Server ideas?

I have two machines lying around my apartment, unused. One is my old laptop, like 1.8 Ghz processer with 1.5 GBs of RAM, though I imagine thge PSU has a limited lifespan. It has 60 GB of internal space.

The other is an actual server, but is super old. According to the spec sheet online, it has a 650 Mhz processor. No idea on the RAM or disk space though in till I boot it up and check.

So I am trying to come up with ideas to use these machines for. I might make one into a private Minecraft server for my friends, and see how many users I can support before crashing. Any other ideas for the other one? I was thinking of maybe buying more drives and making it a file sharing server for friends, or turning it into a dedicated mumble server.

A dedicated file sharing server would be quite badass.

Filesharing sounds good. It's an interesting idea, it would put my old computer that is lying around and doing nothing to some good use. What kind of Server OS are you planning on using?

Mumble?
I googled it and it says it's a VOIP akin to Vent or Team Speak.

My roommate likes it better than Mumble. No push to talk, and it has chat-to-voice.

The second one is so shitty that it wouldn't really function well with too many tasks and tools.
