody in the group with him, Adam's thoughts moved over the events of the game, most recently his discovery of his best friend's corpse. The discovery had hit Adam really hard, as Andrew was the kind of friend who Adam was always able to count on, no matter what. Now that he was dead, it seemed that a huge ally - was gone, just like that. To think that someone he knew was dead was a strange feeling, although death; especially in the last few days, was nothing new to him. He had seen his fair share of bodies, seen many people get wounded, injured, and even killed. It was the kind of experience that changed people, that much he knew. It was the reason that the families of soldiers always noticed a change in their loved ones once they came home from the wars that they fought in. Seeing such death, such killing...it could really do a number on a person. In essence, what the students of Barry Coleson High School had been transformed into were soldiers, some of them accepting their roles, most trying to fight it.

The problem that Adam saw, was that; and he hated to lose hope, he really did, there wasn't any actual way to get off of the island. Danya had people surrounding the island - that much was true, at least he believed it to be. The collars that they wore could be detonated at any time - Adam had seen this first-hand. It was sick, it really was. To think that at any point in time, their collar could start beeping, and then explode. With no warning. If Danya had been paying attention to his tirade, Adam wouldn't have been surprised to hear the beeping noise that would end it for him. He was glad he hadn't, at least he could feel thankful for that. It just seemed like it was a foolproof operation that Danya had going on - maybe the only way to get out truly was to win?

But it just doesn't seem like that made all that much sense. One of the early announcements had announced the death of someone named Sydney. Danya had mentioned that Sydney was the survivor of the previous program that his men had run. So why, he wondered, did he not get off the island at all? If he survived, then why did he have to participate in this game?

The only thing he could think of was that in the end, perhaps none of them were intended to get off this island at all. Perhaps that was what fate had dictated to them.

Well, I'm going to have to change my fate, then...

Stopping at the edge of the ravine, he looked down into the large crack in the earth. It didn't seem to contain any blood, any bodies. That was a relief. Sighing, he continued on, his mind racing yet still trying to keep any eye out for any other people that may come his way.

(( Coming from http://s10.invisionfree.com/SurvivalOfTheF...90&#entry566665 ))

Maybe we should have waited a little longer before leaving the warehouse…

Those where the thoughts currently running through the mind of Fredrik Hughes after having fallen for his third time in the slippery, muddy form the ground had became in thanks to the earlier downpour of rain, now no one than a drizzle of mist. Which is still bloody annoying…

Pushing himself up from the piece of muddy ground he currently lay against, using the sleeve of his jersey to wipe the remnants of mud from his face. Though he wasn’t very happy in the act of doing so, but his jersey was already far-gone to the mud. The chest area along almost completely covered in the dirty substance…

Sighing to himself in the disaffection of the current situation before pressing on, he figured heading toward the mountains would of course be the best idea at the moment. As that was the only clear world he had got out of Glenn, besides the whole ‘at the mouth’ which could hopefully be figured out upon arriving at their first location.

The dirt path having became a danger zone, he and his party of two… Jeremy and Heather who had came along from the warehouse group had thus been thus been forced into taking the much… less traveled, for lack of a better usage of words on his part, route.

Of course now that they had indeed came upon the edge of the ravine, he prayed dearly that he didn’t trip anymore because falling down something like that is nothing less than horrible. Gulping lightly as that light fear of heights begun to set in as he looked over the edge, he pulled himself standing upright and continuing along.

Really… If you think about, falling isn’t too bad. Really it’s what happens when you land that scares me… Fred thought lightly, glancing to his feet as he watched the pipe wrench in his hand swing about his side, he frowning at the thought of what Heater had said back at the warehouse about the wrench’s last owner.

“Oh, than Uriel's bottom Jaw was blown off with a flashbang in the mouth.”

Shuddering lightly, he shook the image from his mind and focused on more important things like, finding out where Glenn as, and the hell away from this large crack in the earth. Though still he just didn’t want something like what happened to a fellow schoolmate of his too well, befall him.

Glancing upward from his thoughts he was finally allowed to take in the fact that he wasn’t alone (well of course he wasn’t alone, with Jeremy and Heather he supposed it be better to say they weren’t alone) as no ten feet before them was another person.

Now Fred’s thoughts completely went into overdrive over who this could be, did they go to Barry Coleson, if so did they share a class? We’re on the soccer or hockey team together? Had he ever done something to make this person mad? All this was currently trying to check out in his mind already.

And this was before he noticed the shotgun.

