"Uuuugh, it's so hot..." complained Carbide as they continued their trek further in. Despite the scalding sands beneath their feet, however, she seemed to be more concerned about the dry heat than her toes being singed. Terra, meanwhile, seemed to be doing perfectly fine, looking out towards the vast sea of magma that extended out from the burning coal-littered shore. Carbide's face seemed slightly irritated as she wiped her brow. "Terra, can we go back to that pool we made earlier? This looks like Hell's idea of a beach," she groaned. "... Sure. Sorry," Terra replied, beckoning her SP to follow her back. However, before they could make any headway, the mysterious little bunny appeared before them, offering up a gift. "Can't say I do?" said Carbide, in reply to the diminuitive rabbit's question, though she only managed to get that out before having a green data crystal shoved towards her, already spinning into its decryption process. The entire deal was sealed before she or Terra could get a word in edgewise, and the rabbit had already hopped away. "U-Um... Thanks?" The data disappeared as it was sent through to Scarlet's PET. "Looks like a regular battlechip... I'll keep it around for a bit," said Scarlet. "More importantly, looks like you guys have a bit of company." Looking around, as if on cue, the viruses started appearing one by one as soon as the rabbit had left their sights. With Megalians heads, Catack tanks, and a whole host of other viruses showing up to play, it seemed that they would be slightly in over their heads. Slightly awed by the amount of enemies that they had found themselves with, Carbide didn't notice that Terra had been kneeling beside her until her shoulder was tapped; the Navi was beckoning her to climb on her back as she had before. Clambering on quickly, Terra hoisted up her partner, just as the sands around her boots started to fuse together with an intense heat and formed a pool of molten red. "Hey, Scarlet, why do we have to train any more? Terra seems pretty strong now already," said Carbide, holding up the shield that she had summoned up and tentatively rotating it about, trying to see if she could intercept any incoming attacks. She eyed the Cregg and Jelly behind them suspiciously through the dim red barrier that soon enveloped her field of vision, choosing to direct her attention mostly towards them. Under her hands, she could also sense the hardened fitted armor that Terra had summoned up for herself beneath her green leotard. "You don't remember being almost torn to pieces in the network you were just in?" mused Scarlet, stirring a glass of iced water idly. "Terra might be strong, but she's not quite that strong yet." Seemingly ignoring the current conversation, Terra widened her stance on the lava-filled floor, where the liquid rock began to radiate away from her boots in little streams. A particularly wide streams began to swirl energetically before Terra, and the atmosphere of the room suddenly became heavy. Quite literally, as Carbide felt her body weight suddenly ramp up, as if gravity had been multiplied several fold. Clutching tightly onto Terra', she struggled to keep herself anchored. Meanwhile, in front of Terra, a ball of anomalous energy had formed from the gravity shift, slowly drifting over towards the floating Megalian heads. The larger lava stream continued to propagate rapidly, until Terra was effectively surrounded by a lava whirlpool. The ground rumbled ominously, before all hell broke loose, and a cascade of scalding lava burst forth in waves, burying all that were unfortunate enough to be in its path under several layers of magma. Watching the grand spectacle, Carbide commented with a dry chuckle. "If this is still not strong enough, I'd be pretty scared to be on the other end when we're done." // Summary [Ca.1] Act: Climb onto Terra: RP [Te.1] Sig: Terraform: Violent Magma: Large Lava Terrain Change @ Self [Te.*] Sig: Terraskill: Earthen Barrier 1: 20 HP Planar Barrier @ Carbide (Lava: Fire, Sturdy Defense) [Te.*] Sig: Terraskill: Earthen Armor 1: 20 HP Planar Casing @ Self (Lava: Fire, Sturdy Defense) [Ca.*] Sig: Terraskill: Reflex Guard 1: 1-Hit Shield @ Self, directed backwards (Reinforce: +1 Hit) [Ca.2] Act: Redirect one hit towards Terra on self: Defend [Te.2] Chip: [chip=GravityHold1,f]: [chip=GravityHold1,s] @ Megalian-F A/B [Te.3] Chip: [chip=Gaia1,f]: [chip=Gaia1,s] [Te.4] Chip: [chip=RedWave1,f]: [chip=RedWave1,s] (Lava: SrcAtk+50) [Te.5] Chip: [chip=RedWave1,f]: [chip=RedWave1,s] (Lava: SrcAtk+50) |

