A Tale of Blood and Sweatsocks
Adonis's smug grin faded when he noticed the reactions of the other students after his comment. He could have sworn that he heard some stifled chuckles coming from somewhere in the gym.

Who the hell's laughing at me? Adonis looked around the room to find the perpetrator of the chuckles. While he looked around, a voice reached his ears.

"Alba, don't be a dick."

Adonis jerked his head toward the direction of the voice. Mark Kent was the source. He didn't even pay attention to what Mark said afterwards. He just walked towards the weightlifting bench that Mark was sitting on.

What's with this guy?

"Oh, you're calling me a dick?" Adonis shot back, jabbing his finger towards Mark, "Well, what kind of dick just goes around butting into other people's business?" His finger jabbed forward again, now only inches from the wrestler's chest. Averting his attention for a moment, Adonis looked at the huge amount of weight on the bench.

"And what's with all the weight? You tryin' to impress someone? Let me tell you something. No one cares. No girl's gonna come running just because you can bench a car or something."

Adonis looked Mark straight in the eye, his smug expression returning to his face. He wasn't playing around any more. Now, it was serious.

General SOTF Discussion Thread?
This is a good idea. I like it.

Bringing Back COTM... With A Twist!
I like this idea. Even if we roll a fodder character like Remi, we could discuss what might have happened to them if they hadn't been fodder. I am hoping that this happens.

One question, though. Will Second Chances be added to the list once it starts up?

SOTF v4 Mafia, Game Thread
Oh. I guess I mixed up the rules. Sorry about that.

I've accepted my failure. Already added it to the list.

SOTF v4 Mafia, Game Thread
Well, looks like I'm getting lynched first. Somehow, I knew that this would happen when I signed up. At least I'm used to disappointment.

I would have tried to defend myself here, but I was at school, and already having a bad day on top of this.

One thing that I wanted to point out was that in every mafia that I've seen lately, the lyncher became a townie after fufilling their goals. If we would have lynched Inky (Hayley Kelly), then I probably would have become a townie, and if she had been an SK or Mafia, it would have essentially been plus 2 to the town. But I guess that it's too late to appeal.

I'll just go back to being insignificant now...

SOTF v4 Mafia, Game Thread
I'm supposed to lynch Hayley Kelly. You might know her as Inky.

SOTF v4 Mafia, Game Thread
I'm Thea Kairos. I'm a Lyncher.

Although I am third party, I mean no ill will towards the town.

v5 Bitch Squad
Stacey May-Mordetsky is definitely in.

SOTF v4 Mafia, Game Thread
Well, I guess this is probably my last stand...

I've tried to defend myself, but I guess that the end is fast approaching, so I'll just say everything right now...

There are two reasons that I haven't been posting as often as I would like. First of all: College. I've missed a lot of time due to homework and essays lately. I've tried to keep up, but its just not enough.

My second reason is that, well, I'm just not sure what to do. I'm trying to help out, but I'm just having trouble noticing scummish behavior ticks. The ones that have been pointed out, however, I've been wary of, and have been trying to watch ever since.

The only people on my radar are Whirly, Inky, and Namira, but I doubt that that will help me by this point.

In Relative Solitude
(Jake Mordetsky continued from Morning at the Mordetsky Mansion)

The Auditorium. It's always nice and quiet around lunchtime.

This was the main thought that went through Jake's head as he quietly entered the auditorium, being careful to make as little noise as possible. After all, he didn't want a bunch of people coming in after him.

The truth was, Jake Mordetsky didn't like crowds. Large groups of people always made him nervous. Whenever he walked through the halls between classes, and students packed the halls like sardines, he felt a little bit uneasy. The lunchroom wasn't much better, with people talking and laughing while the room seemed to echo the loudest noises. That's why Jake never ate in the lunchroom.

He preferred it in the auditorium, which was almost always empty at lunchtime. The peaceful silence calmed him, while the seats provided a comfortable place to rest. He would come there almost every day during lunch period. Away from all the noise. Away from all the crowds. He was surprised that no one else had thought of this before. Then again, if too many people came to the auditorium for lunch, than the peace and tranquility would be shattered, and the spot would be ruined. It was probably for the best that he was the only person there.

For about an hour a day, it was his little paradise.