Because when that happened, panic set in and everything starting going faster than before because he had heard of a shotgun-wielder with red hair in the announcements (though really if you tilted your head just right, the current person’s hair reminded him more orange than red…)

Why am I thinking about this! Someone with a shotgun is standing right in front of you. Finishing yelling at himself, he glanced oddly at the wrench in his hand. Well the guy hadn’t seen them yet, and as long as he didn’t turn around before they had chance to figure things out his plan could work it’s not like they could runaway, anyone with hearing could hear that… so really all he had was his plan.

Lifting his wrench into the air somewhat, he gulped again… “Oi! Don’t move and hands up… or I’ll…” He trailed, as he looked at his wrench with a sigh. Adding somewhat quieter, “Or I’ll bloody shoot… yeah, I’ll shoot.”

Even if he didn’t have a gun, the other person couldn’t see this… yet and Heather did have a gun so he wasn’t completely lying.

Heather silently followed Fred for lack of better words towards a giant crack in the earth.

“Oi! Don’t move and hands up… or I’ll…"

Heather looked up at whom Fred was thretening to see the figure was holding a shotgun..

"Oh...shit"

Heather pressed a switch on the gun to eject the clip and slid the clip that she had in her hand into it. New clip in the gun, Heather raised her glock 17 at the boy holding the shotgun.

"Put down the shot gun, you dont have to give it up but you have to put it down."

Heather wrapped her finger around the trigger jut in case the boy tries anything.

Adam was almost completely startled at the intrusions. Whirling around in surprise, he wiped the water off of his face and sized them up and down. It was true that'd he'd gotten lost in his thoughts and hadn't seen any of them come close to him - which if they proved to be players, would be a very, very serious mistake. As of yet, however, Adam was uninjured, and that was most DEFINITELY the way he wanted to keep it. Although his mood didn't dictate it, he figured that the best way to react to these new arrivals, two of which who apparently just threatened to shoot him, was to just smile and be himself. His...normal, happy self, that is. Today, having a gun pointed at him was most definitely not something he liked seeing happen, yet it had happened already about four times in the past few days.

Great...wonderful...SHIT...

Looking the new arrivals up and down once again, he was surprised to make out the features of what could have been one of his buddies from the hockey team. To be honest, he wasn't sure. He was always embarrassed about the fact that he couldn't really tell the Hughes brothers apart. They always found it most humourous, and Adam, always ending up feeling somewhat absurd not being able to tell the difference, just called them both 'Hughes'. It was somewhat of a joke between the brothers and him, and he was, in a way, glad that someone he knew was part of the group that stood before him.

Holding his shotgun in one hand, he smirked at the new arrivals, and couldn't help but laughing at the situation itself.

"Hey, hey...guys, guys...let's not get too hasty on those trigger fingers, eh? I'm not out to shoot anyone, that's for sure. Unless his name is Danya and he's followed by a fat cloud of cigar smoke."

Looking at the group in front of him, he nodded with a smile to Fred.

"Hughes...what's up, bro? Been awhile, for sure. You guys, uh, you don't have to shoot me, eh? You haven't heard my name on any announcements yet, right? So you don't have to worry about me."

His smile faded a little.

"But no offense, even if you wanted me to give this up, it ain't happening. Not when there's fuckin' psychopaths like Jacob Starr wandering around."

Posted by: brokenCODA Aug 4 2005, 06:07 PM
Fred had to admit, he was a little more than relief to see that the person before them wasn’t who he had figured it to be… and instead someone he knew from school. “Oi mate…” He muttered softly, dropping his pipe wrench to his side glancing off sideways at Heather and Jeremy.

“Oh, he‘s alright. He’s a buddy of mine from school.” He mused lightly, turning back to face Adam with grin. “Sorry about the whole stick up thing… I saw red hair and a shotgun and figured you for Faust, who has been in the announcements these past few times so I thought the worse.”

Sifting his pack about Fred grinned a little more as he was addressed as just Hughes, “Still haven’t found out which twin is which? You should be able to tell I’m Fred by my…” He muttered, touching his jersey though as he looked at it discovered you couldn’t really tell it was a Manchester United jersey anymore. The bright fabric stained with dark mud… not to mention his arms, and legs, as well as smudges covering his face. “Well what’s left of my Manchester jersey that I’m the better looking one.”

