Be nice. Also, considering that I'm already taking into consideration jobs to have over breaks in college this year, would you recommend even trying walmart? I'm thinking no... but it's still a possibility. And whats your new job gonna be? |

It'd be funny to do so the day after you start, but probably not smart to do it any time after tomorrow. |

damn, everyone said 2 weeks? well I told them last night, so I am done as of next wed. as for working there... it really depends. From what I have heard the southern states Walmarts are laid back and are pretty good places to work. you constantly hear about people celebrating their 20th year of working for Walmart. The northern states tend to be more fast paced and demanding to the point of being unreasonable. The store I am leaving has an average turnover rate of like 8 months or something close to that. I think there is one manager in the store that has been there for 10 years and I swear he is fucking insane. Overall I guess if you really can't find anything else its work at least, and their pay is generally decent plus the 10% discount on any taxable item doesn't hurt. And all it will cost you is your soul >_> EDIT: I am going to be working at Norwich Pharmaceuticals. They manufacture, package and ship prescription drugs. Basically I am going to watch machines make drugs for $12 per hour. fucking sweet shit imo. I'll work Mon.-Fri. 40 hours per week with sick time, vacation, retirement, health benefits and a retirement fund. Its all Unionized too. I have never been in a Union before, so I guess I'll see if I actually like that or not. Either way its still an awesome job. Edited by Judge Doom, Monday 14-07-2008, 11:48.

And I'm getting paid as a cashier still when I should be getting $2 more. Despite the fact that they told me I'd be making that 6 months ago, the District Manager won't sign off on the increase because it's "too much" Him and his upwards of $60 an hour pay. I'd tell Kroger to go screw themselves but it's not really their fault and I like the people that work there <_< |
