Dissapointing ...

Heath Ledger did a good performance, but at least I had expected more from other opinions ...
Christian Bale ... Hell I hated the voice he used in the Batman costume, like he was asphixiating with it ... And only one time he said something interesting (interrupting the Joker during the fund raising party)
The girl that did the Rachel part .... I thought she was ugly and that she hadn't received a great role either ... I mean I didn't even care about her death, she could have done a lot more to actually feel her missing in the movie ...
The Harvey Dent guy ... 't was cool, probably my favorite along Ledger... Well I didn't notice who was he going to become til really late in the movie ... >_>;

BTW are there any other characters that did appearances somewhat secretly?

See, the ones who really LOVED the movie, were batman fans, which you are not. So its understandable. The criticism you raised was mostly valid though.

Jesus fucking Christ Bale's (or is that Eastwood's?) Batman voice was grating. I have heard that his voice was digitally fucked with to make it deeper. You can tell it's not on the same frequency as the other people talking in the scenes with him. I think Heath put on a performance good enough to be warranting all of the clamor about his role as the Joker. The bitch that replaced Katie Holmes is already suffering from old lady face and she is what, 30? I really dug Harvey Dent and whatever the actor's name is that played him.

Gary Oldman (Gordon) was really really good in it.

Aaron Eckhart is the guy who played Dent.

Those darn variables.
I think I've established that I'm pretty much the only person on Earth who liked Batman's voice.

You seem to have the same problems I had, but I still thought the movie was great.
>_>

Christian Bale sounded like he had something lodged in his throat whenever he spoke as Batman.
At first, I thought Rachel should've been played by Katie Holmes, but after she died, and I thought about it. The fact that she's ugly makes it easier to get over her death.

As for Joker... that's a really interesting Joker. He was really different compared to the usual Joker. This one was more elaborate in his plans, more sadistic.

When I saw Harvey flipping th coin, I knew he'd be Two Face. I thought it was like a prelude to the next movie though. When the scene where Rachel/Harvey were in the rooms with the oil drums, I thought Batman would save Rachel and somehow Harvey would miraculously survive and be in the next movie as Two Face. I was wrong, obviously.
>_>

I hate how Two Face was ALWAYS in control though. He always had the opportunity to flip the coin and shoot 'cause no one in the room could actually stop him.

I agree with most of your points, except I really did enjoy the Joker (maybe not to the extent of all the acclaim, but I thought he was great). Overall I thought it was above average.

The thing about the new Rachael is this: if anyone has seen Thank You For Smoking (which you should, btw), you know that Aaron Eckhart (Dent) and Katie Holmes (Rachael from the first movie) are romantically involved. And the chemistry between each other was downright horrible and unrememberable. So, I am glad that we have a new Rachael, even if she wasn't as pretty, because the relationship between Dent and Dawes would not have looked as good as it did if Holmes was still in it.

And yes, I agree with the Batman voice. I read in the papers that it was artifically changed to be deeper :(

I applaud you, since you actually went to see the movie.

I haven't been able to lately, so I can't judge it for myself yet. T_T

Jack Nicholson was a great Joker, but he was basically an updated version of Romero's Joker from the 60's; an odd mismatch to Keaton's late 80's Batman.

Ledger took his performance straight from the post-Knightfall era comics. Sane in his meticulous planning, but completely, psychotically unhinged.

they pretty much left off where the Dark Knight Returns GN starts.

I'd love to see them revisit Bane. he never got the respect he deserved.

Isn't the point of her death that the viewer also suffers the death as good as Batman could? That's my believe and that's why I thought the girl doing it wasn't good enough.

I have no real clue on many characters from Batman, especially if they're as 'normal' people or before they went Superheroes/Villains... So yeah I have no clue who this Scarecrow guy is ... And this is why I missed the Harvey Dent thing until the explosion part <_<;

Oh and Ecto ... I did enjoy the Joker, it was obviously the best character from the movie, but I had expected cuz of the comments >_>

You should watch Batman Begins since it seems like you haven't...but don't expect it to be as good as TDK.

Also Katie Holmes sucks a fat one.