Sighing lightly, he pressed a hand to his forehead as he took a step toward the other boy. “Speaking of twins, you haven’t seen Glenn have you… or anyone from the school that isn’t well dead or well crazy… Before I met with Jeremy here I was hiding out in the woods, of course those bastards made it a danger zone so yeah, but everything was kind of quiet out there, and I haven’t seen anyone besides a couple of familiar corpses. Though before I left the warehouse, Umi, and Aiden with a couple of other people showed up... so that's been it for me."

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Aug 4 2005, 09:21 PM
Adam couldn't help but grin as he looked at Fred's muddy jersey. "What, you and your MUD United jersey, hm? Seriously dude, you can't tell much of what many people are wearing in this mud. 'course, I decided to take a bit of a swim, so I'm nice and clean. But..." He shuddered a bit at the discovery he had made after his swim. "...let's not talk about that. Ah...let's see. I was actually looking around for my little group of friends. I was with Amanda Jones, uhh...Madelaine S..Shirohara, I think?, some big wrestler dude named Marcus, and, uh...Hawley Faust."

Adam could almost see the looks of the other kids changing to one of concern, but he held up his hands.

"Yeah, Hawley...one and the same as the one you've heard on the announcements. But, uh...I've gotta tell you...August and Terry, he had no choice. They attacked us, and he did what he had to do. As for Venka...that was just an accident. He got shot, gun went off...and, uh...yeah."

He shook his head as Fred asked about his twin.

"Glenn? Nah, I haven't seen him at all. I can probably give you a good idea as to who's dead and who isn't though. The hockey team, we're dropping like flies, dude...heh." Adam sighed loudly, trying to put some form of lightheartedness into what he was about to say, but there being no real way to do it.

"River Garraty committed suicide, far as I can tell. He was with us one minute, the next he ran screaming into a danger zone. Let's see...Alan Shinwrath is dead. Helena van Garret is also dead, I stumbled into her body. Cole Hudson from the newspaper, he's gone. Um...and my buddy Lipson, he's gone too."

At the last name on the list, Adam shook his head a bit. The fact that his best friend was dead hurt. It hurt a LOT.

Adam looked at the three of them and shrugged. "So what about you guys...you staying...going...? And Fred, who're your travelling companions? Sorry to say, girls...but I don't recognize either of 'ya."

Heather bitterly frowned at the boy's unusual behaviour in this situation. Lowering the Glock as Fred and the boy talked

"My name, It's Heather, and Silent Bob over there is Jeremy"

Heather said pointing back toward Jeremy.

"so who are you?"

Posted by: brokenCODA Aug 5 2005, 01:21 AM
Fred couldn’t help but feel somewhat sick over all that had died – so many he had walked down the same hall with back at school, or had been on the same team as. Brushing a hand over the stained jersey again, he found himself lightly frowning at Adam’s comment. “Mud, or clean still got to show my support, you know?”

Swinging the arm that held the wrench he lightly nodded as Heather introduced herself, and Jeremy hoping, no praying that Heather wouldn’t take the attitude she had taken with Adam that she had taken with Garrett, and then again with Umi.

“As for deaths that I know of, Heather’s informed that Uriel Hunter bottom jaw got blow out by a flashbang in the mouth. And Jacob Starr was hurt with some bullets to him, speaking of Jacob… Another guy named Garrett came by, wearing Rommel’s jacket. Seems Jacob killed the little firecracker, bloody git swear if I come across him.” Sighing again, Fred allowed his body to relax some before standing upright again.

Blinking he gave an odd look toward Adam at the mention of Andrew, “I thought he didn’t come on the trip…”

(continues from http://s10.invisionfree.com/SurvivalOfTheF...90&#entry566665 )

Jeremy nodded and sia,d "Yeah I'm Jeremy." Jeremy was relived that Fred knew this boy. It would have been really pressing their luck if they matched up with a boy with a shotgun, that's not what Jeremy wanted. Standing there he thought about what was happening in the warehouse.

Had it erupted into a fight yet? Or were they working together. it didn't matter now, maybe they had another ally to help find Fred's brother. If not then they know it's at least 1 less person on this island playing the game.

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Aug 5 2005, 02:21 AM
Adam shook his head with a scowl.

"Nah, he didn't. Of course, did that stop those fuckers? No. They kidnapped him. Believe it or not, the fuckers kidnapped a kid in a wheelchair to play this sick game. As saddening as it is, I'm not surprised he's gone. Fuckin' sucks though. The guy was like a brother to me..."

