You are right. I should embrace the butchering of one of my favorate series. Hell, I hope they come out with Mario: Combat Evolved. Now that would be tight. Mario, dressed in green armor, killing aliens. Sounds like a winner to me. Hell, I can't imagine anyone not liking it! |

So that game would automatically suck just because it has Mario crossed over with Halo? Calling it "Fallout 3" will not make the game any different. It might not be as canon as the other games, but standalone, that changes nothing. EDIT: But I still love you, please don't mod kill me in the mafia <3 Edited by Wise, Friday 25-07-2008, 17:19.

Even though I don't like fallout that much, I agree with seto. Fallout 3 is not going to be Fallout 3. I'm not saying it will be a bad game at all... it's just that the reasons people like Fallout in the first place are going out the window in favor of an Oblivion style of gameplay. It will probably have as much in common with the first Fallout games as Sonic Heroes has to do with the first Sonic games. >__> |

I could care less about the first two games and in fact am looking forward to anything that compares to Oblivion. |

imo, Oblivion was meh from a solely gameplay point of view. I had to use the Oldblivion patch to make it run, so I had no shinies to distract me.The gameplay was only decent... |

true, gameplay was acceptable/avarage but the amount of content is ridiculous. not to mention absolute freedom from the word "go". I have currently clocked in around 400 hours on one character and around 100 on another and am thinking about starting a 3rd. I have had it since its release and although I have taken breaks from it from time to time I always end up going back to it or wishing there was another game even slightly close to what it offers. |

Yeah, thats one reason I love Fallout. I remember my favorate moment was in Fallout 2, where I encountered a family in a random encounter, and I killed them all, children included. Later, I ended up in NCR, and I noticed a flier on the side of a few buildings that looked new. I clicked on it to see a Wanted poster for myself! Man, that was really cool. |

The random encounters were the best part of the game for me, but with the damn woman appearing in my dreams all the time, I felt like I couldn't just walk around and kill people... Oh, I remember becoming part of the slaver's guild and doing slave runs. That was like the best way to get weapons and money ever, as long as you didn't die. |

<3 this post. I love oblivion. If I only played that and Morrowind the rest of my life, I could still probably never experience all of the official content AND all of the user-created mods. Well... I mean I could. But it would take a loooooong time. |

<_< I should try to see if Oblivion will run on my laptop. It can run TF2 perfectly... Funny story is that I fucked up both my CD and DVD drives beyond use for about a year and spent a total of about $150-$200 trying to get the damn game to run due to glitches and shit. And when it finally ran... I didn't like it. Aaagh. |

and you would just end up wanting to do it all over again when you finished. well, most of it anyways. some of that user-created content sucks balls (mine, for example >_>) |