Without much time to ponder the odd diversion, Terra and Carbide began to prepare themselves for another field-sweeping exercise while the hostile threats moved in. The hellish beach-scape quickly gained a small bay as Terra's lava spread out in all directions, joining up with the sea they had just left and creating a deep crescent into the shoreline. As she did, the two Megalians moved in, one manoeuvring around to take the opposite side of her to the first, while the leading one launched its head towards the pair. The attack bore wide, but recovered swiftly before Terra could take advantage of its split-up form. Across what remained of the beach, the Blazer darted forward, spinning and spreading fire as it went. It was still mostly just running away from the Spikey, however, and its gouts of fire didn't come anywhere near Terra or her SP. It was at about this point that Terra crashed the party hard for everyone else around, with a slamming weight of gravity. The Megalians crashed down to the ground on either side of her, and the HeatJelly, attempting to rise up and draw energy, splattered back down into the lava with an indelicate sound. The Cregg tumbled further down the rocky slope as the gravity weighed on it and even the Blazer skidded temporarily into the pool of lava as it drifted along. the two Catacks lurched to a halt roughly, rocks cracking beneath their treads, and the Spikey was pressed to the ground with its legs spreading out to either side. It looked at Terra and barked in frustration, sending a blazing fireball in her direction, which splattered against the red barrier protecting both her and her SP. the central mass of the gravity well didn't manage to connect with anything in particular, but it had done the more important part of its work for now. Each of the Cattacks, further out, launched shells in Terra's direction while they struggled tog et moving again. Both rounds were more accurate than the elementalist might have liked, and while they crashed in against the pair's other defences – the first dispersing itself on the remains of Carbide's barrier, and the second being weathered on her shield – the lava beneath them laced outwards with sudden, pressure-hardened cracks, going solid under the blastwave, and then shattering into a large space of broken stone, leaving Terra and Carbide both to drop slightly into the hole it formed. All around them, the lava began to spill over the sides of the unexpected pit, though, in reality that wasn't going to be much of a worry for either of them, even as it began to spread over the floor of the hole. On the down side, though, the sudden alteration of the land beneath her caused Terra's casing to fade away, unable to maintain a neutral alignment. One benefit to being in the slightly subterranean position, of course, was that it was that much easier for her to send her waves of earth-sundering force through the ground and out to everything else in the near vicinity. None of her three waves were completely perfect, and the latter two couldn't draw as much potency as she normally managed, without lava directly beneath her feet, but between the three, most of the surrounding viruses were severely decimated. The Cregg's hard body let it weather the first two waves, long enough for it to roll up to the lip of the hole and attack the duo, but Carbide still had an eye on it, and caught the effort on her shield, before Terra's final wave destroyed it. -=Lava Shore Layabouts=- [virus]Megalian-F[/virus]A: 80Hp [Flying][In Front of Terra] -50 [virus]Megalian-F[/virus]B: 80Hp [Flying][Behind Terra] [virus]Catack[/virus]A: DELETED [virus]Catack[/virus]B: DELETED [virus]Blazer[/virus]: DELETED [virus]Spikey[/virus]: DELETED [virus]Cregg[/virus]: DELETED [virus]HeatJelly[/virus]: 70Hp [Lava][Behind and to the left of Terra] -=Hades Hot-Footers=- Terra.Exe: 140Hp [Broken] Carbide.SP: 70Hp [Equipped to Terra] -=Burning Beach-= 10% Sand [Area between the rougher coal, and the rocky edge of the lava] 20% Coal [Ground forming hills and dunes inland of the shore] 40% Lava [Area behind and surrounding Terra and Carbide] 10% Furnace [Scattered patches on the shore] 10% Normal [Most of the area bordering the lava] 10% Broken [Small circle directly around Terra] |

"That went pretty well, let's clean up," said Carbide, producing another shard of earth from her arm to replace her broken shield, as Terra leapt out of the hole that they had found themselves in, back into the fiery pit of lava. The lava started to flow back into the hole as she left it, but the reflow was quickly halted in its place as a column of superheated steam started to rise from the hole. Soon after, water began to rise from the cracks, rapidly filling up a small pool around Terra's feet where the lava had originally been. The duo's original protective barrier and armor began to light up once more, protecting Carbide and Terra with a dim blue glow and a thin dark blue under-armor, respectively. "Good job, Terra, I'll send in the Bandcoon with the cleanup," said Scarlet, her finger dancing lightly across her holo-screen. "... Thank you," replied Terra, as she looked up at the Megalian in front of her, while Carbide eyed the two remaining viruses similarly hovering about behind them. The patch-eyed Bandcoon arrived at her feet as expected, dog paddling in the small pool. It looked up at Terra for a moment before diving into the water, making a beeline for the Jelly virus. Meanwhile, the Navi herself looked back up at the remnants of the fighting force, raising a hand in front of her. The water around her ankles swirled violently before spitting out three spheres of water. The spheres revolved briefly in place before Terra swept her hand decisively, sending them hurtling towards each of the fliers about her. // Summary [Ca.