Jake pulled his sketchpad out of his backpack and placed it on the seat next to him. He planned to do a little bit of drawing once he had finished eating. Next, he unpacked his lunch, a brisket sandwich with honey barbecue sauce. He silently thanked his dad as he prepared to unwrap the butcher paper surrounding his meal.

A smile creeped across the smaller Mordetsky sibling's face. For a few brief moments, he was calm, content, and happy.

...But the longer he sat there, all by his lonesome, he remembered how his father worried about him, about how he didn't have any friends due to his crippling shyness. Sitting alone in an empty auditorium at lunchtime wasn't going to resolve any of that.

Why was he such a coward? It was something that he had often wondered himself. He could just be naturally shy, which was a logical explanation, but this went beyond simple shyness. He outright avoided people out of fear. How can that be normal? It's not! It can't be! He was terrified of people rejecting him. Yes, that's what it was. If his own mother doesn't even like him, then why would anyone else?

Deep down, Jake had always felt this about himself. Whatever he did, it was never good enough for her. When he drew a picture, she ignored it. When he aced a test, she barely noticed it. When he built a robot, she raved about Stacey's modeling contract. He just wasn't good enough. He never was.

...But, would everyone else think so?

Jake had never tried making friends out of fear of rejection, but would they all be as judgemental as his mother? He wasn't sure. Maybe they would be a little more like his dad. A little more accepting of his faults. Yeah, maybe the other kids might even like him. He wasn't sure, but maybe he could give it a shot.

As soon as Jake finished this line of thought, he realized that he had already finished his sandwich, as well as the fact that lunch period was almost over. Quietly, he packed up his things and left the auditorium. As he walked out into the halls, he once again had the slightest smile on his face.

Maybe today won't be so bad after all.

SOTF v4 Mafia, Game Thread
OK, I knew that I would have to defend myself eventually, so here it is:

The only reason that I was talking about a serial killer in my previous posts is because I assumed that there is one in this game. My rationalization for that was because this version of Mafia is based on SOTF v4, which in addition to being a series where death and killing happen quite often, also has many characters that are perfect for the role of the serial killer (Brook, Atwell, Maxwell Lombardi, etc.). I assure you that I have no knowledge of whether a serial killer is in this game or not, but I am almost completely positive that there is one.

As for calling out Whirly after he had already explained himself, I wasn't trying to pin any blame on you. I was just asking if anyone else seemed suspect. And as for explaining myself, I was planning on doing that in my first Day 3 post, but I figured that would just make people MORE suspicious of me than they already were, because it would look like I was just trying to cover my tracks before anyone asked questions about it. If you thought that I was trying to pin you as a mafia, than I am sorry. I didn't mean for my post to read like that.

I will admit that I have pretty much no idea what I'm doing in this game. I've read the role list numerous times, so I thought that that would help me out. Apparently I should have spent a little more time looking at the rules as well. I'm trying my best, but all I've done so far is accidentally turn everyone against me. This is a tough game, and I'm learning that the hard way.

But I promise everyone, I am not the Serial Killer. I'm just a confused newcomer trying not to fail miserably.

SOTF v4 Mafia, Game Thread
Dang, I would have bet money on Dutchy being the innocent one...

So, does anyone have any suspicions other than Whirly? We need to dig a little deeper if we want to get on top of this game.

Also, I'm sorry about editing a post earlier. I didn't know that that was against the rules.

Romances, Bromances, and everything inbetween and beyond
Hmmm...seems like Matt Masters might be on good terms with Baby Ruth here, both of theme being generally nice guys and all.

I would also love it if Adonis Alba was one of the guys that lost a fight to Rutherford here.

The Mafia Waiting List
Ummm...I have an idea for a game.

How about King of the Hill Mafia? I have some ideas.

SOTF v4 Mafia, Game Thread
Yeah, we really messed up this phase. All we can do is hope that the serial killer takes out a Mafia.

On a side note, thanks for being honorable, Sickness. Your decision is a respectable one.

Pregame Tournament Final Roll Call
Matt Masters is still here.

SOTF v4 Mafia, Game Thread
I'm not totally set on Whirly's innocence either, but we've still got some daylight left, so I'm sure we can figure this situation out.

One thing that I did notice is Whirly's mention of Inky's suspicious behavior during the previous day. He could be giving us a lead, but he could also just be trying to save his own hide.

Personally, I want to hear both sides of the story.