Realizing what he had said after he had said it, Adam blushed intensely. Fred was looking for HIS real brother, so he was sure that how he had felt looking for his best friend was probably nothing as compared to what Fred must have been going through.

"Speaking of brothers...if you're looking for yours, I might as well give you a hand, if you'd like. I'm looking for some people myself. Mainly, um...Amanda and Hawley."

Adam blinked though as he took a few mental steps backwards.

"Hold up one second - Uriel Hunter is dead? Fuckin' eh, man. That little bastard threw a couple molotov cocktails at Hawley and I. Burnt up my Leafs jersey, actually. I suppose I can't kill him again if he's dead though. Damn." He grinned. "I wanted retribution for my damned jersey. Cost me 'bout a hundred bucks, you know?"

Looking at the other two, he blushed a little and held out his hand towards Heather. "Shit, sorry about that. Name's Adam. Adam Dodd."

He shrugged, and looked into the deep ravine.

"So, you guys want a hand?" He smiled.

Posted by: brokenCODA Aug 5 2005, 04:37 AM
Fred’s frown kept as he listened to Adam say about what had happened to Andrew, he glancing down toward his feet lightly wondering if they could be able to find Glenn in time before some psycho found him first. And his brother would end up hurt… or even worse…

Biting backs thoughts of the worse, he couldn’t help the chuckle that escaped him at the story of what had befallen Adam’s dear Leaf’s jersey, and hearing that he supposed a bit of mud wasn’t as bad as say, if it had been burned. Though at Adam’s offer to join up in there little rag-tag group, he found himself quickly nodding his head.

It wasn’t that he didn’t trust Jeremy or Heater, quite far from it… it was just for him having someone around who was at least familiar helped calm his speeding nerves, “You’re more than welcome, we currently are quite differing in the weapon’s department. I mean, Heather’s got herself a gun, and a GPS scanner. Jeremy here drew a sickle, while I was unfortunate enough to draw some bloody nunchaku, though now in thanks to Heather I currently have his pipe wrench, and a couple of flashbang grenades on hand as well.”

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Aug 5 2005, 11:53 PM
Adam nodded to Fred, all the while glancing at his companions and sizing them up and down. They didn't seem like the most battle-ready bunch, but it seemed like they WERE ready to go and should be able to defend themselves if necessary. He smiled a little smile, and without wanting to reveal all that much, he chuckled slightly.

"I'm, ahh...well, I'm fairly well-armed. You needn't worry about me."

Looking again into the ravine, he shrugged at Fred.

"So whereabouts have you guys been looking? D'you guys have a plan, somewhere you'd think that he'd think to meet up with you?"

Posted by: brokenCODA Aug 6 2005, 05:45 AM
"I don't think any of us where worrying about you, we can see that your quite well-armed." Fred said flashing a grin, as he removed his map and flipped it over looking for their current location, and to where the mountains are.

"At the moment we're heading to the mountains, I managed to get Glenn on his cellphone though it was all kinda fuzzy and only got 'mountains' and 'at the mouth' so I figure heading the mountains would of course be the best opition, that and Heather has a GPS scanner so that also helps in our little search."

Posted by: Kuze Aug 6 2005, 06:17 AM
Hearing that Fred's brother was at the mouth of the mountains Heather pulled her map from one of her vest pocket and looked it over.

"Well the mouth of the mountains could be at the mouth of the caves, I'd say we head there"

Heather pointed to the caves that were nearby, hoping that Adam wouldnt blast them in the back.

Posted by: Theseus Aug 7 2005, 12:26 AM
Jeremy stood there, Adam was apparantly well armed. He wondered what that meant exactly, but he didn't care. If Fred trusted Adam, then that was good enough for Jeremy. He wouldn't argue with any of them, they were his ticket out of here, people he could trust and find a way out with.

Still holding on to his sickle he listened to what Heather had said. Then he said, "That sounds about right...caves..." He knew they would find him, dead or alive, especially with Heather's GPS.

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Aug 7 2005, 03:40 AM
Adam cocked an eyebrow. "Caves, eh? Well, yeah...I guess that'd probably be the best bet to start off with. Especially if he said something about mountains."

Poor Fred, the poor guy's got to be worried sick about his brother. This game really does tear families apart, huh? I suppose that's the misery of it all. Nobody will have a normal life after this again, and most of us may be lucky to even escape with ours.

Forcing a smile on his face, Adam guestured to his companions to lead the way. It wasn't that he didn't want to go first, it was rather that he honestly didn't know which way to go, and following his sense of direction was likely going to get them lost more than anything.