*] Sig: Terraskill: Reflex Guard 1: 1-Hit Shield @ Self, directed forward and up (Reinforce: +1 Hit) [Ca.1-2] Act: Redirect one hit towards Terra on self: Defend [Te.1] Act: Climb out of Broken hole (Movement) [Te.2] Sig: Terraform: Rushing Waters: Large Sea Terrain Change @ Self [Te.*] Sig: Terraskill: Earthen Barrier 1: 20 HP Planar Barrier @ Carbide (Sea: Water, Sturdy Defense) [Te.*] Sig: Terraskill: Earthen Armor 1: 20 HP Planar Casing @ Self (Sea: Water, Sturdy Defense) [Te.3] Chip: [chip=Pickpocket,f]: [chip=Pickpocket,s] [Te.4] Chip: [chip=DoubleShot,f]: [chip=DoubleShot,s] @ Megalian-F A/B (Sea: Water, Element: +100%*Base, Preserver) [Te.5] Chip: [chip=MarkCannon1,f]: [chip=MarkCannon1,s] @ HeatJelly (Seeking: Null High-Alt?) Terra climbed out of the hole as Carbide angled her shield for the climb out. Then flooded both the hole and the lava around her. Raising more defenses from the very sea itself. The HeatJelly, having suffered the indignity of being splashed in the lava earlier, now was livid as all its lovely lava got washed away. It attacked with a wall of steaming lava and struck upon the defenses of the navis. Carbide's barrier blocks the strike on her, holding on by a sliver of hit points, before she directs the remainder of the barrier over Terra. The wave finishes up washing over the pair, leaving them completely unscathed, though the barrier had been turned to steam. Terra summons a Bandcoon who swims up to the Jelly virus and uses its tail to swipe a chip! Then chortles as it retreats from the area. Terra will need to retrieve the ill-gotten gains after the battle. Having awaited its turn to attack, the other Megalian-F virus launches its large head at the pair, just as Terra fires back. The flaming head of the Megalian-F smashes into Carbide, completely missing Terra, and shatters her 2-Hit Shield. Thankfully the shield was sturdy enough that the flaming head didn't pass through to damage Carbide directly. Terra "rips" up the ocean around her and sends two sphere-formed water orbs to spin through the air at the two Megalians. The first strikes the Megalian that didn't attack this Turn. It tries to dodge, but is unable to move fast enough to get away. The salt water douses out the flames of the Megalian-F and it fizzles and falls into the sea. The Megalian that attacked, however, was missed. Its head returning to it shortly after. The third sphere of water also misses. The floating HeatJelly remaining unharmed. -=Lava Shore Layabouts=- [virus]Megalian-F[/virus]A: DELETED [virus]Megalian-F[/virus]B: 80Hp [Flying over Sea; 10HP Fire Aura] [virus]Catack[/virus]A: DELETED [virus]Catack[/virus]B: DELETED [virus]Blazer[/virus]: DELETED [virus]Spikey[/virus]: DELETED [virus]Cregg[/virus]: DELETED [virus]HeatJelly[/virus]: 70Hp [Flying over Sea][Chip Stolen!] -=Hades Hot-Footers=- Terra.Exe: 140Hp [20HP Planar Casing (Aqua)] Carbide.SP: 70Hp [Equipped to Terra; Shield Broken!; Barrier Broken! "Crap, those went kind of wide," groaned Carbide, bringing up another shield from her endless reserves. Her defenses were also refreshed quite readily, with a dim blue glow surrounding her diminutive body sitting on top of Terra's back. On the bright side, however, those defenses held up quite well against the onslaught of the viral threats, and they had also taken out one of them in the wake of their previous attempt. Terra exhaled with a hiss, closing her eyes as she adjusted her position from carrying Carbide. "... Let's try again. Scarlet?" she said. "Sure, why don't you both try it this time?" said Scarlet. Shortly after, the two received their requested chips, and turned towards one of the two viruses - Terra towards the Jellyfish, and Carbide towards the Megalian. The energy that pulsed about Carbide's barrier began to warp about, gathering in their hands in the form of small blue energy orbs. The duo thrust their palms forward, unleashing bursts of elemental energy forth at the remaining viruses. As the energy beams died down, a soothing wave of restorative energy also gathered within Terra's core, repairing the little bit of damage she had sustained earlier. // Summary [Ca.*] Sig: Terraskill: Reflex Guard 1: 1-Hit Shield @ Self, directed forward and up (Reinforce: +1 Hit) [Te.*] Sig: Terraskill: Earthen Barrier 1: 20 HP Planar Barrier @ Carbide (Sea: Water, Sturdy Defense) [Te.*] Sig: Terraskill: Earthen Armor 1: 20 HP Planar Casing @ Carbide (Sea: Water, Sturdy Defense) [Te.1] Chip: [chip=ElementalRage2,f]: [chip=ElementalRage2,s] @ HeatJelly (Sea: Aqua, Element: +100%*Base) [Ca.1] Chip: [chip=ElementalRage1,f]: [chip=ElementalRage1,s] @ Megalian-F B (Sea: Aqua, Element: +100%*Base) [Te.2] Chip: [chip=Recover30,f]: [chip=Recover30,s] [Ca.2] Act: Redirect one attack on Terra to self (Defend) // Turn Splice: 3/5 Terra, 0/2 Carbide |

