V4 Part 2 Mafia Game Thread
A girl and boy walked away from the meeting of the kids, ready to turn in for the night.

"Ugh, that weirdo kept eyeing me. It was totally giving me the heebiejeebies. You know I'm not a murderer. I haven't been out of your sight since we woke up. We're practically glued at the hip."

"Probably racist. Just because you're naturally untrustworthy doesn't mean people should jump to conclusions."

"Gee, thanks."

"Speaking of naturally untrustworthy, have you seen Helen?"

Another boy left his shelter and found a pair of binoculars on his door step. He looked at them, turned them over in his hands. They seemed fine. He tucked them into his bag for later use.

"Ready to back me up, Helen?"

"Honestly I'm a little apprehensive, but if you need my help I'm game," she said, pulling on a strand of her messy hair.

The two creeped quietly in the night to see if they could gain any information on the other students.

"Wait here and watch my back. If you see anyone about to sneak up on me, let me know."

"Alright," she nodded.

And so Helen looked after her companion, but who would look after Helen? An ambitious young....something or other walked up behind her.

"Let's play doctor"

"N-!"

Elsewhere....

Aileen was walking back to her shelter when she was jumped by a group. She looked up at the ring leader.

"I thought we were friends!"

"You thought wrong."

The speakers on the island started with a screech.

"Morning morning, my pets. It looks like you don't have the stamina I thought you did. Only two kills tonight. Shameful.

First off, having friends isn't always the way to survival. Bad judge of character can lead to a bad end very quickly. Keep your friend close and your enemies closer, but maybe a kevlar vest between both of those parties is for the best. Miss Aileen Borden is a warning to you all.

Second, is another young lady. Her downfall didn't come from the company she kept but from the company she did not keep. It's dangerous trying to focus on saving other people when you could be the next victim, isn't that right Helen Wilson?

Day 4 will go until January 6th at 9pm EST

Mara turned to leave and just as she was about to pick her hand up of the table she felt a sharp pain and a tug, rooting her to the spot. Instinctively she opened her mouth and screamed. She whipped her head back around, teeth clenched, to see what was causing the searing pain in her hand.

A silver fork was sticking straight up out of the back of her right hand. Her breathing was shaky and she looked at Summer, eyes narrowing. Mara slapped Summer's hand away from the fork as hard as she could, took hold of the utensil with her bandaged left hand and yanked it out in one quick motion which elicited another scream.

"You crazy whore!" she shouted as she chucked the fork at Summer's head.

As soon as the fork left her hand she grabbed the underside of the table and flipped it, sending the sweets rolling all over the floor. When she stood back up she had her gun in her hands, pointing it at Summer.

"Big mistake. Big fucking mistake!"

She stared at Summer down the end of the barrel. Her chest heaved and her face was a luminous bright red. She waited, still pointing it at the other girl, glaring at her. Red nail marks ran down her face with the tears. Summer was a pathetic wreck of a person.

I can't do it. She's family.

The gun shook. It was getting heavier the longer she held it up. Her eyebrows came up and for a moment her eyes were wide as Summer sobbed.

Mara lowered the gun, picked up her bag and walked backwards to the door that led to the lobby.

"Stay away from me. You're insane," she hissed.

Sorry, got caught up doing something. Here is your flip....

The day was nearly over and again the kids of Bayview began shifting nervously, eyeing each other and trying to discern friend from foe.

"I bet it's that weird girl. The one who is always trying rile people up with her- is she a socialist?"

"No, communist. Dirty red."

"Come on guys, she's always seemed perfectly nice. Although, she doesn't keep the best company."

And so the island became a temporary McCarthy era trial, but the kids were judge, jury and executioner. She tried to explain that she didn't mean anyone any harm. She just wanted to stay safe and keep her wits about her. Maybe she could even figure out a way to get off this rock.

It was to no avail. The children of Bayview strung her up and hoped that maybe it would even serve as a warning to her lover.

DAY THREE

DMBOOGIE: SARAH XU, VANILLA TOWNIE

The students lowered their heads and turned away from the body. A few stayed behind, turned away just as the others had, but shared hushed laughter for the town's folly.

