Cruising and Perusing
Kimiko didn't have a response to Henry's comment about being able to take part in the Olympics. She didn't get why she would have cared since it was such a strange hypothetical scenario. But if she had to have an opinion she thought it was better that women also got the compete. Then he kept talking, and talking, and talking some more. He only stopped when he saw a graphic novel he liked the look of.

At that point he seemed to forget that Kimiko and Samuel both existed and was transfixed by the graphic novel he had picked up and was reading. Kimiko could only look at Samuel and shrug. Henry seemed to be friendly enough but as far as social interaction went he seemingly didn't quite get it, or didn't care. Kimiko couldn't really tell.

Instead she took the opportunity the pause in the conversation offered to return to the two graphic novels she had been looking at. She held them up to Samuel and pointed to the counter the make it clear she was going to pay for them. That way he wouldn't think she was just leaving him high and dry.

"Yeah, it does." Like her friend Cameron couldn't think of what else to say. She had said the important part. Instead she settled into staring out into the dark desert. The inky blackness of it was strangely soothing, every so often she would be able to hear the sound of another car rumbling in the distance. She liked to imagine it was the sound of large dinosaur from back in the Jurassic or the Cretaceous. It made her feel better because it felt so far away. She made a mental note to see if she could pull off a dinosaur themed paint job for a show. Experimenting with it to make it look good was something that she could throw herself into. That or a composition.

"I don't know what to do Vans." As soon as the words had left her mouth Cameron regretted them. It felt too much like a cry for help. She didn't want to be the person that needed all the emotional support. She didn't want to be a burden. She just wanted the company of her friend more than anything.

I mean there's a lot of fine print that comes with it but it is a step in the right direction from a company pretty notorious for the whole "Gays don't exist" thing.

EBWOP: On that note we should probably focus more on getting reads instead of focusing on the alignment stuff.

If anything the weird twists and irregularities make it harder to gauge anything since I'm spending half my time figuring out what's happening.

Alright all the improvements look good.

Just make sure that you delete the line breaks between the Biography header and the actual biography so that it matches the template and I'll be able to approve Lizzie.

@ Deamon

Actually, the reason I've been good with the flavor so far is because I know the plot of the game really well. Although two characters that I thought for sure to be power roles flipping regular townie has me doubting my expectations somewhat.
Missing my point XD. I know you know the games. It was more you unwillingness to offer any actual discussion on our game that I was dubious of.

We can just admit last day was a bit of a mess.

I'm almost suspicious of MW but he's not done enough to get beyond a null for me. Sadly pretty much everyone else beyond Unpy is basically a null since there's not been much discussion.

Although Aura's helpfulness with the flavor but then hesitation to actually offer something concrete on whats happened does strike me as odd.

Kimiko looked over at Samuel. He was being a little too condescending but she could understand why. It had been a fairly stupid question to ask. Although treating Henry like he was a thirteen year-old wasn't the right way to go about answering. Kimiko had heard of the book Henry was looking for although she had no interest in it at all. As a result the title was about the only thing she did know besides some things she had heard said about it. Not that she could remember those small details anymore. She hadn't been focused on them. As a result she wasn't sure she could be any help to Henry. So she answered him with a non-committal hand-wobble. The hand-wobble always served her well when it came to showing she was unsure about something, sometimes she threw in a small shrug as well to make it extra obvious.

Body language was something Kimiko was a master of or that was what she liked to think. She had never actually asked anyone to confirm her belief at all but she assumed the fact she managed to make it through day-to-day life without relying on technology to explain things for her proved her point. She did have to make frequent use of her phone to type things out for her but she flat-out refused to use one of those machines that vibrated her vocal cords. She had been asked if she wanted one once in Taiwan and had said no and asked again when she'd made one of her first visits to a specialist in America. It had never been brought up again thanks to the aggressiveness of her initial refusal.

She tilted her head when Henry asked about "senior stuff". She had no idea what he meant. Seniors didn't really do anything juniors didn't, apart from stuff to do with college she guessed. Yeah, that was something she had to think about more. Then Henry asked what they planned to do when they graduated. Kimiko couldn't speak for Samuel there but she still looked up at him before looking back at Henry and shrugging...while typing on her phone.

College, international politics, do gymnastics. Hopefully Olympics.

She held it up so the others could see. She didn't know if Samuel knew of her dream of doing gymnastics at the Olympics but if he didn't he did now. It had been her dream since childhood, ever since she had been old enough to understand what the Olympics were. All the hours upon hours of practice were for that one goal. She just had to get into the right college and then go off to the Olympic trials. She was sure she would be able to make it.

Cameron had her knees tucked up to her chest and her arms wrapped around them. She was using her knees as a rest for her chin as she stared out into the desert. She didn't know exactly how long both her and Vanessa had been sitting there, completely silent. She appreciated that Vanessa knew better than to press the issue, there was no need to. Her company was enough by itself to make Cameron feel better and she was sure her friend knew that. That was why their relationship was special. They understood each other on a level beyond everyone else around them, it had always been that way ever since they first met.

The first day in high school was supposed to be slower, more nerve-wracking. It hadn't been like that for Cameron: the first person she had met was Vanessa and that had been the rest of her day sorted. She had a friend from the beginning and ally from the outset. The bond only grew stronger as time went on. It was a sign of their connection that Vanessa had managed to convince her to form a band. It wasn't something Cameron had ever cared about, the idea had been brought up with her before from some other people she knew and her old teachers had suggested it. Citing that working with other like-minded creative people could help push her to achieve more; not that she wasn't already achieving but the pros and skills that could be learned from performing in a group would have helped her on multiple levels. That second part was added in after her teachers were made aware of her problems and thus began thrusting her into more social interactions to try and form "positive bonds" with others as they had called it.

That wasn't what happened with Vanessa, one day she just pitched the idea and Cameron had said yes without thinking about it. Only Vanessa had been able to do that and she'd done it first time of asking. Maybe that was why Cameron valued Vanessa so much, after all she had been joining high school coming off what had been the most tumultuous time of her life and this other girl immediately latched onto her as a friend and was someone she genuinely enjoyed being around. It was likely that was doing Vanessa a disservice; she meant much more to Cameron than just a rock. She was her best friend. That was what made the next part so hard.

"My parents are divorcing."

There is definitely something really confusing going on with the flavour here.
I agree with you there. But last day phase we wasted time on it and didn't get anywhere so I'm hesitant to go into too much of a discussion about it again.

As for Slam being town, eh can't say I'm surprised one way or the other. Not like he said much. Obviously others have pointed out how its a more informed scum kill since he can be a good player.

Regarding suspicions I'll try and get stuff down tomorrow, since its late. But always remember I don't trust Unpy.

That sounds like it would be hideously unbalanced?

I dunno can't say much about the game its based on beyond what you mentioned but it seems like a kind of farfetched theory.

@Vyse I'd like to know how exactly I've pinged your suspicions beyond "chiming in at all the wrong places" since that seems like a really vague claim to base suspicion on.