Terra and Carbide, in a double attack pierced through both viruses, Terra being a Terror with elemental weaknesses ripping through the elemental barrier the fired up Megalian with a watery burst of energy from her ElementalRage chip. After all was said and done, the Bandcoon came back with Terra's chip data, a shiny new (And very much -rare- chip) depicting the HeatJelly's signature lava based attack. With the last two viruses blasted away by the twin attack power from Terra and Carbide, the field was finally cleared, allowing the Bandcoon Terra had sent out earlier to doggy-paddle its way up to her feet and deposit its prized catch. The Navi managed a small nod of appreciation for the summoned virus before it vanished into the ether, leaving the chip data to be automatically transferred to the PET as well. Terra then looked around slowly, surveying the extending shoreline that bordered the vast lava seas. "... Well, I don't think we can go any further. Let's walk back to the entrance," said Terra. "Sounds good to me," said Carbide, keeping herself perched on Terra's back with seemingly no protest from her ride as they both made their way back to where they came from. Returning the way they had come didn't take Terra and Carbide terribly long. They were back-tracking soon enough that no new viral threats had crept into the area since their destructive passage earlier, and the the trip back across the lava field was pleasant enough that they could likely shrug off the feeling that they were walking away from an interesting encounter, and possibly even answers to the over-populous Jelly mystery, just beyond the hill. Still, that wasn't really what they were trekking through Hades for in the first place, so the pair struck out in a fresh direction once they'd managed to return to their original jack-in point. The rock ground in this new direction soon gave way to baking desert sands, interrupted with long, flat stone stretches and the occasional scalding metallic vent that jetted boiling steam into the sky. It was as they were crossing one of these long stone plinths that an ancient-looking Skarab virus shuffled up out of the side a short way off to the side, getting its bones in the right order while it locked onto the pair of interlopers. Another one rose from the sand to the right, a little further on, and a third, directly in front but a fair distance off. A rumble in the ground announced the rise of a small volcano, complete with a small pool of fresh magma encircling it, directly behind the pair, and as it crested and settled, the flow of magma surged and snaked through the sand further, splitting the ground as yet another HeatJelly rose from the molten depths. The crack in the stone also gave off, at its very corner, a faint green glow of light, which Terra and Carbide would certainly be able to guess the source of by now. -=New Prospects=- [virus]Skarab[/virus]A: 120Hp [Sand][to the left] [virus]Skarab[/virus]B: 120Hp [Sand][Forward and right] [virus]Skarab[/virus]C: 120Hp [Sand][More than 1 movement away][Straight ahead] [virus]Volcano[/virus]: 110Hp [Lava][Directly behind] [virus]HeatJelly[/virus]: 220Hp [Lava][Behind Volcano] -=Ground-Stompers=- Terra.Exe: 170Hp [Normal] Carbide.SP: 70Hp [Normal] -=Old Territory-= 50% Sand [Most of the stage] 10% Furnace [Occasional vents] 35% Normal [Several large, flat stone slabs. "... Whoops," muttered Terra, as she gingerly hopped from slab to slab of a giant field of flat stone slabs. "I thought you were going to leave, Terra?" asked Scarlet. "... I only mentioned wanting to walk back to the entrance," she replied, hopping over another gap between the slabs just as it spewed out a powerful jet of steam. "Whoa!" exclaimed Carbide, holding on to Terra's back for dear life as they did so. The steam vents were far and few in between on the sandy spots, but thus far they were able to avoid all of them, most likely thanks to Terra's hidden senses. Their travels didn't go uninterrupted for too long, however, as they started to be surrounded by skeletons and volcano monsters and jellyfish galore. "Heads up, Terra, I don't think we can go with the usual route on those skeletons. From what I've read, they have recovery methods, so we'll need to take them out with one good hit," said Scarlet, who began queuing up chips on her screen as she spoke. "... We'll proceed on your chips, then," said Terra, as the first batch of chips appeared. Or didn't, as it were, since the first few were simply defensive chips. With Carbide raising her self-made shield, Terra raised two of her own, with the AntiFire chip manifesting as a glowing red rune under her feet, and a sturdy iron tower shield swirling to life around her left arm. She raised the tower shield to bear in front of her as Carbide whistled in response, as naturally, her rather small buckler-type didn't quite match up to the sturdily constructed battlechip-type variant. "Gotta get me one of those, too," said the diminutive fighter, getting ready to use her own shield for Terra. Things then proceeded rapidly, with Terra marking her spot on the stone slab that she had found herself on by widening her stance. The red rune under her feet glowed in response, as a microscopic crack appeared underneath two of the skeletons. The