"Alright guys. Let's do it. Lead the way..."

Posted by: Kuze Aug 8 2005, 07:08 AM
Heather shrunk back at the announcement telling everyone that she blasted Ureil's lower jaw off, the other thing that she noticed is that The Caves were a danger zone.

"uhmm lets try the Hillside now"

Heather looked at her map and pointed in the Direction thta she thought that the hillside was in.

"Adam, your in the front "

Posted by: Theseus Aug 8 2005, 02:23 PM
Jeremy sat there in awe of what had hapened on the announcements. He listened to what happened with Heather, and the other students but it was the fact of what had been said over the speakers. Then there was the fact that 3 of the terrorists themselves would be coming on the island.

He listened to what Heather said, they were going to the hillside. But there was the fact of the 3 men. "What are we going to do about those 3 men?"

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Aug 8 2005, 06:06 PM
Adam listened with a grim expression on his face. So many names, so many people that he knew - least of all, his best friend. As Danya concluded with his little 'surprise', Adam shook his head in disgust.

"It's bad enough that this ball-fuck has to put us on an island and order us all to kill ourselves, but now he's putting some goddamned super-soldiers with us here? What the fuck, man." Adam shook his head and spit into the dirt.

Looking at Heather, and then at Jeremy, he sighed.

"I suppose that with the soldiers, we'll have to deal with them when the time comes. Hopefully, they'll make a mistake, or fuck up, or something. I mean, hey they're human too, right? You never know, they could know a way to get off the damned island."

With a slight frown, though, he looked at Heather.

"Look, I've already told you, if I'm at the front of the line, we probably aren't going to get to the place that we want to go. The Hillside cliff? How the hell should I know where that is? I don't. So unless someone starts walking, we sure aren't gonna go anywhere. All I'm going to do is get us lost. Trust me on that one."

Posted by: Kuze Aug 8 2005, 08:35 PM
Heather motioned towards Adam's Shotgun with the hand that she held the Glock 17.

"What i ment was your in front next to whom ever is leading"

Heather sighed and started walking towards the hillside, holding the map in one hand and her Glock in the other.

"You guys coming or what?"

(possibally continued at the Hillside cliff)

Posted by: brokenCODA Aug 8 2005, 11:14 PM
Fred stood silent as an odd set of voices began echoing out over them, cocking a brow in confusion over what all this was even about. But the shock sounds coming from them soon led him to guess that all that had been by mistake, and Mr. Danya soon proved that moment later.

A flood of relief passed over when Glenn’s name wasn’t mention, though an odd sadness was still there hearing all the names of those he knew. Glancing off to Heather, having remembered hearing her name in connection to Uriel’s death that she had mentioned back at the warehouse.

The little surpise he talked about set panic running through him like a wildfire as he glanced off to Jeremy when he questioned what they would do about the three, he nodding his along with Adam’s statement. “When the times comes, it’ll come till then we can pray that we all can run like bats with ‘ell lapping at it’s bloody wings. Cock-eyed bastards… the lot of them.”

He fell silent again listening as Heather decided to change their course to the hillside cliff, after all the Caves had just became a danger zone so hopefully Glenn would get out of there before something bad befell him. Though as she began walking away, questioning them if they where to follow Fred found himself shaking his head in his place.

“No… I don’t think going there would be best, At least for me. Call it twin-sense if you must, but I just don’t think Glenn’s going to be there.” Bringing his map out, he overlooked it, pointing to a place on it. “I’m going here to the gazebo..."

Posted by: Kuze Aug 8 2005, 11:27 PM
Heather turned around and looked at Fred like he was fucking insane.

"You've got to be fucking insane Fred, there was screams coming from there and the fucker could still be there."

Heather walked back to Fred and grabbed him by the sholdiers.

"Listen to me Safty in Numbers Fred, Expecially with Adam with us just come on man"

Heather ley go of Fred's sholdiers and started to walk back in the direction that she came from.

"Now Come on"

Posted by: brokenCODA Aug 9 2005, 12:07 AM
"No you have to listen to me, this is my brother we're talking about here. He just isn't someone, this is my best friend... my twin brother." Fred explained lightly as he kept his spot, the map shaking lightly as his hands did as well. "I feel that this isn't going to lead us anywhere..."

Sighing somewhat, he eyed Heather once more holding his hand out. "Please, let me see your GPS then."

Posted by: Kuze Aug 9 2005, 12:59 AM
Heather walked back and reluctantly handed the GPS scanner to Fred.