FOS: Whirlpool531
FOS: Inky

SOTF v4 Mafia, Game Thread
Well THAT was an interesting night phase. Lost a Mafia and a vig. One Mafia down. We're on a roll.

I'm not passing any judgement until Whirly comes forward with an explanation. Even though suspicion is starting to fall on quite a few players, I need to know why Whirly defended Will.

Also, Aaron Hughes is only a Mafia Goon? With his manipulative bastardness, I thought that he would have been the Godfather!

And by the way, if there's a serial killer, I'm betting that it's Liam Brooks. Bloodgarden, anyone?

Morning at the Mordetsky Mansion
In a lavish mansion in the richer part of Seattle, a family resides. With a large amount of income coming from the father's restaraunt chain, money is no major concern. The interior is finely decorated, but not so fancy that it seems pompous.

This is the residence of the Mordetsky family.

The father, a tall man with a beard trimmed very short to match his brown hair stands idly in the foyer. His wife, a blonde woman in a lavish dress wearing an abundance of makeup stood next to him with a bored expression on her face. The two waited for their children to come downstairs to begin the day.

First to descend the steps was a girl. Her blonde hair stretched to her mid-back and swayed behind her as her slender frame made its way down the steps. Her sizable chest emphasized by the low cut of her shirt, and her long legs shown off by a pair of short shorts. High heels adorned her feet. She walked over to her parents and placed one hand on her hip as she addressed them.

"So can I leave yet, or do I have to wait for him? She stated, putting an unpleasant emphasis on the word "him".

(Stacey Mordetsky: Start)

"Stacey..." Her father, Bryan Mordetsky responded with a disapproving tone, "You should be more patient with your brother. You know that he likes to move at his own pace."

"Bryan, honey..." His wife, Carol Mordetsky interjects, "She has a point. She has places to be. Why should she wait?"

"Because I wish to have a talk with the whole family." Bryan retorted.

At this time, another figure began to walk down the stairs. This one was male, slightly shorter, and much scrawnier. His messy brown hair sat in a mop atop his head, while his pale face was adorned with a slightly nervous look. His clothes were quite baggy on him due to his small size. His T-shirt depicted the logo of the famous British TV program "Robot Wars". He walked next to his sister and looked to his parents while quietly muttering a simple greeting.

"...Good morning..."

(Jake Mordetsky: Start)

"OK, now that everyone's down here, we can get down to business." Bryan told his family. "Now, seeing as last year's camping trip did not turn out as well as everyone had hoped..."

"Hon, it took a half-hour to put the tent up." Carol interrupted.

"Yeah, it rained and it stank." Stacey added.

"...I got bit by a spider..." Jake finished.

"...Anyway..." Bryan continued, attempting to regain control of his speech, "I've decided that...maybe it's for the best if we don't go camping again this summer."

"YES!" Stacey cheered. "No sleeping in the woods!"

"Thanks, hon. I don't think that I would've survived another trip." Carol said with a smile.

"...Okay..." Jake said quietly.

"Okay, everyone. That's all I had to say. you can go now." Bryan finished his speech, feeling slightly embarassed by all the interruptions that he had to endure.

"Okay, see you later!" Stacey practically dashed out of the door.

"I'll be at the spa if anyone needs me." Carol walked out the door, winking to Bryan as she does so.

Jake says nothing and heads for the door.

"Jake..." Bryan calls to him.

"Yeah, dad?" Jake turns around, puzzled.

"Son, I want you to go out and have some fun today. I get worried about you being alone in your room all the time. You don't have much time left to be a kid, and I want you to enjoy it for as long as it lasts.

Jake looks at his father and gives a faint smile.

"OK" I will, dad."

Jake left the house, determined to take what his dad had told him to heart. As he got to the driveway, he saw his sister pull out onto the street in her shiny new convertible. She sneered as she looked at him.

"Sorry. Can't drive you to school. I'm hanging out with my friends today" Stacey coldly told him. She drove away and left her little brother in the dust.

Jake hung his head and walked towards town. This was going to be a long day.

OK, guys. This is my last post for this day phase, on account of I won't have access to a computer again until after the lynch.

I think that everyone clearly had their own playing style here, and that can be useful for catching the mafia. However, we also need to be able to work together with our separate styles to investigate more effectively. Once we have more to work with, we can probably get the ball rolling on this investigation.

See you guys in the next day phase (I hope).
