Okay, quick question.

What in the heck is a "Proxy server", and why does it insert slashes?

Proxy server hides your IP from others for anonymous surfing.. Dunno about the slashes.

And while I'm here, is there an upper limit on stats like Attack, Charge and Rapid? I know there's one for Speed.

The upper limit for a buster stat is 5 as far as I know.

*Raises hand* Oh! I have one!

Okay, about Virus battles, do they randomly occur as we post in the Cyberworld threads during roleplay or are they manifested on requests, or some other way?

Generally speaking, you go to a Net Area, and then that is, in effect, a request for a battle. You'll keep on getting battles until you jack out. There are a few areas on the Net that don't have random encounters, though, such as the NetSquare or Internet City.

Since when do signature attack's effects count as 40 towards the damage cap?

Since when do signature attack's effects count as 40 towards the damage cap?

You see, I was in the Rules thread polishing up grammar and bringing rules up to date. When I got to the part where we listed stuff along those lines, I assumed that all the 20s hadn't been updated to reflect the new damage-per-cooldown legislation, but looking back now, I may have fudged it a little. I don't think that I ever saw solid evidence that special Signature Attack effects would be going up in price.

Clarification on damage cost of effects in Signature Attacks, plz?

Well, they were always twenty when all of the new sigs were approved...

All right. In retrospect, that does make more sense, so I'll change it back until I get official word that it's 40 now. Very sorry for the confusion.

Wait, so it IS getting changed to 40?

Nope. I switched it back to 20 in the rules, but if it is decided that it will be 40 per effect, then I will change it at that later time. For now, though, I think it stays at 20 damage per effect.

Why not here...

Navicust change, when is it acceptable?

Could I do it mid-battle if I took an action?

I tried this back on the old forum, and I now know the rule:

Out of battle, do whatever you want.
In battle, it takes A WHOLE TURN.

My question: Is the whole "Mystery Data" mechanics system still active? I haven't seen one in anyone's thread as of yet.

As an RP lurker, I haven't seen one yet either...but I'm not sure it really matters that much.

As a Mod, I just have a hard time remembering that Mystery Data exists. I never recall that it does after the player is a couple of posts into the battle, and after that, it's a little too late. However, as Mystery Data is used in battle, Mods will begin to remember that it's around, and it will probably appear more often.

For some odd reason, the board ain't letting me post a new topic in the Net Square. Some reason for this or is it just a mistake?

Two questions:

1. Is anyone able to mysteriously "find" the rip in ACDC net to go to ACDC Rogue Net?
And
2. Would it be suicide to do so (go to Rogue Net, that is)?

And to Majin: Wow. No clue. Thirty seconds are up, by now, if that was what gave you problems, but taking into account that it prolly isn't the time lock that's got you...
Maybe have another Mod or an Admin/Official check it out?

1: It is theoretically possible, but it isn't likely at the moment (At least I think it is, if I'm on the same page as the people who designed the system). Nevertheless, I'm sure a new path will be opened at some point in the not-so-distant future. Keep plugging and chugging and the answer will be yours.

2: Put it this way - it's definitely harder than any other area we've seen so far.
