v4 Concepts Relapse
I've actually had new character ideas anyways. As part of my creative writing class, I was assigned to think up five concepts for characters, so I figured, why not kill two birds with one stone.

An idea I had is for a character who is sort of weird, quiet, likes to say morbid things, etc., but who is actually a really nice person. He or she would just be majorly introverted and bad at expressing him/herself. Basically, someone who lots of classmates would assume would become a player, but who actually could never intentionally hurt anyone.

That has some similarities to one of my characters, Samantha Ridley. While some similarities between characters are fine, these may be a bit too close. Read the concept and see if you agree (the name is a link to the post).

You are quite right. Sorry about that. It's hard to remember everyone's concepts. Thanks for the early heads-up!

V4 Teams, Clubs, and Cliques
I would like to add my roleplayer type, Aaron Hughes, to chess club. I would also like to found a Dungeons & Dragons club, if possible. Thanks!

Oops. Sorry.

Wow. I've finally finished going through this thread. It's pretty intense, and I see why full profiles are frowned upon. Sorry about my earlier mess up.

It seems like normal people are in semi-short supply, so I'll try to keep my concepts pretty basic.

I have two current concepts:

1. A geeky roleplaying fanatic, who is frustrated with people always assuming that he is also a nerd/the smart guy. He tends to be somewhat suspicious of others because he is socially ostracized. What he doesn't realize is that this is because he is an arrogant person who isn't too fun to be around.

2. This is a bit looser of a concept. This character (probably a girl if more are needed) would be continually friendly and polite, a real peace maker. She would have an exceptional thought-to-mouth filter, and because of that, keep a lot bottled up. At some point, due to stress, I could see her exploding (not in a kill everyone sort of way, more a finally break down and say what she's truly feeling way).

just as a note: this is a concept thread, not a "post the entire damn bio" thread. @_@; this is all starting to get to be a real pain in the ass to sift through

Greatest apologies. I'll edit it down to a concept.

I'll also read through the 20 or so pages I haven't. Sorry.

Here's my current idea. Apologies if I suck. I tried to follow the guides, so hopefully things aren't too bad. Any advice is appreciated.

Cocept: A roleplayer and LARPer with some ego issues, tends to be somewhat paranoid about others.

What would you do if YOU were in SotF?
I would try to avoid attention, and lay low. I like to think I wouldn't kill anyone, except in self defense, and even then I would probably fail. I would be very cautious about groups, since there's only one person I trust unconditionally.

I would certainly try to stay alive. If I got the opportunity, I might try to do something about the collar, but I'd rather leave it on than get blown up, and I don't have the slightest clue how the things work.

How did you discover SotF?
I found SOTF through TVtropes, like so many of the other new people. I've been reading through it, and it seems totally awesome.

Introduction Thread
Hello everyone.

I, like almost everyone else who has joined in the past few months, found my way here via TVtropes. I have read through the rules, and followed some of the characters in the current version.

I have very little experience with online roleplaying, but I have been a tabletop gamer for eight years and have thus learned how to avoid creating annoying characters who are universally despised.

I am very interested in participating, if possible, in version 4.

Nice to meet everyone!