Night 3 will go until Sunday at 11am. (It's a little earlier than usual because I have to catch a flight)

Paris pushed his wavy, dark hair back towards the side and smiled. He let go of Cho's hand and lowered the riot shield. If they were going to shoot them, they'd have done it already.

First seeing Joachim caused a slight bit of suspicion. He was almost certain he'd heard him announced as a killer. However, Joachim greeted them happily. Even if he was up to something, Paris didn't feel like there would be a problem.

"Hey Joachim!" he said cheerfully and put a hand on the boy's shoulder.

"It's just me and Cho. I'm sure glad to see a couple of people acting normally. A day or two ago a girl attacked us out of the blue and that's the last person we saw. I can't believe someone would get so wildly over emotional that they'd just attack people who are minding their own business. I'll never understand it," he said, shaking his head sadly.

The girl who was deeper inside the closet sounded fairly unwelcoming, asking them who they were and what they wanted.

"We don't want anything, really. Just a place to stay safely for awhile, maybe some company."

Paris moved his head from side to side and squinted to get a better look inside the closet.

"Your companion is lovely, but seems a little hostile."

((Thanks for being accommodating guys. It'll be Skraal > Espi > Regular posting resumes))

A small voice said her name from the side.

Gwen

She looked back at Eliza just as she blew a hole in the wall right next to her head. Pieces of the wall chipped and flecked, hitting her in the side of the face. She couldn't hear anything. Everything was all muffled, but dimly she heard Gwen scream.

Eliza looked right at Gwen. Michelle lunged forward and grabbed hold of the end of the rifle.

"Gwen, get out of here!" she shouted.

Another loud sound went off. The feeling of being punched harder than she'd ever felt was quickly followed by a sharper pain. Michelle tried to gasp. She tried, but she couldn’t. She couldn’t feel the clean, feeling of free flowing air. All she felt was her gasp being caught at the top of her chest as she desperately tried to breathe and her eyes welled up with tears. Slowly, she looked down and saw blood starting to pour out of her stomach.

Michelle didn't let go of the gun. Her shaking hands held on even tighter, staring determinedly at it. She wouldn't let go until Gwen got away.

Her rapid footsteps echoed and got quieter and quieter. After making sure Gwen had fled, she shoved the gun back at Eliza as hard as she could. She stumbled backwards. She put her hands over the wound as if trying to keep the blood inside. She blinked and the tears rolled down her cheeks. There were two sobs and a high pitched, unintelligible plea and she fell.

Her tears rolled down from her face onto the dirty hospital floor. Her legs curled up as she kept holding her stomach. She looked up at Eliza.

"Run," she croaked. "They'll be here any second. Virgil and Adam will kill you if they find you."

Whatever Mara was expecting, it certainly wasn't that. She'd said what she did about Naomi with a sort of bitter irony.

Summer lunged tearfully at Mara and grabbed her, making Mara sit up in shock. She thought for a moment Summer would try to strangle her.

Mara felt for her. She felt more for Summer at this moment than she'd probably felt for anyone else in her life, with the exception of maybe her mother. Sympathy wasn't something she often experienced. Things happened to people and it was either someone she didn't care about and therefore did not matter to her, something someone brought on themselves or otherwise not her problem. Sometimes when her friends she liked tremendously had an issue she would try to help them and provide what assistance she could or just listen, but didn't feel terribly sorry for them. After all, sympathy isn't going to help them.

There was nothing she could do for Summer. There was nothing anyone could to do help her and maybe that's why now she felt sympathy. It was simply because there was no other recourse.

"I don't hate you."

She supposed that was true. Mara expected that if anyone else killed Naomi she might hate them. It was impossible to know. Naomi was one of her best friends, but it didn't really register with her that Naomi didn't exist anymore. There was no time to feel the loss like one would in the real world. No shock of not seeing someone every day like you used to.

"We'll always be friends," she affirmed, looking at Summer and putting a hand on her shoulder.

"But I can't stay with you."

"You're too unpredictable. You've changed. I don't know what you might do. Right now you say that we're friends, but you were friends with Naomi too and if you changed your mind about her, you might change your mind about me later. I don't want to hurt you. I'm being honest. Something happened to you to make you act this way and I don't know what it was, but I'm sorry that it happened."

