More fudging, but he had already spilled his guts about all of this to one person. He didn't need to do it again and Nadia most likely didn't care to hear it. He adjusted his grip on the walking stick when Nadia gestured to his splinted leg. "I've been making it around okay, I guess. It's just slow."

He managed a faint smile. "But if you want to stick together, that's fine with me."