crack in the slab proceeded to belch out an impressive wall of pyrotechnics, thoroughly roasting any bones that would happen to have perched themselves above it. Slightly nearer to her, the skeleton sitting to Terra's left would also be receiving a surprise of its own, with an electrical current snaking towards it ever so slowly to give anything in its path a few nasty million volts. "And this one for good measure..." muttered Scarlet, sending in the last bit of insurance to Terra. The last attack manifested in the form of a tiny green serpent, which coiled around in front of Terra, tentatively waiting for her to give it the go signal. Still, she held it judiciously in reserve, waiting to see if any of the Skarabs had survived her attacks, before unleashing its grassy might. // Summary [Ca.*] Sig: Terraskill: Reflex Guard 1: 1-Hit Shield @ Self, directed forward (Reinforce: +1 Hit) [Te.1] Chip: [chip=AntiFire] [Te.2] Chip: [chip=IronShield1] @ Self, directed forward [Ca.1] Act: Redirect attacks on Terra to self: Defend [Ca.2] Act: Redirect attacks on Terra to self: Defend [Te.3] Chip: [chip=FlameLine2] @ SkarabB/C [Te.4] Chip: [chip=RemotePlug3] @ SkarabA [Te.5] Chip: [chip=WoodDragon2] @ Any remaining Skarab Edited by Frelia, Jun 17 2017, 04:15 PM.

After quickly summing up their options, Terra prepared herself to meet and counter incoming attacks, while Carbide was ready to defend. In the time it took them to prepare the three Skarab viruses all launched spinning bones in their rough direction. Rough, because only one of the three bones was remotely on target at all. Carbide leapt up to catch the projectile on her shield before Terra's own more masterful defences could be put to the test, but the concussive recoil of the bone striking her shield left the little SP momentarily dazed and confused. The other two bones curved on their spinning paths and began to return. After the other two projectiles flew past, Terra retaliated with fire for one, and lightning for another, but her final attempt saw the eagerly released serpent shoot past the remaining bone virus without connecting. It circled back trying to reach it again, but ran out of terrain-changing energy before it could make another pass. The Jelly, as Terra and Carbide would have been able to predict by now, started by rising higher and drawing in energy, while the Volcano started to launch a flaming eruption towards the duo, only to have the heat drawn in by Terra's countermeasure, and turned back on it in a roaring inferno that charred the virus from the net. -=New Prospects=- [virus]Skarab[/virus]A: DELETED [virus]Skarab[/virus]B: DELETED [virus]Skarab[/virus]C: 120Hp [Sand][More than 1 movement away][Straight ahead] [virus]Volcano[/virus]: DELETED [virus]HeatJelly[/virus]: 220Hp [Lava][Behind Volcano] -=Ground-Stompers=- Terra.Exe: 170Hp [Normal][2-hit IronShield][Status Guard][2 Skarab attacks Homing] Carbide.SP: 70Hp [Normal][1-hit Shield][Confused!] -=Old Territory-= 35% Sand [Most of the stage] 5% Furnace [Occasional vents] 20% Normal [Several large, flat stone slabs. "Just a few more to go," said Scarlet, the screen in front of her pinging multiple times within her rapid operation through the chip screen. "Geh!" blurted out Carbide, as the spinning bone struck up against the shield, causing it to knock up against her head. Her vision began to spin as Terra hopped over to the spot vacated by the Volcano virus, thanks to its earlier implosion, while making sure her tower shield was still pointed towards the still-spinning bones. As soon as her brown boots touched down on the molten earth, their defenses were restored, with a dim red glow washing over both of them, and a crimson carapace building up under Terra's leotard. However, the carapace continued to build itself up to Terra's arms, forming a large barrel that continued to build itself up to a couple of feet long beyond her free hand. "Bwuh? Wha's goin' on?" muttered Carbide. Heedless of her support's addled quips, Terra leveled the cannon towards the HeatJelly, with the weapon whirring to life as it absorbed the energy from her barrier. Brief moments passed before it expelled its charge, a deep red ball of energy launched upwards towards the floating virus. The barrel then rotated, clicking into what appeared to be another charge. Her target shifted over to the cross-legged Skarab, and the cannon yawned to life once again, this time with a deep red glow akin to that of the lava beneath her feet. The ball of energy this time was much brighter, a testament to its increase in potency. Unfortunately, with the second shot, the cannon on Terra's arm swiftly disintegrated, leaving her without much else to use. "Just a moment," she then heard over the voice link, followed by two beeps in the background. Right on cue, her trusty Bandcoon companion leapt to attention at her feet, standing tall on its hind legs and saluting its master. However, Terra felt no more chips arrive in her queue, causing her to tilt her head in slight confusion. Her unspoken concerns were answered soon, when the Bandcoon took out a small datasphere from inside its fur, and tossed it towards the ground. It then leapt up in the air and kicked its tiny legs around in a spin, upon which two chunks of earth were launched in rapid succession towards the Jellyfish virus. Craftily enough, it was also riding on one of the chunks. Surfing on kinetic energy, it reached its tiny thieving paws out, hoping to snag something nice with them. // Summary [Te.1] Act: Hop over to Lava area: Feint [Te.