Mara got up and slowly pulled her hand out of Summer's and placing it on the table.

"You were like a sister to me, and I'll never forget it," she said looking Summer straight in the eye.

Reverie
"That's good."

A running repetition in her head went around and around, reminding her that Eliza was a student at their school like all of the others. In daily life, she wouldn't hurt anyone. No one would have. It was the game that made them think they had to be killers and that thought process fed on itself, making more and more violence.

Treating her like she was a killer would do no good to anyone. No one wants to be treated like they're a monster. If she was too far gone and if she was too wrapped up, at least she wouldn't know the others were there and sleeping. They'd hear the noise and wake up and be ready. She hoped that didn't happen. She hoped that no one had to die.

"No," she said, shaking her head. "No, no one has tried to hurt me. Oh- oh you mean this?"

She shifted the blankets into her left arm to reveal the sling.

"This was just an accident. Some of the rocks gave way where I was standing. I'm a klutz, ya know?"

Eilza stepped forward and it seemed she was challenging her, trying to frighten her. Michelle didn't move and held her soft gaze on the other girl.

"Can you put that away?" she said gently. "You might feel like you need to do that, but you don't. I don't' want to hurt you. The people who put us here are causing more than enough pain on their own. They don't need our help."

V5 Fourth Announcement
Tentatively asking for a five day extension since my killer has been away on a trip the 24th and 25th

Reverie
It was rare recently for Michelle to be alone. With such dangers possible around every rusted house and flower bed, being in ones own company was a luxury that could no longer be afforded to those who weren't the danger themselves.

Why was she alone? Michelle sighed and pushed her brown waves away from her face. She was given the last look out shift and she fell asleep, she realized. Adam and Virgil would ream her out if they ever found out. Luckily she woke up before they did. For once her poor circulation had been a good thing. She stood on tip toe to bring down a few fleecy hospital blankets. They smelled musty from years of being in the supply closet and she wrinkled her nose.

From elsewhere in the building she heard the banging of a door. Her eyes widened for a moment in response. She blinked and looked down at the blankets in her hands.

"What about China? Have you seen the Great Wall? All walls are great if the roof doesn't fall," she sang-whispered.

From her right a girl flung open the door and stood with a weapon pointed at her.

There was a moment of crystalized silence. Michelle didn't hear any stirring meaning her friends were still asleep. She could shout and they would come running. She could tell Eliza her friends were just down the hall as a threat. However...

Brining them into this meant the possibility of them getting hurt. Eliza would see them coming if they did wake up. If they didn't it would be shooting fish in a barrel. Even without that, she knew how Virgil felt about other people with weapons. With the options laid out in front of her, the choice was obvious.

"Nothing," she said in her calmest voice, clutching the blankets to her chest with her one free arm. The blankets hid the fact that her breathing became heavier.

"I came in here to get out of the rain yesterday and look for supplies. There were already some bodies around."

Her glance dipped down to the weapon and then back up to its wielders face. She was pretty sure she'd heard Eliza's name on the announcements. Michelle steeled herself. She reminded herself that Eliza was a kid like everyone else.

"Are you alright?"

Reverie
(Tiny bits of GMing and a time skip. Please let me know if any of this needs to be changed >_< )

Thankfully, Virgil came up and helped open the window the rest of the way. He grabbed hold of Adam and lugged him up while Michelle leaned out the window, helping with the bags, nearly falling before Virgil used a free hand to keep her from tipping out the window.

Both boys were inside and Michelle rushed Adam, shaking his hand and then jumped on Maynard, hugging him before realized Gwen was behind her and quickly stepping back to let them have a moment.

"You can rest. You're safe with us," she said gently to Adam.

As night fell the three vegetarians ate a can of beans each while the hardier boys had a dinner of beef broth. Michelle put the empty cans out in the rain to collect water and the group was able to have powdered Kool Aid drink with the single can of fruit for dessert.

It wasn't the best meal. It was a far stretch from even a tv dinner, but it was better than what they'd had so far. It was like having a family dinner with everyone sitting around talking and eating.

