Why not just "next semester", since it's 1 year until my Spring 2012... >_>

Can't register yet, but these are the last obligatory remaining:

Electromagnetism II
Program

Quantum Mechanics II
Program

Experimental Physics VI (aka Lab VI)
Program

Then there are "optional" classes, I hope to get at least this one:

Introduction to Physics of the Solid State
Program

I had to type it and translate it all, it might have some mistakes on the technical nomenclature. <.<

fiiine I edited it. I was just being a stupid ethnocentric American/Texan and didn't really think about differences in school systems.

Also those classes look fun if I cared enough about those topics to go into detail. [somewhat different tangent start] Sometimes I wish that if I had a second life, I would do something with outer space. I love space stuff and the science behind that o.o at least simplified since I haven't taken any formal classes on any of that *watching How the Universe Works on netflix now*

Actually, it is about the seasons on each hemisphere instead of school system (that are more similar than I thought it would be). Thank you for caring. :)

I like ecology things, but when it becomes specific (like the rocks and soils things) I think it would be too much to memorize.

Physics looks so much simpler: memorizing just the intuitive principles and then work with them and find out how the universe works. :D

oh right that thing. Wooooooosh. I knew that. I'm simultaneously studying for a test tomorrow, which means my mind doesn't really think through any other topic.

I wanna take my major level microbiology courses already, dammit :\ Also looking for a CHEM2211L that starts at 12:20 and ends around 3 to open up; I know they're there. Just holding this one because it's the next best thing, being a not-8 am lab.

Yeah, so I've heard. An 85% in the class is an A. The grading scale is so wonky to account for all the low scores. And to think, I have to take both I and II ._.

BUT after than I can finally take all the cool science courses I've been wanting to take. Really after O Chem I I can start taking them. So hurrah!

Yesterday I had a scheduled meeting with one of the professors in my research group; together we composed a description for my master assignment. This December I will start a research project in which I will investigate learning behavior in cultured neural networks. The assignment has two major components. One aspect is to find the parameters of the most basic stimulation protocol which can evoke a learning response, the other an investigation into the resilience of networks to unlearning. Particularly the latter problem is of interest, because it is unknown if the learning of one response in a network is paired with the unlearning of an existing response.

When I told the professor I have no experience with working on living tissue, he warned me that it can be very frustrating at times. Even a slightly contaminated pipette will inevitably cause a network to die, and it will do so without warning. Apparently I will be tearing out my hair from time to time.

Maybe that's why the professor's got a bald spot on his head.

In a completely different twist to this thread, due to some legal issues I may be forced into a learning program for the next 8 upcoming weeks. Yipeeee!
