Bastard Mafia Game Thread
If Doc really is totally unkillable, then that's pretty much an absolute guarantee that he's town, because seriously, an immortal scum would be absolutely evil, not to mention unwinnable, since the town would never be able to be rid of scum. So yeah, if Doc's invincibility is permanent instead of X-shot, then they've gotta be town.

Problem is, now I've lost the only thread I was closely following, so now I've got to start looking elsewhere for ideas.

Bastard Mafia Game Thread
Well there goes that theory. Guess he really is invincible.

Now what?

Bastard Mafia Game Thread
I'm pretty much 100% sure that Doc's cult leader now, especially since he just pulled the "I'm totally invincible, but I never mentioned it until after someone else conveniently brought up the idea" defense.

Bastard Mafia Game Thread
Yeah, I'm pretty sure Doc claimed unlynchable.

Anyway, I noticed that MW got some suspicion earlier for talking a lot. Really, that doesn't strike me as too scummy because every time I've played with him, he's always talked a lot and made huge posts about his suspicions. MK's aggressive play doesn't bug me either for the same reason. Every time I've played, he's always aggressively pursued his suspicions.

Slam... confuses me, since I don't really know what they're going for. I've never actually seen a mafia game where someone begs to be lynched, so I'm still assuming they're a jester that's not even trying to hide it.

Doc's still my number one suspect, mostly for the glaringly obvious "I'm a cult leader" shtick he's rolling with. I'm sorry, but I just can't get past that.

Bastard Mafia Game Thread
All right. I'll make my statements in the morning, because it's ridiculously late right now and I have to go to sleep.

Bastard Mafia Game Thread
Um... can I at least have a chance to plead my case first?

Bastard Mafia Game Thread
Whoa, so nothing happened at night? Like, at all?

Well, I think we can safely assume that some roleblocking was in play.

Bastard Mafia Game Thread
Okay, let me lay down my case for voting Doc.

Mainly, it has to do with his restriction, the knowledge that there is a cult in the game, and the general theme of the game. See, cult is generally regarded as at least somewhat bastard because of how easily one can take over the game. In addition, the practice of balancing powerful roles with strict post restrictions is also considered rather bastard. And as we've seen, Doc has been communicating solely through PMs, and he ends these messages by saying "Praise be me", which comes off as essentially saying "Hello, I am a cult leader".

With these clues, I have come to the conclusion that Doc is the Cult Leader, balanced with a post restriction that makes it extremely obvious that he is the cult leader. Personally, I believe that it would be best if we took him out now so that we could prevent the cult from spreading to other, less obvious players.

Bastard Mafia Game Thread
Claiming lynchproof, eh? Well, I'm already suspicious of Doc, so why not run a little field test?

VOTE: DuckyB

Bastard Mafia Game Thread
Yeah, Slam's not ringing any bells for me either.

Why is this bandwagon happening, exactly?

Bastard Mafia Game Thread
Not sure how much this affects current reads, but in Yugi's flip, VoltTurtle said that his status as the Novice Ascetic Lightningrod was hidden to him, so he had no idea that he was gonna wreak havoc on Night 2. As far as he knew, he was just the Wise One.

I don't know what a Wise One is, but I think that his role was to reveal the existence of the cult upon his death. Knowing that, I think he set himself up to be taken out by Goose's day shot so that we could get word of the cult out as soon as possible.

Bastard Mafia Game Thread
Also, I'm kinda agreeing with voting Slam right now. I've never seen someone actively try so hard to get killed in a Mafia game before so I highly doubt he's town unless he's a vengeful townie with a plan on who he wants to take out.

Bastard Mafia Game Thread
A Novice Ascetic Lightningrod?

Not sure what Novice does, but Ascetics null all non-nightkill night actions directed at them, and lightningrods attract all night actions, that means that all night actions would fizzle out except for nightkills... which would kill him.

Whoa. Talk about a harsh role.

Bastard Mafia Game Thread
Personally, I'd suggest not shooting me because I have a kinda-maybe-possibly-probably not useful role, but I'm kind of having a hard time keeping up. Right now all I can tell is that Goose has to make a daykill, and Yugi and me are catching a lot of heat.

Bastard Mafia Game Thread
I don't have a post restriction. I just don't know how to approach anything since I'm pretty sure that almost any move could have a severely negative effect on the town.

Bastard Mafia Game Thread
Okay... I'm starting to notice that there seems to be a bandwagon forming towards me.

This doesn't seem like a good thing. Well, not for me, anyway.

Bastard Mafia Game Thread
Only communicating through PMs? I don't think I've ever heard of that restriction before.

Bastard Mafia Game Thread
Sorry again. I, uh... kinda forgot to check in on the game yesterday.

Anyway, I still don't really have any leads on... well, anything, really. Nothing really seems that clear to me so far.

Bastard Mafia Game Thread
I've never heard of any roles that directly hurt the town by dying except for the Beloved Princess.

Then again, this is bastard mafia, so...

Bastard Mafia Game Thread
Yugi's role sounds pretty terrifying, I've gotta say...

But yeah, I agree with MW's idea. Any Jesters in the field should come forward. That way, Town doesn't have to deal with a giant red herring, Jester gets their victory, everybody wins.