"I'm just saying its for your safty Fred, If you run into Jacob or another nut job I dont want to feel responsible for your death "

Heather looked Fred square in the eyes as she said this, Being as he had no gun or useful weapon.

Posted by: brokenCODA Aug 9 2005, 01:19 AM
“And I don’t want you to feel responsible if that happens, but I don’t want to feel responsible if something happens to Glenn and I haven’t found him. I’ve been with him since we where born, and if he dies I’m going to be ripped in two and if that happens my safety will be the least important thing at that point.” He explained, taking the scanner into his hand as he overlooked the areas of the shown near the mountains.

Looking between both the GPS and the map, he looked toward the group. “Alright, there’s no one at the lookout point, or at the hillside cliff. But, from what the radar tells me… there’s three people up on the hill where the gazebo lays, we don’t have to walk out in the open and yell “'Ey you slimy prats look here!” there’s some woods near there. There’s a much of a chance this could be him, as there is not but we don’t have to make ourselves known.”

Posted by: Kuze Aug 9 2005, 01:55 AM
Heather looked at the GPS scanner and shrugged

"Ok we'll go with your plan To the Gazebo"

Heather pointed ot the top of the mountain and placed her palm out to get the GPS back.

Posted by: Theseus Aug 9 2005, 03:06 AM
Jeremy nodded and said, "I'm going wherevr your going Fred, you know that. So if it's the gazebo you want to go to, then I'm in." Jeremy looked towards the direction they would head. He gripped his sickle tighter.

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Aug 9 2005, 04:58 AM
Adam shrugged, and looked at the group. Seemed like the place to go was changing a bit, and while Adam was tired, a gazebo - in his mind, anyways, generally had little benches to sit on. As long as the three at the gazebo weren't completely dangerous, it shouldn't be that much of a problem.

"Well, then...so are we settled? Is it the gazebo? A little out in the open I guess, but hey...I'm all for finding your brother, you know?"

Adam held up one hand.

"So which way do we go?"

Passing Heather’s GPS back to her quickly he quickly brushed by her, after having heard she would have been the death or Uriel without Jacob’s stupid mistake or not… his thoughts of the sarcastic, easily angered girl had slowly begun to change a bit.

Glancing back at Jeremy he grinned, “Thanks for those words mate, they mean a lot. I don’t like to think all my ideas, are and I quote making me ‘fucking insane.’” He mused, passing Heather another look over his shoulder.

Replacing his map into his jeans he lifted his hand pointing off to a rather high hill off in the distance, a small building of sorts able to be made out in the cloudy weather. “That’s where we’re heading.” Fred said as he begun walking again, hoping that those at the gazebo… hoping that one of them would be his brother.

Heather watched as Fred brushed by her by and walked off with Jeremy to the Gazebo leaving her and Aam to bring up the rear.

"Hey, Adam mind if we swap weapons for a bit, You get the Glock and I get the shotgun for a while"

Heather said as she offered the handle of the Glock 17 towards Adam and dug into her pocket for the Clipas and the box of 9mm ammo.

"So do we have a deal"

Posted by: d0ddi0slave Aug 11 2005, 02:47 AM
Adam looked at Heather with a look of confusion on his face. Was she serious? Did she seriously expect him to trade a pistol for a shotgun? Sure, Hawley had done the same but Hawley wasn't able to hold the shotgun anymore at all. Adam himself was completely uninjured, and the shotgun - being probably the most powerful weapon around, was not something he planned on letting go of.

With a slight grin that had the underlying tones of an 'are you fucking insane' look, he slowly shook his head at Heather.

"Sorry Heather, but I have a pistol already. And, uh, no offense, but this shotgun isn't leaving my hands until they're cold, and dead. And damnit, my hands may be cold, but they sure aren't dead, and it's my intention to keep it that way...so don't get any ideas or anything, eh?"

Adam winked at Heather, and although he was putting up his usual front, he knew that keep inside that this was a girl whom he most definitely did not trust. He wondered if Jeremy and Fred did either. Shrugging to himself, he wandered over, intent on catching up with the other two.

From where he was walking along the man-made path near the ravine with Jeremy, he turned walking backwards for a few moments watching as words where exchanged, unable to hear from where he walked. After a while he turned back forward and looking off to where the gazebo stood in the distance. The sounds of gunshots, and screams that filled the air every so often chilled him to the bone…

He could only hope that none of this would end in his or even his brother’s death before he was able to find him, hoping more that his idea of going to the gazebo would be a good idea. What if he was wrong about the three figures that had been blinking on the screen of the GPS device.