*] Sig: Terraskill: Earthen Barrier 1: 20 HP Planar Barrier @ Self (Lava: Fire, Sturdy Defense) [Te.*] Sig: Terraskill: Earthen Armor 1: 20 HP Planar Casing @ Self (Lava: Fire, Sturdy Defense) [Te.2] Chip: [chip=AuraHead1,f]: [chip=AuraHead1,s] @ HeatJelly (Barrier: SrcAtk+20) [Te.3] Chip: [chip=LavaCannon1,f]: [chip=LavaCannon1,s] @ SkarabC (Lava: SrcAtk+40) [Te.4] Chip: [chip=Pickpocket,f]: [chip=Pickpocket,s] @ HeatJelly [Te.5] Chip: [chip=DoubleShot,f]: [chip=DoubleShot,s] @ HeatJelly (Normal: Null) [Ca.1-2] Act: Mumble meaninglessly: Filler RP Edited by Frelia, Jun 13 2017, 06:37 AM.

With only a few viruses left to clean up, and her SP currently in an adorable state of confusion, Terra skipped over to the small pool of lava behind her, moving past the mystery data embedded in the ground and crossing the sand in order to let her planar protectives reassert themselves. that done, she made her first attack on the HeatJelly that was right in front of her now, angling up to shoot it with her empowered attack. Just as she fired the shot, however, the Jelly dropped suddenly to the ground, avoiding her efforts as it pumped out a thick wall of lava in her direction. Caught off guard for a moment, Terra's efforts at avoiding the wave of lava were a bit too slow, but as she took the brunt of the wave against her freshly formed barrier, it was probably a good thing – the Mystery Data in the crack in the ground just behind her was spared the Jelly's molten wrath. Shrugging off the assault, Terra's next target was the remaining bone virus, just winding up to launch another bone her way. Her shot struck it just before it could, and it collapsed, beginning to disintegrate rapidly. the other two bones that had been curving back towards her make their second passes as she fired; one missed a second time, while the other broke the last strands of her barrier, but had no other effect thanks to the status protection her shield provided. The trusty Bandcoon had control of Terra's next chip, though it struggled to keep good control of the two chunks of net terrain as it rode one of them towards the HeatJelly. They were mostly made of loose sand, given where the data had activated, and the results were a little unpredictable. The Bandcoon itself leap free just before impact, landing on the HeatJelly and beginning to scrabble around for prizes. The two splashes of sand sprayed wide as they reached their target, and it was hard to tell exactly what was counting as a hit and what wasn't. The Jelly did get liberally covered in sand, however, and began to turn about in place once it rose from the ground, apparently unable to see where its foes had gone. -=New Prospects=- [virus]Skarab[/virus]A: DELETED [virus]Skarab[/virus]B: DELETED [virus]Skarab[/virus]C: DELETED [virus]Volcano[/virus]: DELETED [virus]HeatJelly[/virus]: 190Hp [Lava][Blind!] -=Ground-Stompers=- Terra.Exe: 170Hp [Lava][2-hit IronShield][Status Guard][20Hp Planar Casing: Fire] Carbide.SP: 70Hp [Normal][1-hit Shield] -=Old Territory-= 25% Sand [Most of the stage] 5% Furnace [Occasional vents] 20% Normal [Several large, flat stone slabs. "... Scarlet, swords!" "On it!" With the hostile enemy count reduced to one, Terra called out to her operator for some backup, as she crouched slightly in preparation. Scarlet's response was prompt, and her Navi took action. The fiery ground beneath her lit up, before Terra vanished into it in a wisp of light. Almost instantaneously, she re-materialized atop the Jellyfish virus, joining up with the Bandcoon she had sent up, which gladly greeted her arrival with a squeak. The red carapace under Terra's leotard was already disintegrating, having been disconnected from its power source. Still, she managed to make good use of it by forcing all of the material into her arm, shaping it into a short red gladius of sorts. A sharp exhale followed, before she began to strike repeatedly at the Jellyfish, with her flanking ambush giving her the advantage of surprise. "Uuuuugh, that smarts," said Carbide, who had been left behind on the lava, her Navi off carving up giant red jellyfish. She looked around to see whether anything else warranted attention - and indeed there was. "Ooh, there's something!" she said, skipping over to where the green Mystery Data crystal was hiding in the crack under the slabs, and reaching down towards it to see if it had anything interesting. // Summary [Te.1] Sig: Terraforce: Spirit of Nature: Teleport @ Above HeatJelly [Te.2] Chip: [chip=MoonBlade1] @ HeatJelly (Teleport: Acc+) [Te.3-5] Chip: [chip=Sword] @ HeatJelly (Use 3/6) [Ca.1-2] Act: Examine and open GMD: RP Edited by Frelia, Jun 17 2017, 04:15 PM.