The group took some of the padding off of the hospital beds, flipped them to disguise any stains and made the waiting room into one large bed. A few blankets from the hospital's closets kept the group warm and together they fell asleep.

It was morning and a beam of sunshine fell square on Michelle's face. She stirred and rubbed her eyes sleepily. No announcement yet. She blinked a few times and observed her sleeping friends. They were so peaceful looking. She bit her lip and hugged herself. Michelle wanted to touch them. She wanted to stroke their hair, but that would of course mean waking them up. After a moment of observation she realized she was shivering.

She'd always had poor circulation and was thus frequently cold, especially in her hands and feet. Quietly she slipped her arm back into her sling and tip toed past the sleepers to get more blankets for herself from the supply closet.

"You've never been to Niagara Falls," she said quietly in a sing-song voice while she walked the empty hallway to the closet. Outside what was left over from the rain was still dripping down the roof and windows. "I have seen water. It's water, that's all."

V4 Part 2 Mafia Game Thread
Good morning, children.

I was disappointed by the day's display. Who knew you would all be so emotional over some crying girl and her squeeze. I didn't take you all for the sentimental types.

But you certainly made up for it during the night. Good show. A girl who was missing her friend was trying to keep an eye on a few people she thought might be in danger. She would have seen something helpful if he hadn't been standing her way. It's a pity that while distracting her, Zach Jamis failed to notice someone far less patient behind him.

One of our other kids had the right idea. Lay low, stay out of the way, and maybe she could wait until the more blood thirsty among you could do all the work for her. However, for that plan to work, Ash Morrison needed to choose better hiding spots.

I really thought this next one was going to make it. After escaping one attack with just a shot to the arm I thought Kimberly Nguyen had enough fight in her to make it all the way. Unfortunately someone was able to get the drop on her in her injured state and finished the job.

Lastly we have Aislyn McCreery. Another girl I thought would make it much farther. I guess I must be rusty after not having seen a game of Survival of the Fittest in awhile.

What a bad night for the island's lovely girls. You're really a bunch of lady killers aren't you? Well done. See you tomorrow...

DAY 2

Day 2 will be 6 days long. It will end January 29th at 9pm EST.

22 players left means 12 to lynch!

Rio Bravo
((Paris Ardennes continued from The Farmer and the Viper))

Hand in hand, Paris and Cho made their way to the school. He walked slightly in front of her, carrying the shield and with his revolver tucked into the waist of his pants, under his loose shirt. He left Cho with Sven's larger, more intimidating gun.

His grip on her was gentle, but firm. This was the first time they'd ventured out of the forrest since just prior to the unfortunate demise of Katy Warren. The couple had taken refuge in the brush of the woods to keep them concealed, but the announcement had advised they leave the area under pains of explosion. Day 5.

Paris didn't care about the killers and had accepted everyone would die eventually. The order wasn't terribly important to him.

He'd taken great care to make sure Cho felt safe. He always let her eat first, take more of the sleep, insisted on keeping watch. He sang to her when she was drifting off to sleep and was scouted ahead. He was a gentleman and thus far, they'd had the good fortune not to see anyone else. That might change now that they were out of the wilds.

The school was innocuous from the outside. He looked at her, shrugged, and they continued into the building. He let go of her once they were indoors and began looking around. From elsewhere in the building there was a noise. He put a finger up to his lips and with the other hand he curled one long finger towards the sound.

The source was an open closet door with some vague, humanish figures in the dark of the room.

"Hello? I hope we're not interrupting anything."

V4 Part 2 Mafia Game Thread
The cover of night allows for people to move more freely and be more dangerous. While they still can, the children of Bayview continue to try and get the upper hand.

Without his beloved Tabi, Ivan must have been shaken enough that he didn't take the proper precautions. While he wasn't the only one injured in the night, he was the only one who fell.

NIGHT ONE

AURA MASTER FOX: IVAN KUZNETSOV THE BODYGUARD

Everyone gathered together at the funeral of beloved princess Tabi and agreed to a temporary truce. For the rest of the day, there would be no killing. However that did promise does not extend into the night....

And for convenience, Ivan was buried next to Tabi.

Night 2 begins now. It will go until 9pm EST on the 23rd of January. Please get night actions in before then!