Sifting the weight of his bag, he picked up the pace of his steps… Even so I have to try.

Heather shruged, Nothing she could do about Adam not giving the gun up, Hell she wouldnt let Fred or Jeremy grab hers. Readjusting her grip on the Glock she walked towards the Gazebo tring to catch up with the three.

"Maybe I shouldnt have skipped Gym"

Heather mumbled as she followed Adam at a distance, up the man-made trail towards the Gazebo. Jeremy was already there and Fred wasnt far behind him. Leaving Adamn and her bringing up the rear...the far rear.

As the Gazebo got closer voices became more audible, Including one that was vaugely familiar.

Jeremy wondered why Heather wanted Adam's shotgun, well it was obvious but he would have really been surprised if Adam excepted. Jeremy followed them trio to the Gazebo and heard voices up ahead, but he saw things up ahead that didn't look to promising.

Hopefully Fred;s brother would be up there, and alive. So Jeremy followed the group up holding his sickle.

Glenn’s paced run began to slow down as he reached the bottom of the hill, as his feet hit a man-made a path running along near a large gap in the ground. The bottom unable to be seen as his run halted completely, bending over at his waist as he rested his hands on his knees breathing in as much air as he could at the moment.

Standing upright again, he kept his place waiting for Marie to catch up with him as well. His eyes casting upward to the top of the hill as a couple of gunshots rang out in the air, his body jumping lightly with each round fired off.

The very last thing that the far-behind Adam Dodd expected to come from the gazebo were gunshots, yet that was exactly what seemed to flutter through the air. As more shots sounded out, Adam opted to stop, and backpedal the other way. Shotgun or not, he needed to find Amanda, and being as there were only three up at the gazebo, it was unlikely she'd be amongst them.

Yeah, 'kay...fuck this...I've gotta look somewhere else.

Mentally saying a prayer (which he found odd, he wasn't religious) for Fred, he glanced over at the right and began to run. As he took his first step to the right, he blinked as he saw what appeared be Glenn Hughes and Marie, the girl he had encountered at the washrooms, running from the gazebo itself. Fred had been right. As they ran past him, Adam couldn't help but call out to them.

"GLENN! Your brother is looking for you!"

As neither responded, Adam shrugged, and ran off - there was someone he was looking for as well, and to him, that was the important thing.

He halted when the gunshots began firing reconsidering going there next as the shots continued to fire, attention flashing to Adam though as he took off away from them. Fred opened his mouth to protest Adam’s up in leave when his yelling caught his ear,

"GLENN! Your brother is looking for you!"

Glenn…

Without a word to the other two that where still there he took off where Adam had stopping once he caught sight of the other two people standing before the hill leading from the gazebo, quickly taking note of his brother’s dark clothing with his typical Muse shirt on.

“You bleeding prat!” He muttered loudly as began a fast walk to where his twin stood, coming up to him and looking him over. Mostly checking for any visible wounds, or bleeding… though really it looked like he had just been caught in the rain like he had.

“You bleeding prat…” He repeated again, dropping his bag and his wrench and pulled the younger one into a hug. “You don’t know how bloody worried you had me, I’ve been running on sheer panic and fear these past two days. Getting sick to my stomach every time one of those announcements came on, thinking I’d hear your name…”

Jeremy heard the gunshots up ahead and stopped. Then everything seemed to go in slow motion as the entire scene unfolded. Adam ran off shouting something about Fre'd brother and then there were two new people standing in front of them.

One of them looked just like Fred and Jeremy knew it was his twin. Relived but a little worried about where Adam went, and what the gunshots were Jeremy walked up to the unfolding scene bewteen Fred and his brother as they became reunited. Jeremy stood there holding his sickle looking around.

Glenn was more than a little surprised when Adam ran by screaming about his brother, he taking a few moment for this to sink in before looking off toward the area where he had came from. Though even more surpise, and a bit of anger set in when a certain someone starting yelling at him calling him a bloody prat.

“I am not a prat…” He muttered lightly, smirking as his brother continued now before literately pulling him into a hug muttering more stuff. “Yeah, though I’m just glad I didn’t find you as a corpse.” Glenn said lightly, pulling himself out of the hug and glancing toward Jeremy from over Fred’s shoulder.