The HeatJelly began to rise into the air and charge its attack as Terra teleported above it and went to town with sharp swords. The virus was diced to ribbons. Then Carbide went and opened the GMD. Unfortunately it was no reward at all, but a beady-eyed mimic. It laughed as it summoned a whole bunch of viruses. Two viruses with swords for arms appeared in the sand. A cloaked virus with a wide-brimmed hat appeared on a furnace vent. A large virus with a hammer and a virus with flaming fists appeared on the line of grass. Also there was another HeatJelly. It popped up next to Terra on the Lava. Floating over the corpse of the previous HeatJelly. If Terra and Carbide were going to claim that reward that the GMD held, they would have to pry it from their cold, dead, data ports. -=Newer Prospects=- [virus]Zemon[/virus] A: 100 HP [Sand] [virus]Zemon[/virus] B: 100 HP [Sand] [virus]Whomper[/virus]: 80 HP [Furnace] [virus]Raider[/virus]: 130 HP [Grass] [virus]Champu[/virus]: 60 HP [Grass] Green Mimic: 200 HP [Normal] [virus]HeatJelly[/virus]: 220Hp [Lava] -=Old Prospects=- [virus]Skarab[/virus]A: DELETED [virus]Skarab[/virus]B: DELETED [virus]Skarab[/virus]C: DELETED [virus]Volcano[/virus]: DELETED [virus]HeatJelly[/virus]: DELETED -=Ground-Stompers=- Terra.Exe: 170Hp [Lava][2-hit IronShield][Status Guard][20Hp Planar Casing: Fire][ Sword: 3/6 Uses Remaining ] Carbide.SP: 70Hp [Normal][1-hit Shield] -=Old Territory-= 25% Sand [Most of the stage] 5% Furnace [Occasional vents] 20% Normal [Several large, flat stone slabs. Landing on the ground after having eviscerated the HeatJelly with her rocky blade, Terra smoothly rolled to a stop, just as Carbide touched the data crystal. The Bandcoon landed neatly next to her as well, peeking into the same crack to see what secrets it held. However, when the crystal decrypted itself to reveal a plume of black smoke, and the sound of maniacal laughing started emanating from the crack in the floor, the Bandcoon yelped, dropping its spoils as it fled the scene. When the smoke cleared, it was nowhere to be found, and the crystal was now above ground, along with a host of freshly summoned viruses. Carbide felt a gloved hand grab her shoulder, and turned around to meet Terra's face, framed with an incomprehensible smile. "Uh... oops?" she said, grinning sheepishly. "... Wait for me in the PET, okay?" said Terra. Before Carbide could get a word in edgewise, the SP's body turned into a translucent image, and promptly vanished. Standing up, she brandished the shield in her hand, having discarded the short blade in her other hand earlier. A dim red glow appeared to envelop her as her defenses started back up. Taking a deep breath, she allowed herself to relax, visualizing the area about her in her mind. Through her battle processes, a set of familiar battlechips started coming in one by one. "There we go... Any reason you sent back Carbide? She seems pretty confused about it," said Scarlet, reconfirming the chips that she had sent. Terra blinked, before tilting her head slightly in thought. "... Sorry, needed some time to think. I'll be heading back to the PET soon myself," she said, looking down at her hand. A small purple energy ball had gathered there, slowly increasing in size as time went on. Then, looking upwards, she saw yet another red Jellyfish, risen from the corpse of the one she had just torn apart. She lightly tossed the purple ball in her hand, which drifted up towards it lazily. The atmosphere in the battlefield suddenly became heavier, as a powerful gravitational force slammed down on everything, pinning them to the ground. Simultaneously, the lava pool beneath Terra's feet began to widen rapidly, with bits of earth being sucked into the melting red rocks from the sudden gravitational shift. The ground then began to vibrate, with its intensity rapidly increasing, until finally, the cracks in the ground yawned open, revealing lava veins all over the area. The vibration crested at a crescendo, graduating into a full-blown earthquake as the lava veins erupted with great force. Terra stood in the middle of it all, her stance resolute as the eruptions happened about her, with her "body armor" slowly beginning to build itself back up as the earthquake began to die down. // Summary [Te.*] Sig: Terraskill: Earthen Barrier 1: 20 HP Planar Barrier @ Self (Lava: Fire, Sturdy Defense) [Te.*] Act: Discard Sword [Te.1] Act: Unsummon Carbide.SP [Te.2] Chip: [chip=GravityHold1] @ HeatJelly [Te.3] Chip: [chip=RedWave1] [Te.4] Chip: [chip=RedWave1] [Te.5] Chip: [chip=RedWave1] [Te.*] Sig: Terraskill: Earthen Armor 1: 20 HP Planar Casing @ Self (Lava: Fire) |

