So, I asked my friends which game I should get. Kirby's Return to Dreamland, or Sonic Generations. It seemed split down the middle, so I had one place left to turn. You guys. And what happened... you guys picked Kirby. So... do I regret listening to you. FUCK NO I DON'T! And this is everything I need to tell you about the game. Story(contains spoilers) Gameplay Pretty simple, point A to B side-scrolling. Kirby eats guys like normal, he gets powers, and he does stuff that's awesome. So I'll start mainly with single-player. Kirby has 16 classic powers(18 if you count Mike, and Crash). These are Fire, Beam, Sword, Cutter, Bomb, Ice, Parasol, Spark(combined with Plasma), Fighter, Hammer, Stone, Ninja, Wing, Tornado, High-Jump, and Needle. Then there are 4 new powers. Whip, which as it sounds, is used to whip the piss out of your foes, and it can also grab items through walls. Water, which let's you surf on land, and spit water streams at anyone in your path. Leaf, which will summon leaves around Kirby to do his bidding, and hurt enemies, and protect Kirby. And Spear, which allows Kirby to throw, and stab with a spear. These abilities have a lot more different moves in combos that accompony them, very similar to Super Star. As for multi-player, I feel like it works much better then a certain other example of multi-player clusterfuck on the Wii(NSMBWii). Player one will always be Kirby, while the other players can be either Bandana Waddle Dee, King Dedede, or Meta-Knight. Or you could also be a Kirby. The game is definitely fun enough on it's own, but having friends to join is always good. That's all you need to know. There are also 120 energy spheres hidden throughout all of the levels. The more you find, the more content you unlock. These include things like challenge rooms, mini-games, and free access to copy-abilities. There are certain points where you will find glowing enemies, who will give you Super power-ups. These will help change, or destroy environments, so you can find portals, and find more of these energy spheres. As for the difficulty... it's a Kirby game. You probably won't have trouble with the game honestly, and if you find this game addictive(as I did), it won't take too long to beat. Hopefully, you'll enjoy the time spent on it Music Well, this is, in my opinion, one of the game's lesser areas. I did enjoy the music in this game, but I didn't love it, like almost every other entry into the series. There a few remixes of older music in this game. A lot of the music, will start feeling repetitive because you hear it so damn much. I still find it enjoyable compared to many other games. There were a couple tracks I really loved, but again, not as many compared to other games. Still helps set the mood pretty good. Aesthetics Well, really, it's on the Wii, so don't expect it to look too realistic. Then again, 8bit has shown us, that with Kirby, that might not work so well. It still keeps that cutesy, cartooney, look that gives Kirby charm, but gives him an updated 3D appearance. The environments look beautiful though. From cheerful and sunny, to dark and gloomy, they all look quite fantastic. Final thoughts: I believe it was... 98? The first time I played Kirby Super Star. It has been my favorite Kirby game since(except for Super Star Ultra, for obvious reasons). Around 13 years later... I'm happy to say, that this is no longer the case. This is the best experience I've had playing a Kirby game, and I am glad you guys picked this out for me ^_^. Anyway, if you aren't a Kirby fan, I think I'll just suggest renting it. If you are, then add this one to your collection, ASAP. Edited by Quick Man, Wednesday 2-11-2011, 19:23.

Oh, that's fukken great, did you really just tell me that Sonic will die without rings? Who the fuck playing this title doesn't already fucking know that? |

Let's add a bunch of support characters to what is supposed to be the last game of this series anyway. |

Neat. I usually rent Kirby games and this one looks fun so I will probably do that. Same with the Sonic game. |

That's not what I was implying... but I really didn't like Epic Yarn. I was simply stating Kirby's Epic Yarn was not a Kirby game. It was a game with Kirby in it. Just like Star Fox Adventure wasn't a Star Fox game, it was a game with Fox in it. |

Personally, I like using Spark, as it is quick and easy to charge, like Plasma form Super Star, and when it's charged, it does quite a bit of damage. Some of my other personal favorites are Fighter, Cutter, Beam, and a couple of others. |