“Oh, um, we need to get out of here. Marie and I where with this other guy, um, Eddie from the Hockey Team and we had gone to the gazebo looking and then Jacob Starr shows up… and we just need to leave now before he decides to shoot at us next.”

Wow. There was two of them. She looked at both, a little perplexed as they began to bond again. The adrenaline in her body began to fade, her eyes staring blankly at anything really. Well, at least she knew how others felt.

Her voice couldn't come to her aid as she stood there. She watched the brothers talk.

Posted by: brokenCODA Aug 13 2005, 07:07 PM
Fred blinked some listening to his brother explaining to him what had been happening at the gazebo. “Eddie, you saw him? Bloody ‘ell I hope he’s okay…” He said remembering Adam’s words about how fast the members of the hockey team seemed to be.

“Oh, Ah.” He said, turning glancing back to Jeremy when he noticed Glenn look off toward him. “This is my new best mate Jeremy, we haven’t known one another too long but he’s been a big help, and he’s stuck with me. Jeremy, if you haven’t noticed this is my baby brother Glenn.”

Fred turned back, and looked toward the girl that had been with Glenn – Marie he believed Glenn had called her. Passing off a wave and a light smile toward her he turned his attention back on his brother. “Alright, we need go. But where do we go next?”

Posted by: Kuze Aug 13 2005, 08:02 PM
Heather finally made it up the mountain to where Jeremy and Fred were along with two other people, one looked almost the same as Fred.

"How nice of you leaving a wounded person to walk this steep trail"

Heather said through small gasps and she held the glock 17 in her slightly swinging right hand.

Posted by: Theseus Aug 13 2005, 10:15 PM
Jeremy looked at Fred's brother and said, "Hey." Listening to what Fred had to say Jeremy nodded and said, "Yeah, we better go before unwelcomed guests arrive." Jeremy continued to hold on to his sickel with his right and looking around making sure no one was watching them waiting to strike.

Posted by: riserugu Aug 14 2005, 02:47 AM
Glenn went over his map mentally in his mind as he listened to Fred agree with his words, nodding somewhat “Alright. There’s a waterfall not too far away from here. Why don’t we head there… we can figure up a better plan once we’re out of the way of danger.” Glenn suggested sifting his bag somewhat, looking over the group.

His attention fluttered to the new girl entering the area seeming to be talking to both Fred and Jeremy about leaving her behind, wounded and to walk a narrow path, he blinking glancing off at Fred again hoping he’d explain this other ally of his as well.

Posted by: brokenCODA Aug 15 2005, 08:02 PM
Fred glanced off at Heather frowning a little, “Sorry there ducks, could have sworn you were right behind us.” He muttered, glancing back to Glenn with a light smile. “This is girl here is Heather, a little firecracker she may be but once you get past that mean, sarcastic outside she’s quite nice. She’s the one who gave me my pipe wrench, and some flashbangs.”

Listening as Glenn spoke, he nodded indeed the waterfall wasn’t too far away and it wasn’t currently a danger zone. “I’m okay with that, what about the lot of you?” Fred asked over looking the other three there.

Posted by: Theseus Aug 15 2005, 08:08 PM
Jeremy nodded and said, "Sounds good to me. As long as we get away from here as soon as possible." Still gripping his sickle he looked around making sure once again no one was coming. Then he said, "The water fal huh? Well too bad we can't swim."

Posted by: riserugu Aug 15 2005, 08:56 PM
Glenn nodded toward Heather, forcing a small smile before letting it fade reaching out and tugging at his brother's red jersey. "Come on, let's just go on now..." He repeated glancing back toward the hill that lead up to the gazebo fear flashing over his face, but quickly returned to Fred tugging at his sleeve again before turning and starting to walk bringing his map out as he did following to where the waterfall lay.

Fred glanced toward his brother once more as he felt a tug, that was always Glenn's way to get his attention was tugging on the sleeves of his shirt or his hair. Explaining how he felt, and just the light look of fear on his face as enough to get Fredrik to nod, and as his brother started walking away he followed along glancing back to the others to make sure they came along as well.

Jeremy saw the twins walking away and he fell behind them following them. Looking back again at the Gazebo Jeremy hoped it was one of the last times he had to see it. He said, "Goodbye Ravine." He continued to follow the twins and looked back at Heather.

Heather saw the twins and Jeremy walk down the mountain, letting her mouth go agape.

"Goddammit you mean i had to walk up the motherfucking mountain just to walk back down it, bull shit"

Heather swore as she walked down and towards wherever the other 3 were going.