Seeing the fresh wave of viral enemies emerge in response to the Mimic pouncing on carbide's attempt to open it, Terra retained a somewhat distracted look in her eye and calmly sent the confused SP home. Truthfully, she didn't seem to be paying too much attention to the foes arrayed around her; the elementalist navi apparently had her mind elsewhere. The whomper dropped in to blow a stream of fire over her, trying to capitalise on her distraction, but it merely washed over her barrier, barely seeming to scratch it. It also spread the lava pool beneath her further, and Terra continued with her almost absent minded clean up, first slamming all of the viruses down into the ground hard, then setting the magma bubbling. The whomper crashed down first, closest to her, and the HeatJelly that had been trying to rise up to charge was also brought down into the lava with a splat. The Mimic drew in on itself, its mist covering the crystal facets with a barrier of its own, but the first wave washed it away again, along with a good number of the other viruses who failed to avoid the crash of molten rock. the two Zemon had picked themselves up and moved in to attack just before the wave broke over them, but even between their flurry of slashes, they only managed to dissipate her outer barrier. Elsewhere, some viruses survived and some didn't, Terra wasn't really paying attention as the second wave rumbled. It rolled outwards, burning through more of those that remained, and, in a moment of perfect timing, the Champy warped through it, swinging quickly. One blow went wide and the other hammered without effect on Terra's shield, before the third wave obliterated it, and everything else that remained on the field. When the lava settled, An incorporeal representation of the data crystal that the mimic had sprung from remained, and began to unpack itself. Chip data, turned out to be the result, which Terra was able to collect along with her other spoils at last; perhaps some of those might hold her attention in a way that none of the second wave of viruses had even remotely managed. -=Newer Prospects=- [virus]Zemon[/virus] A: DELETED [virus]Zemon[/virus] B: DELETED [virus]Whomper[/virus]: DELETED [virus]Raider[/virus]: DELETED [virus]Champu[/virus]: DELETED Green Mimic: DELETED [virus]HeatJelly[/virus]: DELETED -=Old Prospects=- [virus]Skarab[/virus]A: DELETED [virus]Skarab[/virus]B: DELETED [virus]Skarab[/virus]C: DELETED [virus]Volcano[/virus]: DELETED [virus]HeatJelly[/virus]: DELETED -=Ground-Stompers=- Terra.Exe: 170Hp [Lava][1-hit IronShield][Status Guard][20Hp Planar Casing: Fire] Carbide.SP: SENT HOME -=Old Territory-= 25% Sand [Most of the stage] 5% Furnace [Occasional vents] 15% Normal [Several large, flat stone slabs] 25% Lava [Small area around Terra] 10% Grass [Arcing line that leads out from Terra, forwards] 10% Glass [Line of melted sand terrain leading to the right, where a Skarab was] 10% Broken [Two patches of the desert near the lava pool] -=Battle 2, Victory!=- Rewards: 3300 PickPocket: *Another* [chip=RedWave1,f] MD: [chip=SandWorm1,f] |

With the area cleared of viruses, Terra scouted the vicinity for a spell before she materialized something in her hand -- a piece of paper detailing the Jellyfish that she had just deleted seven of. Bringing her hand up to her ear, she started talking as she began to collecting the spoils of battle. "Scarlet, do you know where this 'bounty' thing that Carbide got came from?" "Netfrica, I think," came the reply. "It's a relatively new setup. There should be a direct link nearby." As fate dictated, in a small branch in the road ahead lay a small teleportation pad, with a tiny wooden sign nailed to the ground next to it. Scratched onto the sign was "Bounty Shop" written in scrawled writing. "I think I see it, I'll head in," said Terra, finishing up her gathering and heading towards the telepad.
